We had some oxidation build up on our RV and had seen some video content on instagram about Detail Garage Escondido. We went into the shop today and was warmly greeted by Andrew. Honestly in this new age of no customer service, it was so great to meet Andrew. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. We purchased the products he recommended and the tools we would need. The products easily removed all the oxidation and buffed the paint back to its glossy finish. My husband had a quick question after starting so he called Andrew. Once again he was so helpful and answered all my husband's questions. I highly recommend this business for anything you need for your vehicle detailing. read more

The driveways from W Mission Ave you have to be careful of. You'll have to angle your vehicle If your low. The parking is shared with other businesses. The size of the spots are normal. The two workers there when we came in were friendly and knowledgeable. I could only remember one of them being Brian or Bryan. I believe he owned a blue WRX. Both these guys took their time to explain all the products, what they did, the steps to detail and recommendations with demonstrations. These guys had great attitude and charisma about work. There are plenty of products to choose from, the 16oz bottles and the 1 gallon jugs. For the money if you have experience with these products I would recommend getting the 1 gallon jugs and do the proper ratio adjustments with distilled water. They also have hand outs and will do demonstrations on how to use the product on your car. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. I'll be back to get more supplies as soon as I'm done with this first batch. read more

Don't even know where to start with this review. I've spent THOUSANDS through chemical guys before talking to a rep from this location that promised me "cheaper prices or better than kits online" so I started making my purchases through this location. After over $500 in purchase in just a week or two and being screwed over multiple times let me tell you my experience! I spent almost $300 a week or so ago on a ton of stuff and had issues with multiple products I purchased. I purchased the "waterless wash kit" only to find out the "Mr. sprayer" had been USED and was full of dirt and crap from a "new product" and RESEALED (pictures included). After bringing this to their attention they just talked about if something is sealed they don't look at it - great I can buy something and use it, then return it with a single piece of tape and say it's new and they resell it! My problems went on from there. That same visit I bought a gallon on their ceramic detail wash and the lid was barely on, it dripped several inches were missing but when I went back they said they don't seal the gallon jugs so people can just come and steal what they want. All of these things annoyed me but they were things I could deal with or handle, until recently. I went back, 5/8/21 at around 12pm, and against my better judgement spent almost $200 because I wanted to detail a family members car for Mother's Day and needed a few extra thing. They did their normal jig about selling me as much as possible while telling me the issues I had were normal and not to worry. Sure enough one of the package of towels I bought is missing some of the towels. I contacted this location as soon as I realized and explained the situation. I got transferred to the " manager" who told me essentially that I was lying and that they count every towel so I have to be lying. REALLY!? I've spent thousands with chemical guys and lying over a $13.99 pack of towels?!?!? Never been told I'm lying as much as this owner told me. Never again will I shop with you. read more

*Update* So my last review was back on 7/11/2020 and was . It's been over a year and WOW!!!!! I LOVE THE NEW CREW!!!! Extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Steve was a great help! I'm so glad my main detail spot has an AMAZING CREW AGAIN! Recently went in and purchased a gallon of my go to Eco Wash concentrated. The community that I live in has strict HOA rules one being I can't wash my car via hose or bucket. I've been using Eco Smart Wash for along time and it's amazing! Believe it or not, my first gallon lasted me 2 years, and I wash my car every weekend. I could go on and on about other products but I just wanted to give the new crew a shout out! This was my first time stopping in here, and I was impressed at how friendly both of the staff were to me upon arrival. Overall, the entire showroom was super clean and well organized, I was greeted upon walking in, and asked if I had any questions. After browsing a bit, again I was asked if I had any questions which I did, they were very thorough in their assistance with me, making recommendations based on my actual need versus trying to up sell me just to move more product. Overall I felt they were 100% helping me choose what they felt would work best for me instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive product. This place was fully stocked with any and all items one might need to detail anything! I would highly recommend them for any and all washing/detailing needs you may have. read more

We picked up Citrus wash and gloss, black on black instant shine, total interior cleaner, tire kicker extra glossy tire shine. Got to work as soon as we got home, wife's truck looks great. The prices for these items we purchased ranged from $7.99 to $12.99. I would recommend Detail Garage to everyone. I'm writing this proofread review from earlier today which hastily typed on my iPhone during my lunch break and I don't know how to make changes on a previously typed review on Yelp. Hopefully this edited version is what is read. Chemical Guys in Escondido, CA Detailing Class, February 20, 2021 Instructor: Diego Diego was our detailing instructor, but he had a few store employees help and take the class. I thought that was good because we had an instructor with lots of experience teaching us and a few who know enough from already starting this trade and in addition, knowing the store products which help us achieve the shine we're all trying to achieve on a car. The day started with the products and tools all setup nicely in the order we were going to use them on the two cars for us to work on. One was a car that initially I didn't care for since it looked awful and had lots of oxidation. The other car, a Mercedes Benz looked great from far away, but close up showed lots of swirl marks everywhere.from being cleaned from carwashes. I'm happy for these two examples since oxidation on cars is what I'll be dealing with a lot and also luxury vehicles. A nice car that I'd love to work on but initially would have been intimidated from, in the end I feel confident handling an either car. Diego was friendly upon meeting and made us comfortable with the breakfast and lunch and encouraged us to ask any question. I came to the class wanting to know how to take care of my car with skills of a detailer, but afraid to even wash my own car because of possibly introducing swirl marks and damaging the paint. Diego's easy going personality and clear way of explaining the stages of detailing easy to understand and do, we shouldn't fear the process. With him occasionally and timely interjecting tips and a helping during the process, we were able to make a few "minor mistakes" and he showed us how to not do that anymore while showing how to correct ourselves. Being in a good size group setting allowed me to see how others did the same thing or slightly different and do well at the end with Diego's help and occasionally that of his helpers. We all did a very good job in transforming two cars with bad paint finishes to cars that could've just been out of a dealership, I think I even forgot how bad they started out. Good thing I took a picture for reference. We were all in disbelief on the final product. Working in the group setting while still trying the new skills has empowered me to now have a month and a half of scheduled detailing jobs starting this Saturdayand I'm still going through more people to call. Diego thanks to you, your assistance and a store which provides all the goodies to detail any vehicle. Chemical Guys is now my new favorite toy store and the detailing class was invaluable to me! For anyone wanting to start their own detailing business or just know how to apply the skills of a detailer on their own or friends/family cars, I absolutely would recommend this detailing class and hopefully they'll get Diego as their instructor. Staff was arrogant and was clearly a sleazy salesman. Made me feel dumb and then tried to sell me stuff I did not need. I bought their foam gun, which leaks out of the bottom of the nozzle and the Wooly Mammoth microfiber towel. The employee told me the Wooly Mammoth can dry up to 3 cars . Proceeded to try out the Wooly Mammoth and as soon as I take It out of the package little fuzz starts flying out everywhere. Products are not great, staff is not great. I really don't understand the hype about this place, Turtle Wax products from Walmart are better quality. read more

I came in here on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. My first visit was to buy a few things I thought I might need for a wash (bucket, dirt trap, and towels). I came in and was greeted, the guy (Xavier) was friendly and let me know that I could ask him any questions I had. Before even coming in here, I thought that I was going to be pushed into buying something, but that was not the case at all. He simply asked if I needed help with anything and answered my questions when they came up later on. I came back on the next day to return the towels and dirt trap because I figured I could probably go on without them. I was in and out in just a couple of minutes. The service here was great because they did not pressure me into buying anything I was not looking for, and they answered the questions I had.
