I ordered a sign and was eager to move forward with an invoice, but was repeatedly ghosted by the salesman, Dennis. I last heard from him on January 22. After that, I followed up again on February 6 and February 10 with no response at all. He didn't reply until February 17. In hindsight, I should have gone with another company, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After a lot of pushing, they managed to install the sign by my deadline, though it was concerning that they even suggested it might not happen--especially given their lack of communication. On top of this, there was a contract with a clear payment schedule that Omaha Neon completely disregarded. Even if I had wanted to pay the final balance according to the dates outlined in the contract, I couldn't because I was never provided the final total. I was placed on a payment plan as a new business, and the first few payments went smoothly. The last invoice I received was on April 17. After that, months passed without any final invoice, which I found strange. On June 10, I emailed their accountant, Mary, to confirm my final balance (including permits, tax, etc.). She replied on June 11 that my account was paid in full. I even asked if I would be sent a final invoice but received no response. Then, for five months--from June to September--there was complete silence. Suddenly, on September 8, I was contacted and told I still owed a final payment. When I explained my conversation with Mary, Dennis blatantly lied, claiming I had been sent additional invoices (which I had never received) and even saying I never should have been given a payment plan. When I expressed my concerns to Dennis, he dismissively said, "I feel like you are looking to find a reason or find some sort of excuse for me to give you an additional discount." At no point did they take any accountability for their mistakes, lack of communication, or poor organization. It was dismissive, confrontational, and the most unprofessional, disrespectful business interaction I've ever experienced. Between the ignored contract, poor communication, blatant lying, lack of accountability, and disorganization, I cannot recommend Omaha Neon to anyone.
