I've been here three years ago. The maintenance of the housing is terrible. There was spiders and cockroaches. Some of the staff barely know what there doing. One clinician was good who is Despina. The groups are decent. They are strict when you first come in read more

This rehab is a dangerous environment. Uneducated and unceritified therapist. The housing is inadequate with no real supervision. Worst of all Is the attitude from management. It's a fake business and defiantly operating illegally or on the fringes of guidelines. The techs are sub par. Most can not answer even the simplest of basic questions. Would say that the average tech has an IQ of about 80. If you care about safety, do not go. read more

Very poor communication among the different parts of the organization. There are way too many patients per staff. There are better alternatives. Beachcomber is smaller and more professional. Destination Hope is very unimaginative and uninspiring. It may work for some, but for me, they were really boring and amateurish. read more

Run do not walk, from this place. They are all about the money and care not one iota about anyone's well being. Do a little research, and make an educated decision as where to go, or take a loved one. If you do due diligence, you will avoid a truly horrible experience. read more

Amazing staff, nurses, techs, chef, bus drivers, CASE MANAGERS (Missy) Wow wow wow I cannot say more than enough about how this facility changed my life and helped me through a really difficult time in my life. The doctors here are amazing. I had so much fun here we all really did. I love you guys so much if you're reading this read more

If I could give this facility a 0 rating I would! This is about the worst place I have ever been to! The pictures are not accurate pictures of what the mental health facility looks like. It was moldy in the bathrooms. Dirt everywhere inside. The rooms are gross and I have heard many rumors of people having sex here. Also a doctor tried giving me medicine without even telling me why. I did give them a day or 2 but after that I was done! I had called my parents to come and get me but since I lived in Ohio they couldn't come get me in Florida. The people at destination hope were not going to let me leave. They had also taken my phone and my credit card and $40 and were not going to give them back. Thankfully I got out of that disgusting living place. I am dealing with ptsd cause of this place. Do not go here ever!!! read more

Be careful! I have a friend who was transferred to Destination Hope a few weeks ago from a nearby facility (Beachway), saying they recommended Destination Hope to be better equipped for her issues. She was at Destination Hope for less than a day before they Baker Acted her, putting her in the local hospital. They wouldn't take her back upon her release from the hospital, which is fine. The problem, however, is that they have KEPT the $17,500 that was given to them upfront for care for 1 month, and they are giving me the run-around about returning any funds. I have made at least 3 dozen phone calls, 2 dozen of which they hang up on your or leave you on hold or disconnect you. The multiple messages I've left for Amanda or Cindy (the CFO) are not being returned. It looks like our next move is to get a lawyer involved. read more

They don't pay their professional services invoices. I have contracted services with them and they don't honor their commitment. They just change to a new provider. I assisted in opening the facility for them and serviced them for a year without issue. They just cancelled my contract without explanation, that OK, but pay me what they owe my company. Services rendered but no payment. Deadbeats! Providers Beware. read more

This place is terrible I went through 5 psychiatry asst in 3 counselors in a 7 week. The shop is terrible the beds are on comforter ball and the staff is nasty do not waste your money I ended up in the hospital for 7 days because no one was managing my medications The only reason I gave it a one star rating is because I could not give at -1000 read more

I was there for 1 day. Worst experience ever. They hacked my bank account and 2 credit cards. Management will not call back. They didn't give me several of my items back, and pretty much shoved me out the door because I checked myself out!!! read more

Do not go here. My daughter spent 2 months here. I finally got her out. She has been home 2 weeks. I have never seen her so bad. They just milk your insurance. They monitor your mail and your 1 phone call a week. Family night do not do. It was a ritual with the family as the main attraction. You sit in the middle with a candle and you get torn to bits. Then the whole group tells you how it makes them feel. It is like a cult. My daughter is so fragile. She can't make it thru a day. read more

Destination hope left my son at the Fort Lauderdale airport yesterday with no money no ticket and no phone, telling him he did have a ticket to another program in Arizona on discharge. Fortunately I had local resources who could assist with the situation as I live out of state. They seemed unable to address his needs on most levels while he was there. Would not recommend. read more

I found destination hope to be a wonderful facility that I would recommend to anyone seeking treatment, I found the staff to be courteous and very helpful to me in my recovery process.. although my stay was cut short due to insurance reasons I wish I could have stayed longer. Destination hope I sincerely thank you for helping me in my time of need. read more

Bad place to work, they reduced the wages to the workers to 35% and the housekeepers lowered it to the minimum wage, they do not care about the welfare of their workers, they are few professionals, I do not recommend this place to work to anyone. read more

BEWARE....It is totally a "Bait and Switch" facility!! PLEASE do not sign ANYTHING without reading. Because I would not sign to a cost of $51K, they asked me to leave. It is ABSOLUTELY nothing about Recovery but Insurance Fraud. The pictures you see on the website does not exist. Both of their Women's facilities are infested with Roaches! The therapist's are interns, and in one week I was there, no one facilitated any groups!! I am in touch with the Attorney General in Florida and they said they are actively investigating this HORRIBLE facility. My name is Kathy Elliott...I came in on July 14th and left on July 25th. I am entering an Amazing Facility back in Atlanta and I am filing a Lawsuit...PLEASE do your "Due Dillegence"!!!! read more

Don't send anyone here or let them get transferred here! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I originally flew down from Chicago and placed my daughter in Beach House Recovery Center. Beware! Within two days, they said she should be transferred to Sylvia Brafman. Didn't know where she was as it is called that and Destination Hope also. Not what we flew down for. Alysa, the case manager, is very responsive. My daughter's therapist, Brandy, on the other hand is an absolute tool. She has stonewalled my daughter from transferring to another facility that would better suit her needs. I am now sitting at a hotel and plan on getting her out tomorrow morning. If they do not release her and give me all her things, I will call the police. They told my daughter that they hold their phones for 48 hours (after they let them out on the street? Sounds like a good policy). My daughter says this place is a joke. The therapy is laughable as I can attest to because we had two family sessions and I had to ask if her counselor was there because she said nothing. She has been offered drugs in the housing. Her life is in the balance and she wants to go to a facility that does brain mapping and neurofeedback.....they don't offer this. Brandy told me point blank that she does not approve and if she wants to leave, then she will be put out on the street! That IS NOT SAFE. The new facility needed to talk to either my daughter or her current facility for a pre assessment. Brandy would not let her do the ore-assessment, nor would she call the new facility herself. So they're basically holding her hostage and that will be more trauma to process I'm sure. After this rediculous exchange, I then called to talk to the clinical director and was told she was in a meeting and she/he??????? Never called me back. So I had to get on a flight. My daughter has no idea I'm even here because I can't get a hold of her and no one is returning my calls. Did I mention, my daughter signed a full disclosure for me? A grievance is being filed with BCBS before I got on my plane. What they are doing is illegal. Check out body brokering. There is a federal lawsuit pending in Florida. Be careful. read more
