I have to agree with Lydia on the customer service front, not the best. Yet some of it was good. One of the staff could sense I was a bit nervous, and then gave me a glass of water which I needed. Maria (my therapist) was also quite helpful. Came here for a colonic irrigation/hydrotherapy session, and the hardest part was putting the catheter in you know where. Had forms to fill in, and then they almost forgot to staple my voucher to those forms. You are escorted to your own room, and you have a bell to press if you need any assistance, and then a therapist attends to you. In the first five minutes of the treatment I was in extreme pain, almost crying. All I had to do was push the water out. I thought it was coming out. I had to push like I was almost in labour, and bingo I felt so much better. The bulk of my crap coming out, and yet there was about seven more litres of water to flush. I already used a litre at this stage for 90% of my crap. No wonder why I was told I was constipated which wasn't true. You use an electric massager to massage your abs for an easier detox. Maria gave me a heat pack, I was ever grateful for that. Then the rest of the treatment flowed and I did not want it to end. Towards the end I was just flushing clear water back. Why do they want you to do four sessions when results were achieved in one? This treatment will set you back $129 per session, yet it is worth it. The painful part is at the beginning, especially when things are stuck up at you. read more

I'm not normally one to leave a review but the below reviews are the complete opposite of my experience at detoxologie and wanted to share my experience. I've been going regularly the past year and it has changed my life. I had seen so many doctors about my constant bloating, acne, and strange allergic reactions. Doctors had sent me to expensive allergists, put me on an array of different medications and spent thousands for no changes. I decided to go see their Naturopath at Detoxologie and have regular colon hydrotherapy as a last resort and Fae started treating me for leaky gut that medications actually cause and I couldn't be more grateful that I'd finally found something that treated the cause of my symptoms, not just treated the symptoms themselves. Any time I'm feeling a bit off, I go to see Fae and she's always been able to tell me what is going on with my body and help. read more

I have been to this clinic a number of times over the past couple of years and at least 3 times they have taken extra payments from my card (twice they took double payments and once they took FIVE duplicate payments months after my last communication with them). Each time has been their error and a nightmare trying to get the money back. The last visit was 4 weeks ago and I have just left Faye a 3rd message asking her to call me to issue the refund and she has just FINALLY called me back to issue it. In the meantime, I had already written a 1 star review on google and received a quiet threatening reply saying my accusations are false and a subtle threat to take the matter further and sue me. My bank statements, emails and records back up my story so if you read this review, Faye, I welcome you to take the matter further. read more

I have trusted and been treated for various well being and health issues with Fay for over 4 years, most recently for naturopathic treatment to alleviate the symptoms of advanced gallbladder attacks and pancreatitis whilst waiting for surgery. With Fay's experience and expertise I have been able to eliminate the gallstones, leaving my radiographer stunned, heal naturally and rebalance my internal health. Whilst the treatments may not for everyone, they are thorough and Fay and the team have been exceptionally supportive and professional throughout. You cannot put a price on your health and wellbeing and this clinic has helped me avoid costly surgery and ongoing health issues with life changing results read more

AWFUL. The worst customer service I have ever recieved. The staff were unfriendly, bitchy and unhelpful. I am so outraged by the service here - they accused me of lying and almost refused to give me the refund they promised me. Never go here. Tell all your friends to avoid it like the plague, even if they do offer cheap services. You get what you pay for and this is the worst. read more

My experience at Detoxologie has been wonderful. I have had a range of services there the past few months including the lymphatic massage, colonic therapy and the body scan which was 100% accurate, by the way. I have NEVER had bad service. I walked in yesterday after having been unwell for weeks. I had seen several doctors but still was not feeling better. Within 5 minutes of me being there Fay began her magic and I left with my remedies, along with a vitamin c shot .. which when she tells you it hurts believe her! Fay said I would be better by the evening and I was. Today I feel better than I have in weeks. The cough has subsided and I have more energy and am back at work. Fay knows what she is talking about and is honest and has genuine care for those that seek her advice. She may be direct and stand up for what she believes. What's wrong with that? Thank you Fay. I think you are amazing and would not hesitate in recommending you. read more

