Specifically, we brought in Nailed It Contracting to replace and paint the kitchen ceiling (after we had taken down the nasty '80s-era drop ceiling that was concealing old water stains and crumbling plaster), repair and paint the walls (which were full of damage and several layers of wallpaper), demo old built-in cabinets and lay tile on the floor. He satisfied each of these tasks. Additionally, we were impressed that: * Sam provided a written quote estimate that laid out all of the costs, * He held to this quote when he had to change gears on part of the plan, after what he thought would work did not, * He was flexible when we added a few things to scope of work, providing a change order and updated price for us to sign so that everything is documented, * He showed up when he said he would and generally finished the job during the quoted time period. Overall, we were very impressed with his professionalism, honesty and quality of work. We'll definitely have him back to work on more of our house.

DOES THIS LOOK LIKE QUALITY WORK TO YOU??!! First of all, his sales person told me a lie to ensure…read morethey got the job. I wanted another estimate after talking with him and he said materials had been ordered, so i felt bad and went with them. THAT WAS NOT TRUE! This job was started may 10 and I was very specific it had to be finished may 16 for realtor pics on 17th. They didn't show up on 15th and didn't call. Rained on 16th. On 17th, they rushed to get finished before pictures and were still there when photographer showed up. I hurriedly wrote a check to Ben Macy, the owner. As you can see in the pictures, there is spacing on the railing. The stairs are awful, looks like wonky stairs at a fun house. They are not level. They are leaning. The stair rails are leaning. How is this considered quality work?? I was told it's because we used the original risers. But my stairs were not crooked at all before this. As you can see, the first board is not level with concrete. This has nothing to do with riser- previous board was completely level with walkway. The next day, the18th, we talked and i told him i need the stairs to not be leaning. He said they'd be out the next week. Didn't hear from him, they didn't show up. I called Ben on may 29. They couldn't come out that week because they were finishing a big job. WHAT ABOUT MY JOB YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED?? Today is June 13 and i still haven't heard from Ben or seen his crew. Not one phone call
