Desigual, the Spanish label, opened a shop in the Arnotts in Jervis Centre around two months ago. I only became aware of it yesterday having never heard of the fashion house beforehand.
Let me just say that I'm now a big fan. The clothes are refreshingly vibrant. Some items look like neo-expressionist paintings. The clothes have drawings, scribbles and what looks like graffiti on them. The amount of colours and patterns that are splashed across one dress or skirt or handbag. Wowee!
Because the clothing is made by a Spanish designer, a lot of the items seem appropriate for a warmer climate than the one in Ireland. There are several long cotton summer dresses and halter tops. If you're going on holiday to somewhere exotic, Desigual is the perfect place to shop for new clothes.
Prices aren't too bad either. I got a beautiful beach bag for 17 Euros. It was 30% off. Scarves go for around 30 Euro and dresses hit the 70 Euro mark. read more