I received an Xmas voucher for a 1hr 24 Carat gold Facial, 30min Hot Stone Massage and 30min Shiatsu Foot Massage and Wrap. I planned to use the voucher before I returned to work, but it was valid until the 21st of March. I called the bookings number after New Years Day only to find that they were fully booked for the entire week prior to my return to work on the 14th of Jan. I had also discovered in the fine print of the voucher that bookings on weekends incurred a $20 surcharge. I couldn't justify paying an additional $20 for the same service offered throughout the week. Strike 1 on the problem tally. I then decided to try and book for Australia Day as I would not be working. Again, I called the bookings number to confirm an appointment for that day, only to learn that they would not be open on Australia Day. This surprised me as most businesses in the Retail Industry are usually open on that public holiday at shortened hours. Strike 2! I then decided to take Annual leave to use the voucher. I tried for a date in March as the voucher was valid until the 21st, but upon calling to arrange my third alternative appointment date and time, I learnt that all bookings must be made by the 21st of FEBRUARY. Strike 3! By this point I was wishing that I'd never received this voucher as a gift. I had exhausted all options and had no other choice than to book for a Saturday AT MY COST! I called the bookings line for a fourth time and requested an appointment for mid-morning on the16th Feb. I was advised that these appointments were booked, and the next available was at 1pm. Defeated, I booked the 1pm time. But the trials did not end here! I received a call the following day to advise that there was a double booking for the 1pm appointment and that unfortunately I was the customer that was losing out. Strike 4! They offered me an alternative time of 3pm, which was a great inconvenience for me so I opted to try for the following weekend, the 23rd of Feb. Surprisingly, there was availability for 12pm and I was quick to snap up that time. Finally, I saw some light at the end of the tunnel and was happy that things were going my way. Alas, things can change at the drop of a hat. On the 15th of Feb, I received a text message to confirm my appointment for 3pm on Saturday the 16th. Confused, I called the office to figure out what was going on. I advised them that I rescheduled the appointment for the following week, but they couldn't find that booking in the system. Eventually the booking for the 23rd was found and I was told that the appointment for the 16th would be cancelled out of the system. I was living stress-free for the next week, and actually looking forward to a relaxing day of pampering. On the day of the massage, I checked the confirmation message to confirm the details, only to discover that the confirmation message actually read 1.30pm instead of 12pm! Admittedly, I didn't read the message when initially received, because I took it for granted that it would be correct. Without thinking, I turned up for the 1.30pm appointment and was advised by Detoxologie staff that my appointment was indeed for 12pm, and that I would have received 2 confirmation messages - the first for my 12pm appointment in one room (which I didn't receive) and the second to inform me of my room change at 1.30pm for the next part of the process. I had unwittingly wasted my Christmas gift on what would appear to be their error. I am now more frustrated and angry then what I was before I received the voucher. In each interaction with Detoxologie I have found the staff to be unco-operative and lacking in customer service and problem-solving skills. I have felt like a sub-standard customer because I am a voucher holder and not paying the full amount for the services, which I don't feel is right. If you want a voucher holding customer to return to your establishment to pay full price for your services in the future, you should treat them like royalty and prove that your service is worth paying for! Furthermore, I found that the voucher offer would have been fantastic value if you were able to secure a booking. This was made extremely difficult because of the fine print - surcharges for weekend appointments (which are obviously the preferred times for people with Monday to Friday jobs), and the expiry date which contradicts itself (valid until March, yet the staff would not book appointments for dates past the 21st of Feb, despite calling well in advance). Perhaps the time frame for bookings should have been extended to accommodate all the voucher holders! I had a terrible enough experience with Detoxologie before I even stepped foot on the premises! I believe demanding a refund of my voucher would be a futile exercise, but some acknowledgement of the company's ineptitude would have been a nice consolation. Rest assured I will not be passing good words on about Detoxologie! read more

Patricia R I have just come from a lovely, relaxing, one hour full body rose massage at detoxologie. My daughter purchased a Cudo gift voucher to give me this massage. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about what it would be like. It was a good experience with a caring masseuse and I thoroughly enjoyed it. read more

