Traditional, delicious German food and beer are served here at a great price - 2.5 euros for beer and 8-10 euros for main entrees. Staff has been really friendly both times I have been here. I asked for dressing on the side of my salad and they happily obliged while other mom-and-pop restaurants seem to take a slight offense at that in Germany... but I can't totally abandon my Californian health habits just because I am travelling! It was crowded when I went today (the 30th) but was almost empty last year (12/31). You pay 50 cents to use the restroom but save the ticket so you can be refunded via your check. Also after you can take a refreshing hike around the perimeter of the lake, which takes about 90 minutes to complete. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Enjoy!

Nachdem die ehemalige Gaststätte "Seeblick", die den Anforderungen an eine moderne Gaststätte nicht mehr gerecht wurde, Ende 2006 abgerissen war, entstand an gleicher Stelle für den Campingplatz ein hochmodernes Sanitär- und Wirtschaftsgebäude. The food took an hour. I do not mind waiting for freshly cooked foot, but: Two out of four dishes were totally overcooked - my liver was the driest I ever had. The trout one of my guests had was delicious though, which, together with the location, avoided being rated one star. This was a business dinner. I asked for a receipt. The printer broke. A lot of sorries. A small complimentary treat would have been appreciated - after all, they made us wait 20 minutes - and issued a reprint - see image - which is unacceptable for German tax authorities. So after less than mediocre food I am also left a receipt that is clearly of no used. As much as I loved the location, I do not think I will go again. In other reviews, the pizza place adjacent the sea - an equally nice location - was recommended. If I ever chose to to dine in the area again, we'll try this one.
