I am mediately booked an online appointment with Alex who came highly recommended. You do pay prior to arriving but I didn't really mind since I knew we were going to make the appointment. Street parking is available outfront unless it's busy in which case you might have to park a little further away. Once you arrive you'll need to walk through the store before getting to the shop. Alex was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My boyfriend has a colic and when his hair is cut too short it sticks right up. Alex was able to go over some styling techniques as well as products my fiancé could use to continue getting the style he desired. We paid $55 for the men's cut as well as a tip on top of that. We will be getting married in less than three weeks and Alex mentioned that all my fiancé should need before hand is a neck trim. We instantly booked the second appointment and are happy to finally find a place in Minneapolis.

Usually when I go to barbers the trim on top is enough so that it matches the side lengths, not here though I guess. He also barely cleaned up the neck hair on the back. Overall the cut wasn't good, and was charged 35$, way too expensive for a bad haircut. If he did a good job then it could be justifiable. No lineup or anything, so crazy it was that much. Maybe the quality varies per barber, mine was Calvin.

I guess now I know where the crappy business of the neighborhood is in the North Loop. Their website said they accept walk-ins. Obviously they do not. There were zero customers there when I got there and zero customers when I left. They had two barbers doing nothing. They said that since I did not book an appointment online, they couldn't help me. They were so rude I decided it was better time spent to tell people about this experience rather than go on my phone and book an appointment.

He really took the time to figure out what I wanted on my first cut and if I want to try out something different - is receptive to that. I also notice that Mr. B cuts a lot of different hair types and styles (I walk past his shop everyday). He is located in the skyway level of the Alliance Bank Center. Snuck me in as a walk-in between two appointments. No salesman sheen on anyone's faces, just genuine welcome without all the extra niceties. They still use an old register not hooked up to any WiFi or computer or Bluetooth. They only accept cash or... check! Some may say outdated, I say refreshing and much needed relaxed paced small town feel. Such a treat to escape the high-tech, sterile world we are all living in these days. I almost forgot the old school Mr Coffee machine and cookies out for visitors, with the beetles playing between radio announcers just above the hum of conversations ...
