(Full disclosure: I knew Rebekah as a friend before hiring her as a photographer.)…read more I found myself in a pinch needing a photographer for multiple Yelp events in one night, and it dawned on me that Liz M had mentioned our friend, Rebekah, was doing photography for her cookbook. I gave Rebekah a call (actually, I sent her bf a Facebook message), and she was happy to help me! Before the event, Rebekah asked for my expectations and the types of shots I wanted. We talked through the two events she was photographing, and we both felt good about them. She showed up early for the event and quietly got to work capturing some amazing shots of the event. Then, she left the first event in Dublin and traveled to the second one in Grandview. She beat me there and got right to work. I just opened my photos from the events, and they are spectacular. I know Rebekah's Facebook and website don't boast a lot about her event photography, but I think that's where she shines. She really captured the spirit and the joy in both events, and the photos will be fantastic marketing tools for me and the businesses featured. I'm really impressed with Rebekah's photography, and I had such a great experience working with her. Here are a few specifics of what I loved: -She asked for expectations upfront. -She arrived on time and didn't need much direction. -She walked the fine line of being part of the event but also blending into the background; sometimes photographers are so noticeable that people won't let their hair down and act natural. Rebekah was perfect! -Her photos really tell the story of the events--nothing posed and cheesy. -The turnaround for getting the photos back was really fast--the next day! This was my first time working with Rebekah, but it most certainly won't be my last. She is an absolute joy, and her work is stellar.

We hired Lois for 2 different sessions - to take our daughter's senior pictures @ Purdue in the Fall AND post-graduation ceremony family pictures. FYI - I did call around & priced other photographers. Lois' fee is very reasonable. Plus, I have the rights to the digital pictures with no set number of pictures to buy from her. And she sent us the gallery in a matter of weeks - fast turnaround time. For the Fall session, Lois communicated with my daughter on photo spots desired & gave sound advise on the clothes that would pop with the Fall foliage background. She had scoped out the campus a few days prior and gave us good advise on what's best for lighting purposes. It was a very relaxed session and the pictures were great. We also wanted Lois to take our family pictures after graduation. We met @ a designated location (arches on State) and she formed in line a few minutes early to get us going. Lois even did me a favor - she bought a couple of champagne bottles for our cork popping photos. Despite the frigid weather (27 degrees), we walked to several locations as my daughter wanted pictures in iconic spots on campus. There was no vibe of getting done quick despite a very cold dreary afternoon. Thanks to Lois' expertise, we now have wonderful Purdue graduation memories in the form of photos. We hired Miranda to do our son's newborn photos. As a first time mom, I was very nervous and didn't…read morewant to hire just anyone to do them. Miranda sat down with me prior to his birth and talked about her process and made me very comfortable. After my son was born I let Miranda know and we set up a time to take his pictures in my home. She gave me great instructions on how to set up my home to make him as comfortable as possible. The shoot was great! Miranda was so patient and great with my son. The pictures turned out fabulously! We have gotten so many complements on them! It was a fabulous investment. We didn't hesitate to hire Miranda to document his the rest of his first year! We went to her in home studio to get his four month pictures taken this fall. Miranda did a great job coaxing smiles out of him! I couldn't believe how well the pictures turned out. For the engagement pictures we went down to a park along the scioto river, we brought our new at the time puppy to be party of the photo shoot :) ! Amanda was so patient with him and got some great shots of him! The wedding day came and so did Amanda with two assistant photographers. Amanda did a wonderful job catching all the moments that I said were important to me as well as 900 extra moments! Each photographer took around 1000 pictures, so between the three of them, there was not a special moment missed! It was really important to me to have all types of pictures, the formal ones, the ceremony moments, artsy pictures, editorial pictures and journalistic. This little portrait studio opened across the street from the new Creekside retail space early in…read more2008 and is a wonderful addition to the development. The owner, photographer Sara Knight, has fixed up the little old Gahanna house and visitors will find the interior space very bright, welcoming, friendly and fun. Ms. Knight is a wonderful photographer, as the photos adorning her walls will demonstrate. She specializes in portraits of families and children and her work is bright, cheery, and hauntingly beautiful. She has a wonderful way with children and can, miraculously, get them to smile and be their best possible versions of themselves. At her request, my own children happily posed in ways and situations that I'd never been able to get them to do at home. I just watched in amazement while she worked and they happily smiled, leaned in, held flowers or gazed at her solemnly. She was wonderful. Ms. Knight runs her studio very professionally and her clients are well cared for. I was very impressed by her and her work and can fully recommend her to other families. As an added bonus, her studio is right across the street from Coldstone Creamery, so you can easily take the kids for ice cream after a photo session with Ms. Knight. How can that be bad?

Lynn recently took our newborn photos (baby, sibling and family) and I cannot day enough about how…read moreamazing they turned out! I did a lot of research on newborn photographers before we booked anything prior to the birth of our baby. We decided to go with Lynn Leitch Photography because of the multiple recommendations we received from other mom's on Facebook, the quality of her work, and her reasonable prices. We knew we wanted to purchase the digital photos from the session so that we could print our own photos and this was something Lynn offered that not all photographers do! She kept in constant contact with us leading up to our due date and was quick to answer any and all questions I had. She sent out an online questionnaire ahead of time to learn more about the style of photos we were looking for (including color schemes and any specific poses we wanted to include) in order to prep for our session. She also sent a reminder email the day before (#mombrain is SO real) and a prep guide which gave instructions on how to get the baby ready before the session and what to expect during and after the session as well! The studio is located in her home which is located conveniently in Hilliard. She has dedicated space in her home where the family was able to get ready which included snacks and toys to keep big brother occupied! After the sibling and family photos were taken at the beginning of the session, my husband was able to take my son to a park which was only a few minutes away while Lynn finished shooting our newborn photos as well. Lynn was extremely patient, kind and caring on the day of our session. Our 2 year old son was less than cooperative during the shoot and you never would have known based on how amazing the sibling photos turned out. Even though our baby stayed awake nearly the entire session, we never felt rushed. Lynn took her time to get beautiful shots, and was patient while we took multiple breaks so that I could feed the baby. She was also very understanding and let this very tired momma relax on the couch and get some rest while she focused on the baby! All in all, I am so happy that we went with Lynn and I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a newborn photographer in the Columbus area!
