Simon responded with a reasonable quote and was able to start the repair within a couple of days. He was quickly responsive to FB messages and communicated clearly on when and what his plan was. He needed to visit 3 times to patch, coat, sand, and prime but still completed the job in less than a week. I felt very comfortable having him in my home. If I need any more work done, I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again. Thank you for a great experience.

We couldn't have chosen a better person to do the job. Simon is very talented! I am very picky when it comes to painting and we were incredibly pleased with his work. We had a newly renovated kitchen, mudroom and family room painted including walls, trim and ceilings. Simon was meticulous about the quality of his workmanship and provided great advice on paint colors. He was super easy to have in our home for several days and was always professional, respectful and communicative. The end result was beautiful! We would highly recommend Simon for any paint job. You will not be disappointed!

If there was a "ZERO" star rating, I would rate these guys as such. Mediocre work, unprofessional,…read moreand dishonest. We were first-time home owners and, therefore, naive. We hired him to paint the house, fix siding, and replace windows. Come to find out, the majority of the homes in our neighborhood all had the same structural rot issues as ours. Christer knew all about the rot issues that plagued the neighborhood. I became aware of the issues when the workers mentioned it to me. An honest human being would have warned us about the issues prior to starting the project. I agree with reviewer Paul C. that Christer's sales skills are effective but duplicitous. As with others, this was a "lesson learned" moment for me and my wife. 1) The paint job is terrible. Roughly, after two years, you can see the old paint job through the "new" paint job. A couple of spots were missed, which is totally understandable. However, I requested a "walk through" 3 times. Never got one. 2) The craftsmanship is inconsistent--some spots are good, whereas other are mediocre and sloppy. 3) Unprofessional: precautions were not taken to avoid dirt and such being tracked into the house. Moreover, work done in a bedroom involving dry wall never included covering up the bedroom furniture! It never occurred to them that dry wall dust was all over a child's bedding, clothing, and toys!! The effort to clean-up the work done in and around the house was terrible and sloppy. After talking to many in our neighborhood, their experiences with other contractors were far more positive and successful than ours with Mattsson.

Great service. They have a good crew! Hope to keep working with them soon. Highly suggest them!read more

We hired Bill to work on our deck and make it more secure. It was never bolted to the house when it…read morewas built and it started shifting away from the house and becoming unstable. Before starting the job he came to the house and did a thorough look-over of the deck and took notes. The next day I had another contractor come by to give me a second estimate for comparison. They barely looked at it, didn't mention all the things that Bill pointed out, told me they couldn't do it until 3 weeks later, then said it would cost twice as much as Bill's quote. Needless to say, we went with Bill. He started the job quickly and wrapped it up even quicker. When he was done he even quoted us on painting the entire deck, which we took him up on because painting a deck is a major pain in the ass. He completed the painting in about 2 weeks (due to weather and holidays) and it came out great. The deck required 3 coats due to the dark stain that was originally on it, but Bill didn't change the cost of the job or complain. I'll call him again if we have another big project that we need a hand with. He's a good dude.

Where to start?! Last year I contacted Mac of all trades to…read moredo a deck roof repair. They came...gave me an estimate.of 500.00...to do minor repair to stop the roof from leaking. After it was done...the roof leaked worse than before...they were notified and eventually came back and said...oh...they forgot to use the silicon deal on the seams...they came back and supposedly did the silicon sealing... Next rain...still leaking...and continues to leak... definitely worse than before their attempt to fix it. Here's the main problem...I contacted them...told them I needed them to return and fix the problem as I wanted to paint the deck...and now...the water is much worse and I can't paint it until the leaks are properly repaired.....no callback after a bit of time.callex again...no answers...left messages several times......nothing. Finally wrote them s letter which I still have a copy of....nothing...no response...ever...called once more...nothing. Weather turned to winter and I left it go...now out 500.00 dollars and my roof is leaking horribly. I just experienced another rainy day ...horrible leaking going on still but am totally fearful of hiring someone again for fear of being ripped off once again. These guys are aweful..im retired woman alone and I trusted them to take my money and do the job. I don't like complaining but my daughter's are angry now that I've told them why we can't sit on the deck when it rains as we did before these people made a small leak turn into a huge disaster...then totally refuse to get back to me when I tried to contact them over and over again....I lost 500.00... Horrible people...they sure are as unprofessional ad they come...I would never ever recommend them. It's one thing to make a mistake and fix it....quite another thing to take your money and make a major mistake and never acknowledge it by totally ignoring you. I truely wouldn't give them one star...but had to in order to post this review...beware senior citizens....these people are not reliable

After a meeting with my mother, and clear explanations of what we needed and her mobility issues, we got a quote from Cam at Careful Cut. After a few days of working on the project, Cam told my mother the work was done. Being a trusting person, my mom paid him. The work was not done. There was a large gap between the house and the railing (unlike the railing that was replaced) which was a major safety hazard for an elderly person. See picture. The railing that was there was splintery and not sanded. He also missed a number of spots when painting. We contacted him and asked him to complete the work. At first he said he would "see what he could do about the railing and that the door was in the way". Note that the door was only in the way because he forgot to account for door opening when building the steps. When, a few days later, we asked him again when he could finish the job , he sent a rude message then ghosted us. We had to hire someone else to finish the work. Do not hire Cam at careful cut carpentry
