Very usefully just down the road is a chip shop, so you can get fish and chips - and an ice cream dessert to follow.

The products are overpriced and often out of date, the staff in my experience usually rude, and the queues horrendous. I haven't even mentioned the Onion Bhaji I bought once, which was the size and toughness of an unexploded World War 1 bomb. Never again! The potato wedges are alright, though. Go there if everywhere else is closed and you're desperate for a pot noodle.

A top quality deli at the westernmost point of the British isles. Manned (womanned?) by a dedicated group at the back of the shop who will knock you up a sandwich to go in minutes. Great local cheese counter. Lots of tasty pies, pasties, sausage rolls and scotch eggs. A couple of shelves of excellent white and red wines. And lots and lots of great quality bits and bobs from chocolates to pasta to dairy products. It's really well curated and the sort of place you'd expect to cost the earth. But it really doesn't. Very fair prices. A large baguette packed full of whatever you want will cost less than a fiver. We go there every day when we're on holiday and take our booty down to Whitesands for a delicious packed lunch. And when we're cooking, it's a great place to buy posh produce and a bottle of Pouilly Fume to go with the lobster or crab from down the road in Solva. Insider tip. Go early. Lunchtime gets crowded and although they work quickly it will be a bit of a wait if you're getting a packed lunch. This place is an absolute godsend if you like your food and wine. Tesco express stocks a surprising amount of goods considering its Small size. It is always very…read morewell stocked, and has much cheaper snacks and lunch options such as sandwiches than Sainsburys Which is just around the corner from Tesco. Quite often, there are reduced items that are great to buy very cheaply, although you wouldnnt be able to do a very extensive weekly shop here due to its small size. Also, the que and till is very difficult to get to, and cramped to stand in when there are a few people waiting. Despite this, staff are friendly and helpful.

When we stayed at Brynowen we found that from our caravan at least Nisa wasn't significantly further to walk to than the camp shop so going there was a no-brainer really. The shop is very nicely presented, offers some decent promotions and the staff were all polite and friendly. There a cash machine outside although there is a charge for withdrawals so better to get cashback in the shop. Having said that you need more than a fiver to pay by card.
