When you walk into Di Moda Jewelers, you see modern European elegance, pure class, not to mention gorgeous stones EVERYWHERE! In fact, I can live here if I could have the choice because it's beautiful, not over done and completely dazzling everywhere you look. They have a selection of things that can fit everyone's taste and budget, I've bought several pieces from them all of which are gorgeous and impeccable quality. In fact, they have a trunk show a few times a year that I make an appearance for as they bring even more amazing pieces from Europe, all within the latest taste and styles. Now onto the service aspect of things, the owner is super friendly and I adore the whole staff here especially Anna always available to help you pick things out, giving you her honest opinions, which is hard to find nowadays. The staff will always be there to guide you in the right direction whether you are getting something for yourself or for a present for someone. The European jeweler is always on site which makes for getting your repairs a quick and easy process. He has an accent, but he's super nice and most importantly very talented. I've had several rings and bracelets that needed repairs and he always made things look even BETTER than when I originally brought them in. You can tell he takes pride in what he does because he comes out and makes sure you are satisfied with the final product. Now that is service that I appreciate. What I love most about Di Moda is there ability to custom order things, you can come in with something that they don't even carry or an idea out of your mind and the staff and jeweler will work together to make it your one of a mind masterpiece. I've had pieces custom designed here and I will only treasure them (pun intended) for the rest of my life. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. On May 6th, 2021 my mother purchased a present for me from Di Moda Jewelers in Wheeling, IL. Unfortunately, the item was defective. It was damaged and had multiple scratches on it. My mother is an elderly woman who did not have her glasses with her when she bought a gift for me, so she did not see the damages in the store. The next day, I took the gift back to the store, hoping to peacefully resolve this situation and get the money back since the item was defective. They do have a policy, they can only exchange items. But since, it was not our fault, and they sold defective item I was hoping that they will give us our cash back (my mom paid with cash). I came to the store, and I asked them what their policy is about returning damaged merchandise? They refused to provide an answer, refused to accept their damage item. Thankfully, I did not come alone. When we went in the store there was a man there and an owner, Malvina. This man called us, two woman all kinds of horrible names in the book, told us to get out of the store. I have never experienced this kind of treatment in my life! I was shocked by their behavior. Instead of saying sorry for selling a damaged item and returning our money, they disrespected us, called us all kind of names. They claimed that they have been in business for over 20 years, and they never had this kind of experience before, I found other peoples' reviews with remarkably similar experiences as we had there today. They do have some positive reviews but it was probably left by their friends, or family members. It was HORIBLE! I am not confrontational person, I thought we can resolve this unfortunate situation peacefully and professionally. I was wrong. These people are crooks! When customers pay them with cash, they "conveniently" forget to give you a receipt for your purchase. Last year, my mother bought an item for them with cash, they did not give her a receipt. She did not go back since the item was not too expensive. This time the same thing happened, my mother bought more expensive item with cash and they conveniently forgot to give her a receipt. Thankfully, my mother went back to the store, the lady did not give her an actual receipt but just wrote down what my mother bought and how much it was. It was just written on a piece of paper. Thankfully, it had their store name and an address, otherwise, we would not be able to prove that we bought this item from them. Finally, when the owner, Malvina realized we will not leave and this low life of man next to her continued to call us different names, at this point she was afraid that we will call police on them ( now, I wish we did called police on this low-life), she finally decided to return our money. However, she did not give us cash and instead just wrote a check. Horrible people, horrible customer service. Please think twice before you decide to shop there. It seems that they purchase used jewelry and resale it for a lot more then it really costs and lie to elderly people. Avoid this store!!! read more