This is the most rude and incompetent salon I have ever visited. I tried to book over the phone and I was required to pay a $20 surcharge for the privilege of having a Saturday appointment. Because their system is so antiquated, putting through a credit card transaction at the same time a fax came through took several tries. The woman was adamant there was an issue with my card and made me call the bank. The bank verified it was their system not my card. As I was not allowed to pay the hideously expensive surcharge on the day, this whole booking process back and forthing between the salon on the phone took about half an hour. I then later received a call saying they needed to move my appointment to half an hour later. No 'would you mind...' or 'sorry to do this but...' but a rather forceful declaration that this was to be the case. I forgave this, as English didn't seem to be the caller's first language, but it certainly left an impression of how they speak to their clients. I then turn up to the appointment to be told I was not on the system at all. They said they sent me a text message to confirm the appointment and as I didn't respond they gave my appointment away. I told them of the call I received requesting the time change. Turns out they texted another person with the same name as me on the system after they rang me to confirm the changed time. This unsuspecting person had no idea what appointment they were talking about and said she wasn;t coming. The fact that this texting occurred after a call with me confirming the new time did not twig the clever receptionist's suspicions. Where's the continuity? What idiot rings one phone number an then texts another to get in touch with the same client? How incompetent do you have to be to not manage a simplistic data bases where (surprise, surprise) some women might share the same name? What would a reasonable person working in customer service do when confronted with two conflicting messages from two people with the same name on the database? Wouldn't you double check if you got in contact with the right person? When I finally came to my appointment, I was then told I could wait half an hour and they could try to squeeze me in and then reschedule the second half of the treatment another day. I was not having a bar of this. Only through terse words with the manager was I able to have the whole treatment at the time I scheduled it but it just goes to show that they were willing to let me just wander around while they served other clients that had not yet arrived at the salon before me, not seeking to rectify the issue with me as the top priority. The treatment, to that therapist's credit, was good...up until the point where she just tried to flog me all their products. I am not averse to buying products at a salon but I was on a lot of doctor prescribed skin care that the therapist had not heard of. The fact that a medical schooled dermatologist might have a better handle on what to treat me with than she did, did not deter her from staying 'on message' with her sales pitch. It was a pretty irritating way to end what should have been a very relaxing facial. While the treatments are fine, not amazing but pretty good, this salon's customer service is TERRIBLE. Full stop. Their communication to clients is abrasive and their client management is very, very DISORGANIZED. The whole experience is not worth the hassle; the stress of dealing with the salon will spoil any good experience you might have had here. read more

The owner has always had an attitude problem. She creates and unwelcoming and hostile environment. I had multiple experiences in which one thing was promised and yet a different outcome occurred at the checkout. Disappointing that people still act this way and pursue these business practices. I finally learnt my lesson and have ended my long-term relationship with this business. The treatments provided are inferior and my money and time have been better spent elsewhere. read more

I went there for a body composition scan. Terrible customer service. the lady that conducted the scan was so rude. She kept saying things like 'if something goes wrong, i won't redo the scan'. The consultation was supposed to be 15minutes long, but was only half that time (if even) - and the whole consultation was her just highlighting the results rather than giving extra information. Seems uninformed, unprofessional. Like she just wanted us to GET OUT. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Bought a living social voucher for an NLS BODY SCAN. Was told from the scan I had an intestinal bacterial infection, high cholesterol and was high risk for ovarian cancer. Went to a doctor to have a blood test to see if I had high markers for ovarian cancer and high cholesterol and turns out I don't!! Not even close. What a waste of money and a joke! Did not have a good experience at this business. Spent A LOT of money with NO results. When asking for a partial refund or a complimentary allergy test after trying all other remedies because everything that was recommended/prescribed did not work the answer was to pay full price along with $90 consult to discuss why their prescriptions weren't working, and told "we do not offer miracle fixes" from an IBS related disorder. Very unprofessional & disappointed in misleading treatments and remedies. read more

