I've now been swimming at The Swimstitute on Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova for about seven years,…read moreand it continues to be an excellent facility for serious swimmers. This is a private, membership-based pool with an 8-lane, 25-meter setup. The water temperature and quality are consistently perfect, which makes every swim enjoyable. The facility is well-maintained and clean. The pool itself is spotless, the lockers were recently upgraded, and the shower area is always kept in great condition. It's clear that they prioritize upkeep, which I really appreciate. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. That said, this is very much a swimmer's pool--designed for lap swimming and training rather than recreational use or family playtime. While they do have some equipment available for use, most swimmers bring their own gear. One of my favorite aspects is how uncrowded it is when I go early in the morning. I usually get a lane to myself, which is such a luxury compared to other pools. The membership fees are very reasonable for what you get--especially considering the quality of the facilities and the experience. If you're looking for a pool geared toward training or serious lap swimming, I highly recommend The Swimstitute. It's not designed for wading or casual recreation, but if you're a swimmer, this place is perfect!

I had a not-so-great experience and decided to take my business to the Swimstitute instead. I started out with buy a block of swim passes, just to make sure I liked it. Due to my work schedule at the time, I'd end up going in the afternoons when all the kids had their swim classes. That wasn't ideal for me so when it came time to take the step to a monthly pass, I opted not to. The value just wasn't there and I felt like the pool wasn't maintained as well as 24 hour fitness'.

I honestly wasn't certain if I'd want to finish out the lessons since it was stressful to prep the kids for something and have to change it. After some back and forth with the company, we decided to get matched with another instructor. Their team rematched us with Devyn, and she has been great! She's timely and friendly and so patient with our toddlers. I am so glad we've continued with the lessons, since the kids are getting so much out of them. Thanks so much to Devyn!

You could tell he genuinely enjoys working with them, and they responded so well to his teaching style. What really impressed me was how quickly the kids progressed under his guidance. If you're looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable but also kind, supportive, and fun--Josh is your guy. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to help their kids become confident swimmers!

She walks us through each activity and explains why we're doing it, which has helped both of us feel confident in the water. When we first started, my daughter had zero water experience. Now she's begging to go into the pool with a huge smile and never wants to leave. She asks all the time when we can go back. Watching her progress has been amazing, and I'm so grateful for the positive environment Little Whale provides. I hope her love for swimming continues to grow.

This is LONG Overdue review of Coach Bella!…read more Coach Bella taught our oldest to swim (from 2.5-5!) ... once you have Coach Bella, there is no going back. She make swim fun and challenging all at the same time. Her patience is second to none! We followed her around as our oldest leveled up. Now - we have a 3yo who is terrified of the water. She finally became unafraid and stated swimming on her own with Coach Allison's help! Coach Allison gave her some incredible ques to learn how to look down while swimming and how to "dive" in properly. Shout out to Coach Allison! When our 3yo transferred to her level 2 class.... She regressed.... Then Coach Bella came to the rescue! The way our girl swam in her first class with Bella, you would have never known that She was hysterical in the parking lot and refused to go in. No tears were shed and she had fun! Bella and Allison are incredible coaches!

The lady at the entrance was nice when we paid to get in. They have plenty of spaces for you to settle with plenty of lawn chairs to take. The only downside is you have to get one from a pile and drag it to your spot yourself. There are nice shady areas on the grass or even the shady area by the concrete. There are a few tables with umbrellas by the kitty pool which have a few structures that squirt out water making it a fun experience for toddlers. The lifeguards are teens who I will admit are socially awkward. I mentioned "lifeguarding here was my first job, it's nice to come back and enjoy the pool" to which she awkward replied "ok..." I never spoke to another lifeguard after that. I'd also suggest they learn basic social cues. I get when you tell "no running" to kids for safety reasons but if it's a toddler who doesn't understand and the parent is chasing them to prevent them from jumping in... don't proceed to say "WALK SWEETIE! WALK! NO RUNNING!" to the toddler because they obviously don't understand. Also the parent doesn't care what you say, they will run to safe their child from drowning. Overall enjoyable, just minus one star because of the awkward lifeguards.

So I was a tad nervous my older son would be in a class with younger kids. Sea Turtles Class was a perfect class for my 9yr old.