Everything in this store is more beautiful than the next! Their service is always impeccable, and the sales people and owner are ALL SUPER FRIENDLY!!! I love going to Di Moda! The best part is that they have jewelry for every budget, and always stand behind what they sell. That's something very difficult to find in Jewelers. I have also had a number of things polished and fixed by their on site jeweler (who is just a sweetheart by the way) and he always does an impeccable job! As for the lady that commented a few months ago, perhaps your husband should have checked your ring size prior to ordering pave rings. If you knew anything about jewelry with your "fine arts" degree, you would know that pave items cannot be sized without the risk of losing stones... That is like jewelry 101, so instead of blaming someone that has been in the business for 30+ years, you ought to blame yourselves for not thinking before you buy. Di Moda is a really great place to buy jewelry...until you have a problem. They do not stand behind their products and I'm still regretting my engagement ring purchase. They bullied me and made me feel like I was wrong to request changes to a poorly made ring. They don't provide all of the "free services" they will tell you they do. Have been shopping here for about 2 years now and they have been doing a good job of fixing my jewelry and I have actually bought some earrings and they have let me use my earings to trade up. No great deals, but convenient. I feel they are snooty and more interested in the money than pleasing the customer Every time I came in with a dull piece of jewelry to shine, they charged me for re plating with rhodium, including a ring that they had redone about 4 months before. You won't get any complimentary service here. They charge for everything. When I would bring in a watch for a battery, they used to charge me 11.00 (more than anyone else around, including Northbrook Court kiosk. Yesterday I brought my daughter who was visiting from London in because she had 5 watches that needed batteries. They wanted to charge 12 per watch and 45 for a Bvulgari battery. They also want to charge her $5 to remove. A link from a watch that we later realized could be removed by her with no tools. You won't get any good deals there, but they are quick to do repairs. I won't be going back there. If you need a watch battery changed there are lots of places that will. Do it while you wait and don't have that attitude. read more

i'll rehash. My husband bought my ring set here b/c his parents had been going to this jeweler for years. unfortunately this turned out to be a mistake. they wouldn't recast/order me a new ring to start when they sold my husband a size 7 ring and i have a size 4.5 finger. did i mention there are pave diamonds on both my bands? Both bands lost a stone. i brought them in to be replaced and among them telling me when i first had them sized that if a stone falls out they'd replace them(forever) they told me that i'd have to pay after a year or so for the fallen stones. so fine, they replaced both pave stones and i even gave them a third ring i had(that had been in my family for over 30 years and worn daily) to have a pave stone replaced. they were very short with me and i felt bullied by my encounter in the store when their products had flaws, it's not like i'm a carpenter wearing my rings to work in an industrial setting. i was typing on a computer when the stone fell out of my engagement band and driving when the other fell out of my wedding band. i'd like to know how either time was my fault. When i got my rings back all three looked terrible. i cried. my mother's wedding band looked like a child had replaced the stone and both my wedding bands replaced stones looked darker than the rest and sunken into my bands. when i brought them back in to be RE-FIXED they didn't even apologize to me, they acted annoyed to have to be even dealing with this and when i insisted they fix and ship them back to me they were not happy to do that. (though they mentioned that I should have shipped them and they'd ship them back the first time i brought them in) apparently they only do that for brand new customers who just have bought something. i insisted they ship my rings back to me on their dime since this was the second time i had to have them fix their rings, and fix their mistakes. And I live in Chicago and don't have the luxury of being able to drive out the suburbs whenever i feel like it. I received my rings later than they said i would and had to call them to find out what the delay was, they did not call me, and i just received them today. they look the same. there is improvement on my mother's band, but it is still shotty. it's just poor work. I have a little experience with jewelry making from college(fine arts degree) and I did a better job soldering than whoever worked on my pieces, as an 18yr old in college. im so disappointed that they would even allow my rings to be sent back. the delay was that they weren't perfect so of course i expected them to BE perfect. they are not. both my wedding rings's replaced stones are still sunk low and they are dark b/c their jeweler put solder behind the stones. are the serious? i don't understand at all why i wouldn't get a perfect looking ring back from these people. I'm so unhappy and brought my rings to my friend's jeweler downtown. every time i go there with her, he cleans and rhodium plates my rings for free, another thing they dont do at Dimoda, one free cleaning and rhodium plating then you have to pay. her jeweler does it for me and i'm not even a client! and when my mom went to him to get some quotes on some custom pieces he cleaned her rings-one was a guard ring that had a little indent for it to 'attach' to her engagement band and his cleaner thought there was a stone there that they knocked out, and he replaced it then when we realized there wasn't a stone there to begin with, he said eh, keep it it's pretty. I mean come on, that was so generous and unnecessary. i'm never going back to Dimoda. I'm finished with that jeweler, so is our family. btw, my friend's jeweler fixed my rings and they actually look like they did before DiModa got their hands back on them. PERFECT! so they were wrong. there was more they could have done, and ill never go back to them. read more