I had a colonic here. The water pressure was turned up far too high and then I was left in a room on my own. The pain was awful. I started panicking and pressed the buzzer 10 times and no one came - I eventually cried out for help. I asked to be removed from the device and leave straight away. I was treated awfully and no one apologised to me though I did hear the staff talking about me when I left, visibly shaken. I threw up as soon as I left. Please don't go here - it's so dangerous for your bowels to have overly high pressure exerted on them. I've had plenty of colonics before and never been in so much pain or been so humiliated. read more

I would have to agree with the other reviews; the Customer services was very bad. I know of two other people that have gone there and they said the same thing. I was greeted by Fay, the old lady there and her manner was very cold and controlling. She tried to sell us some products without even trying to create any kind of rapport. After I had the session she asked questions assuming that this place was the best in Sydney. But in saying this I found the young girls working there better. Fay definitively needs to improve her attitude with clients before their business "FAYds" away. read more

I truly wish I had better feedback. The customer service was not the best, but even worse was that they double and over charged my credit card. Not just once, but 3 times. Also they don't want to pay back the overcharge. I had to get the bank involved and report them unfortunately. read more

I went last week for a colonic. I have been having colonics for several years so have a good knowledge of what to expect. I would NOT go back to this clinic. The staff member who saw me in and explained things started that day, and could not answer some of my questions. The entire colonic took 25 minutes, they are meant to take 45 mins up to an hour to allow the water to really cleanse your system. I mentioned I had never had such a short colonic and wasn't really happy however they didn't seem concerned. Also when getting dressed etc there was NO soap to wash your hands and NO paper towels - how unhygienic considering! read more

I was given a voucher for two services at Detoxologie in Bondi Junction. Both experiences - a facial and a hot stone massage - were well below par. Unfortunately I found the customer service extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I am unsure how they run the business but the staff all seem to be foreign - maybe the business operates on Working Holiday Visa staff - the level of proffessionalism is below standard and there level of knowledge and skill is very low. I thought the first session may have been a once off but my second visit was worse. The massage for example was completed without any pressure at all, and the hot stone machine was brought in halfway through and hot stones placed on my back only, they didn't use the hot stones to massage whichg I thought was odd. I didn't complain but when asked how the massage was at the front desk I simply said it wasn't what I expected. The girl who massaged me argued with me and then walked away stating 'I think you had a great experiece' and slammed the treatment door. The manager just looked at me, no apology ant all. It was rude and basically ensured I would never return. I did feel that both experiences were just a waste of my time - I certainly would not recomend this place and feel they have a budget product and are employing low skilled staff. read more

Detoxologie is the WORST company ever to market a product on the internet. Not only do their products not work, but they have liars for customer service people. I have called 3 different times and was told my account would be credited. I AM STILL WAITING for those liars to live up to their so called 100% money back guarantee, and return my money. Great example of how not to run a business. The customer service here is appalling, I've been here on multiple occasions and I love the treatment but the rigmarole in scheduling an appointment has been ridiculous. If you send an email, you get multiple replies conflicting each other, recently I called to confirm as I had 3 different conflicting emails and they confirmed what wanted then on the day I just double checked they confirmed again and then to my disappointment they called back to say there was a conflict. When I expressed my frustration they said they said it was a technical issue and they would escalate to management and when I asked to speak directly to manager claimed they were it. The "manager" spoke to me in a sarcastic tone and replied as though I was an idiot. I will not go there again and I recommend you don't either. read more

