I went ahead and called Designer gutter and had them do the work on May 16, 2025. The service provider explained why they have to charge $275 or more to repair, whether big or small. Their liability coverage is expensive due to the fact they have to climb a ladder and sometimes go on a roof, for each call. They did repair the gutter perfectly and inspected the connections to the fascia for drips that I had noticed. They were able to tell me it was the failure of the roof tape (flat aluminum type). After speaking with Linda, we scheduled my appointment to have gutters inspected and cleaned. I also asked for information regarding screening for gutters. Mike came and inspected all parts of gutters from the roof. This is an honest company. They don't try to push any decisions on you. Mike explained very clearly the different types of screening. I selected the screening. I requested this be completed as soon as possible. They came the following Friday, cleaned all gutters and down drains, and installed the screening. They were great on the phone, timely follow up, fair price, and had a wide selection of color choices for their seamless aluminum gutters. We went with white because it just was the choice we best liked but almost 2 dozen other colors to choose from. Trevor was great enough to provide me with a quote as well as answered any and all of my more detailed questions regarding price breakdown, length of material, quantity and location of downspouts and Miters. Designer Gutter had done our gutters in the past and we needed them to come out and replace a downspout due to some deck work that changed the direction needed of the downspout. Most gutter material is generally maintenance free. The gutters they put on my house show HEAVY staining, rapidly, and are near impossible to clean in 3 years. It (seems) that they use a very porous material that causes the accumulation of dirt and stains. Forget about pressure washing them, won't work a bit. Short of climbing a ladder on a 2 story structure and hand wiping with bleach or chemical repeatedly, you'll be stuck with it bad stains. I called them to come out and check it to see if this was a warranty issue/failure and they decline to even inspect it (WOW). They gave me the number to the metal manufacture to pass the buck. If this is the performance you want on your nice house, then great. If I had it to do again, knowing what I know now, they would not have done my house. What ever coating they are using on their gutters, is not holding up and is not possible to reasonably maintain. I have owned, and still own, many houses with white gutters. I have never seen material performance this poor, and for them not to coming out to at least inspect it says it all. Pay attention to the surface coatings with you new gutter company. It's really is important... Designer Gutter claims the manufactures warranty the products for a number of years, but when you call the manufactures, to discuss issues, they say they have no way of telling if it is their product that Designer used on my house. A company that Trevor gave me, as the manufacture of gutter material on my house, said Designer Gutter had not purchased from them in years. So, bottom line is - unless you get a certificate from Designer Gutter certifying that they used a specific manufacturer, YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY FOR THE MATERIALS. IT'S A JOKE... Additionally, after leaving this same review on Angie's list, Trevor began emailing me angry, profanity laced emails. Really amazing.... **** For clarity, below is their statement, in their Q&A area on their website regarding maintenance: 4. Once I have my gutter and downspouts installed, are they basically maintenance free? I would say for the most part, yes they are, except, raingutter should be checked for blockages from fallen debris, sealants should be checked for leaks, we recommend that your gutter system should be checked out at a minimum of once a year for proper function. The leafguard and maintenance programs or a scheduled once a year clean out with our company would certainly remedy this problem. read more

They scheduled an install date and came out and did a very professional job installing gutters all the way around my house with downspouts in the exact locations we discussed.
