For me, visiting a McDonald's is never exactly a proud moment. It usually means I'm a) drunk, b)…read morehungover or c) suffering a momentary lapse of self control and ruining my most recent attempts to be healthy. We've all been there, I'm sure. Thing is, McDonald's actually is good for those things and if that's what you're after then there's no shame in that. This branch is especially handy in that it's open 24 hours. It also has a drive-thru attached, although I've never used that facility so I can't properly comment on it. In spite of being a small, drive-thru branch they still do all of the major offers (so if you get one of those vouchers for a big mac and fries for £1.99 then go ahead, they'll accept it) and they do all the standard UK menu items, including the specials as they come and go. Food-wise it's the same as any other McDonald's. They can alter your items if you have any particular requirements and they almost always have a few Big Macs and McChicken Sandwiches ready to go as you walk in. If not, they're still pretty quick. Less popular items, such as specials, salads and deli sandwiches take a bit longer, but I'm pretty sure that's true everywhere. You can expect really long queues around dinner time and long-ish queues at lunch time over the weekends. I've only ever once failed to get a seat, though. Plus, the staff are quick enough and clearing the queue and if there's a wait for fries (or if you've ordered something less popular) they'll tell you to go take a seat and will bring it to you when it's ready. The toilets are kept pretty clean and the staff do a decent job of clearing the tables whenever they get chance. The WiFi is free too, so I could even imagine people working here during quieter hours. One very important thing though - don't get the coffee. It's the worst I've ever tasted. Just don't.

Additional specials are often added frequently to cater for the needs of their customers. It is reasonably priced and has a great choice of set meals too. It also offers a delivery service which is good value for money and always arrives on time and hot. If you want a good chinese meal but don't want to venture out of your house, then I would recommend this takeaway. It can get extremely busy but its definitely worth the wait!

I could be wrong but having lived in the area I do know that the takeaway is runned by the surname CHAN Forgive me if I am wrong, I have ventured inside the place, The staff can be friendly and also food is served quickly but not all the time. Understandbly if on a Saturday when it can be very busy you do have to wait a long time for meals. Overall this takeaway is good, But not the best in Blantyre. If you want a real experience you should try out the Lucky House down in Coatshill , The Counter staff is a guy called Bobby, He is friendly. That is a very busy shop and very fast for service. I think Lucky House is family runned and you know that you will get a good service. At least the Guy behind the counter can speak English unlike most Chinese takeaways at the moment. There's also some great value deals to be had with set meals (pakora, popadums, sauces, two curries and a rice and naan) from £13.99. Fan of prawn curries? The king prawn option is £2 more for the set meal, but it really is for quality king prawns, worth the upgrade in my eyes, If you get lost whilst looking for this place... which is easy... you will find it INSIDE the Greenhills Bar pub. A strange location indeed for a takeaway but it is worth the hunt!
