I previously had my nails done at this salon and was unhappy with the results. Gel X - they was…read morebumpy, had ridges, caked underneath, two didn't have a top coat & was cracking and popping off within 3 days.. The manager/owner was the one who offered to fix them. I didn't get a chance to go back, due to work & life. Despite that experience, I was still willing to consider giving this salon another chance. Tonight, I messaged the woman who runs the front counter simply to ask if they had any openings tomorrow. That's it. I asked what availability they had because I wanted to see what worked with MY schedule. Instead of simply telling me what times were available, she told me she had already booked me for 12:30 without even asking if that time worked for me. When I questioned it, the conversation became unnecessarily confusing instead of her simply understanding what I was asking. She also got an attitude which resulted in me getting one as well. I ultimately ended up apologizing after everything was said bc maybe she was stressed ? Idk. A simple "We have 12:30 available. Would that work for you?" would have solved the entire problem. After my previous experience, I was already hesitant about returning. This interaction only reinforced my concerns. I shouldn't have to go back and forth over something as simple as asking what appointment times are available. At this point, they've lost my business before I even made it back through the door. You can be great at running a business, but if you can't communicate respectfully with the people who support it, that business will eventually feel the consequences. ALSO I'm not the ONLY one who has left with jacked up nails within the past month. My personal opinion to the OWNER, find new nail techs & find a new person to work behind the counter.. giving a free drink here and there and a snack does not make up for the unprofessionalism.. and maybe find another way to communicate with your nail tech .. the woman behind the counter couldn't even use the translator on her phone, correct!!

I explained to her that I need somebody who's proficient in cutting short hair, and she quickly fit me in her schedule. I felt at ease almost immediately. She asked me what I was looking for, I shared with her the picture and she immediately told me what products she was going to be using. She explained every step of the highlights and checked in with me regularly to make sure that this is what I have envisioned. While I was waiting for my highlights, I also overheard other hair stylists in the salon communicating with clients in the same manner. I appreciated the detailed explanations and overall friendly attitude. I was looking for a white highlights with cool tones. It turned out exactly how I was hoping. The haircut was also excellent. I've had so many stylists who are not comfortable with cutting short hair, but with Miranda I felt I was in the hands of a professional. I would highly recommend her salon to anybody. And, of course, I will be back.
