Are the prices as good as Chicago Lake? Nuh huh. Is it the best liquor store in River Falls? I believe so. Huge selection of wine for a small town joint. Large walk in beer cooler with a great selection of craft beers. It was the only place in town that I could find Bell's Hopslam when it was released for the season last winter. They always have what I am looking for whether it be beer, wine or spirits. While I do contribute a good amount to their coffers, the staff is super friendly every time I am in. Always asking me if they can help me find anything, offering small chit-chat and thanking me for my business. Oh, and they are open until Midnight and on Sundays! In your face, Minnesota! read more

Divine Liquor recently opened here in River Falls in the middle of June 2011. I am thankful to have a liquor store on the Northside of town especially one with such a nice selection of wine, beer, and spirits. I visited Divine Liquor the first day they opened and was happy to see that the owner John there. He was very friendly and welcomed me to the store. He talked about some of their upcoming special and showed me the walk in beer cooler. They have my favorite Vodka and a good selection of wine so I will be back. One other thing that is kind of funny is that this same location use to be my sons daycare center. I actually took them in so they could see how different it was. read more

Highly recommended! I go out of my way to visit DeVine because the owners go out of their way to make customers happy. Always willing to help and open to new ideas. They have great prices on beer and liquor and a selection that's the best around (including the Twin Cities on several limited and hard to find spirits). The small, family owned business are under constant pressure by big-money, big-box stores so supporting DeVine is a no brainier. Thanks to John et al for great store! read more

Love this little liquor store. My husband goes to school in River Falls, and we travel here from Minnesota even when school is not in session (during summer break or J-term). Workers are always really nice and helpful. They have a wonderful craft beer selection and wine selection they even have home brewing supplies which is wonderful. I chose Devine Liquors to provide the alcohol for my wedding. The staff was knowledgable and the prices competitive, but I had a major issue with their customer service. I was told that they would refund up to $500 worth of unused and salable product, which was one of the reasons I chose them. After the event, I left several hundred dollars worth of product in their trailer for them to pick up, expecting to be refunded... I spoke to the owner soon after and he agreed that he owed me money, sent me a picture of the merchandise I had returned, and said he would mail the check to me right away (I don't currently live in the area). Well... I haven't heard from him since. It's been a month since he agreed to mail the check. Now I can't get a hold of him and I have no idea why. I was appalled by the lack of concern for customers. Long story short, if you are ordering for a large event and want to be able to return unused product, shop elsewhere. read more

I approached Devine Liquor to ask to hang up flyers for my daughters benefit and if they would possibly like to give us a donation. the girls behind the counter said oh sure we usually give some sort of wine basket but you will have to speak to the owner. I called a few days later and spoke with the owner who indicated that he had been very busy planning his wedding but that he did see my daughters flyers in a pile of paperwork he wasn't able to get to yet. He specifically told me to call back the next week and he would see what they could put together. When I called it was like he was a totally different person. He started out by yelling at me because he had a wedding to plan that he didn't like that I was expecting anything from him. I never once expected anything from him or from all the other wonderful donators that came forward. All he needed to say was we aren't able to meet your request and that would have been the end of the conversation. It happens. not every place will or can donate to everyones cause I completely understand that. BUT, he continued to yell at me and tell me that my daughters rare brain disease was not his problem and that he didn't care. He went on on about having his own family to take care of, how busy he was preparing for his wedding, and that it was expensive. He then hung up on me. I called him back because I didn't want to leave the situation on bad terms and I just told him that I understood his reasons and that I never had an expectation. He started yelling at me again and then I decided to end the phone call. I will never step foot in this store again. NOT because he was not able to donate, but because of the way he treated me as a human being AND because he simply said he just didn't care. Those are the most stinging words that anyone could hear when they are struggling. A simple no, a kinder voice, and a little caring was all I expected. read more
