Interestingly, the several highlights that I had were fleeting, lasting only a single day before fading the following day. ‍Not to mention it was way overpriced. DO NOT GO HERE!!! WARNING - you will get ripped off!!! I went to Brooke for a brown balayage to fix harsh blonde grow-out and sent her reference photos, and reviewed a second time day of , showing exactly what I wanted. As she was blow-drying, I realized she had brought the blonde all the way back up to my roots--completely opposite of what I requested. The result did not match my request at all. She insisted that the "grow-out would barely be noticeable" and said some clients don't have to come back for 5+ months, which is what I was hoping for--but it's not the case. After waiting to see how it grew out, it still hasn't improved. The color is chunky, the grow-out is stark, and I'm left extremely dissatisfied. Overall, I wasn't heard, the color was not what I wanted, and I'm out $500, which is absolutely absurd. My questions about fixing it have gone unanswered, and the salon refuses to issue a refund after 7 days. I would not recommend Brooke as a stylist. Go anywhere else ! read more

Worst hair color ever and the most I've ever paid! Do yourself a favor and don't go here!! Brooke highlights using bleach and foils and then charges $400!!! Hairstylists have been using bleach and foils for over 40 years and it's the cheapest to use. My hair is fried and pale yellow like I got it done in the 90's and to think she charged me $400!!! I was in search of a new hairdresser as mine had gone on maternity leave and decided to not come back to work. I became stressed and found myself in search for a new location. I don't have social media so my search locations were limited. I found DG Salon here on YELP. I began looking through photos and decided to schedule an appointment with Denise. Calling to schedule was a breeze. The girl who answered was really easy to talk to and answered some questions I had with pricing. Pricing was pretty much all inclusive with color, toner, cut and style ($450). There are no hidden agendas at this salon. The place is super cute and chic. Air conditioning was on full blast on the hot day I went so it was super comfortable! I sat with Denise and showed her inspiration pictures from Pinterest, discussed what things I liked and didn't like from the inspiration photos and she made it happen. She literally nailed the blonde balayage photos! I'll definitely be back for my follow up in a few months before the holidays. If you're in search of a new place, look no further and give Denise a call! read more

She text and told me because of that she isn't a good fit..basically wouldn't let me reschedule. She is extremely rude and bitchy, she should NEVER treat her clients this way as along with losing me she lost the woman who referred me and lost our referral to many friends. Okay customer service. Brooke did my hair and we had emailed back and fourth prior and she told me the price i was going to pay for the picture I sent as inspiration. Never did she say that she was not going to be able to get it to look like that. I understand I was not going to get the blonde I wanted because I have dark hair but she did not a explain anything she said she did a full balayage and on me and this is what she gave me for $325. I have mixed feelings about my experience at DG Salon. I found Brooke on Instagram and booked an appointment with her via text. She was very quick to respond and answered all my questions. I was asked for a $50 deposit because I was a new client. No problem. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I had brought some pictures and Brooke and I spent no more than 3 minutes discussing what she was going to do (partial highlights). I suppose it was enough for her, but I wasn't fully confident that we had come to an agreement. She just sort of "went". Pros: 1) They work very quickly. I was in and out in under two hours. I usually spend at least 3-4 hours in a salon, so that's a major bonus. 2) Nice salon, friendly staff. 3) My hair does look nice; they know what they're doing. Cons: 1) I paid what I would consider a lot of money for PARTIAL highlights ($325), and for a result that doesn't look THAT different from what I had before. 2) The brushing/detangling that was done to my wet hair was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had in a salon. They were TUGGING on my hair so hard just to get it done quickly, instead of taking their time to not damage my hair in the process. 3) At no point did Brooke ask if I was happy with the result. She and her assistant dried my hair and immediately started curling, and never once did she ask me if I liked it or if it wasn't what I was expecting. As soon as she was done, she whisked me outside so she could take photos and videos for her Instagram. 4) Overall, I pretty much just felt like a cog in her Instagram wheel. It's hard to find a stylist that knows guys hair. I have known Colleen for some time now, she isn't here all the time so make sure to get an appointment with her. I love every time she cuts and styles my hair it is perfect and I wouldn't go to anyone else. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. They even ask if you are thirsty right when you get there! if you're a girl of color, PLS DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON i dealt w brooke and i told her numerous times i wanted a beige blonde balayage and both times i went to her she gave me bronze brown highlights... and then when i went for extensions maintenance the two final times i went she left me with shorter hair than i walked in with and when i asked for a refund bc it was not what i wanted/asked for since i payed for two wefts (one for thickness and one for length) , she literally threw a fit and was whining to her mom that i'm not understanding what i want u can tell in the other reviews too that it's only the girls of color having issues w the salon also sooo.. save ur time , money , and gas baddies!! if you want extensions done correctly hit up @lahairextensions_ on instagram and instead of paying for a balayage you don't want hit up @createdbynicolle !! they'll for sure get you right read more

CHERYL is my one and only! No one has touched my hair besides Cheryl for more than 30 years. When she lived in Japan for a year, I waited for her to come back. When she was ill, I cut and colored my own hair. When I had short hair, I went to Cheryl every three weeks. She gave me a new style practically every other time I was in her chair. At first I would bring pictures, and she would duplicate the look PERFECTLY! Then as time went on, I would sit down, we would start chatting, and she did what she thought was best. We didn't even discuss anything. That's how much I trust Cheryl!! Everyone has different hair and different needs. Cheryl understands hair texture, so she will advise based on what will work with your hair. Most stylist will do what you ask, even if it wouldn't suit you. I usually go for a cut and color and she always manages to squeeze me in last minute (I need to get better about planning my appointments). Her salon is classy, simple, clean and comfortable.