I went with Groupon voucher to Detoxologie. When I realised they use a system called a closed system where you are left unattended to "do it yourself" colon hydrotherapy I panicked and said I wasn't keen and would lose the $49 coupon and go home. I should have done that! I was recomended to come back later when I wasn't rushing to another appt. I thought it was v kind of the staff to allow this so I came back and someone new "looked after" me. Let's call her Gaye. Gaye is a total phoney. She looked into my eyes and said I was anxious - she could tell as she does iridology - Wouldn't you be anxious Faye if you were being sold a do it yourself hose-pipe up your bum by a bunch of crooks?! Feeling vulnerable I bought her stories - she looked again after the session and said how much better I looked. Then asked if I was on the pill? Said she could see it in my eyes... If I'd said no she might have asked if I ever was - I think most women by 37 have been on the pill... and then she could see i had ever had a problem with a leg or a foot.... ahhh yes I have! Again, who hasn't? Anyway I stupidly bought product from her feeling that they had been kind enough to let me come back - I wish they hadn't! They just wanted to sell me stuff and I was trusting. So all was well until the next day when after following instructions not to eat meat, sugar (i didn't know it included fructose) and bubbly drinks, I had taken the probiotics and the hideous tonic she had sold me....I was hit by a wave of nausea in my car! I had to swallow it down or throw up on the passenger seat - whilst driving - not v safe! Then I had incredible pains in my guts and had to lie down so I couldn't work or do anything for the rest of the day. I called Faye and she said it was bc I hadn't cleared out properly and I needed to come in for another session! The other girl I spoke with said it was the coffee I had and that the form told me not to - I double checked and it didn't mention coffee, fruit, dairy or any of the other stuff they mentioned. Then another girl said it was bc I ate an apple, 24 hours later. Needless to say I wasn't going back in there for another session! I come from a medical family and I wanted to ask Dad whether I had perforated my bowel but he would have blasted me for going to such beauty place for a medical procedure, and he would have been right too. Anyway I went to get my money back for the 2 extra colonics I was sold which they did give me - thank god! I did pay for the tonics which were $49. The girl at the desk said I vomited bc of the milk in my coffee... when I told her I have a dairy allergy and drink soy or almond milk she said the soy was "too milky" ahhhh!! They are a bunch of halfwits and I wouldn't go anywhere near there again! Please don't risk it... read more

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! Detoxologie in Bondi is the worst place I've been to in my life. The front desk people are not friendly at all and are just mindless barbies. But I do have to mention that I went there twice and the only help I got from anyone there is my therapist Maria. My car broke down on my way there and when I called in to cancel the appointment they said they will charge me the whole amount. And it wasn't cheap. I was supposed to both a blood analysis and a colon hydrotherapy. So the total amount would have been around $300. I would have understood if they said they will need to charge me for a part of the total payment but the full amount is a bit too much. I think this place is suitable for someone who has a lot of money to spend and is a snob (who won't care about other people) but for an average person like me if I am spending that much money on something I would at least expect some smiling faces and a friendly voice either face-to-face or on the phone. Never go here!!! Its not worth anyone's time and effort. read more

I ended up in hospital after being "treated (treated like dirt more likely)" by these self proclaimed "highly qualified therapists". They are rude and have no clue of what is going on. I had the same treatment 9 times before (obviously somewhere else!) and I never had any problems. They treat people like animals and all they want is money. I'm totally disgusted! When I called to ask for guidance I got angry manger who gave me the wrong advise! The only reason why I initially booked in was because the website was misleading/convincing and seemed professional... I learnt the hard way unfortunately. I bought one of the vouchers to use for a 3hr package which included a caviar facial, a foot rub and hot stone massage. During my facial the therapist told me she had to step out to get my mask (why wasn't she already prepared?) and left me lying there for twenty minutes. Then she came in and put my mask and I was thinking, finally I'm going to get a nice shoulder, head, face massage but she left AGAIN for another thirty minutes or so. After the therapist returned she removed the mask and told me that I would get my shiatsu foot massage via a machine. It's was all highly disappointing to me as there was no skin contact and I was left to sit in the hallway with my feet over a massage machine to complete my treatment. Completely unsatisfied I was then told that I could return for my hot stone massage another time. I asked if I needed to rebook then and there and pay extra and was told no, that they would organise it all when I called to rebook. This did not happen and I was blamed for the misunderstanding, being told I was the one in the wrong. After attempting to come to some resolution I was told that they would call me back and that didn't happen. Overall an unbelievably bad experience, with extremely unprofessional behaviour. Will never return here again! read more

If you ever go to see this "practitioner" (Fay) I would ask them to see some valid qualificiations before going ahead with your appointment. Better still just don't go at all. She claims to be a naturoapth/herbalist but I seriously doubt that that is the case. I ended up going to see another naturopath that helped me out and they laughed at what I had been told/given. She is very rude and quick to take all of your money. If you think you can get a refund for your voucher then think again. It's like getting blood from a stone. She is a shrewd business operator. (Businesses that use vouchers to get customers always make me very suspicious). I also had a colonic irrigation at DETOXologie and asked the young operator what qualifications she had to be doing that job. She said that the owner just showed her what to do....what the!!?? There are alot of colonic places around run by experienced people. Go elsewhere and pay the extra money for professional service, they know what they are doing. Buyer beware and go elsewhere. read more

I got a voucher from a friend and instead of a lovely relaxing experience of getting a massage and facial I got a whole lot of bitchiness and awful service. I tried to book an appointment on their system with the voucher for over three months - their website wouldn't work, system would be down, phones wouldn't work or wouldn't be attended, no appointments available etc etc. Finally, I managed to book an appointment over the phone. I was notified that I will be charged an extra $20 for booking apppointment on the weekend. When I arrived I couldn't find parking as all street parking around was limited to 1/2 hour so I called reception to ask if they knew where I could park. The bitchy, horrendous receptionist informed me that they have parking but they will charge me $10 per hour (which means I would have to pay $50 on top of my $50 gift that I received, that would be including the $20 surcharge + $30 for parking as appointment is over 2 hours). When I asked if she knew any other options she told me to go park at Centennial park. Her tone and they way she spoke to me were dismissive and snobby, basically implying that if I couldn't afford to pay for parking I shouldn't be visiting their "prestige establishment". When I got there she greeted me in the same bitchy and dismissive manner, gave me some forms to fill out and then informed me with a smile on her face (!) that my voucher is expired! I was shocked, clearly I didn't use the voucher and my friend certainly wouldn't have given me an expired voucher. She demanded I leave a credit card as a holding deposit and then condescendingly started explaining to me what a holding deposit is in case I didn't understand. She said she will call Groupon to find out why the voucher is coming up as used while I have my treatment. I explained that it must have been some glitch on their system and while I was trying to book it on their faulty website it could have voided the voucher. She wouldn't have any of it and still demanded my card. Another option she gave me is to sit there and wait while she gets information which would eat into my appointment time. So reluctantly I went to the stupid massage after giving her my card. Needless to say I was not relaxed. The girl who was doing the massage was lovely but her massage skills were just terrible. She was stroking me gently rather than massaging me, that was NOT a massage, it was a joke. The facial was ok. When I came out the bitch at reception said she sorted things out with the voucher and I just left. STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE! read more

I have been having hydrotherapy at Detoxologie semi-regularly for the last year. Started just after a close friend died of bowel cancer. Decided it was time to look after my internal health. Went again today after having had a colonoscopy last week, which I explained to the staff over the phone, and they were understanding and knowledgable in terms of the best timing for my colonic and its benefits post procedure. At the risk of over sharing.... It does seem to have cleared a lot of residue!! have come home feeling SO much lighter! I find hydrotherapy really effective for my long term bowel problems - bloating and constipation.Especially combined with regular probiotics. It has also helped me with weight loss. In my experience the staff are always very friendly and helpful and ready for a chat and a joke and to pass on advice. Lets face it- a sense of humour about the body and its less talked about functions is essential! Add to that, the clinic is always kept spotlessly clean and they don't push too hard for products or return visits. Once you know the ropes its very easy and efficient. There are no further forms etc... Highly recommended read more

Best colon hydrotherapy clinic in Sydney. Definitely the most professional and well informed staff. They have full time cleaners that sterilize the door handles. Every catheter is opened in front of you to show how medical sterile they are. Been to a few of the other centres and they just wash their catheter and seem to reuse them. These guys are so well trained and ensure that every part of the machine is sterile. Great job guys. Highly recommend. read more

Though I read a few disappointing things about the centre I thought I would give it a go. I had to say it was an amazing. The time I arrived in the door it was a lovely, serine experience. Had a beautiful gold facial with a greta hot stone massage. The ladies were fantastic and internationally trained. I loved the whole experience and have booked in for another pamper package. So I had a 10 out of 10 experience. Next is to try the colonic next week. read more
