I was scheduled with Michaela for a Halo face framing type situation and was greeted very kindly by her and everyone else at the front desk. Getting back to hair, Michaela was very personable, funny, nice, and professional. The experience was nice and it feels like you're just chatting with an old friend. They also offer you and I mask type essential oil situation where you can pick different scents. After your hair is done washing you get processed and then you go back to your sitting area. Whoever texted back was kind and provided answers to all questions. I'm allergic to the coating on the hair. I was able to pick up the hair a few days before to wash so my scalp wouldn't be irritated after the braids were done. When I booked my appointment, the service I selected paired me with Linda. I have NEVER been to a braid salon, experienced the level of patience, cleanliness, or got exactly what I wanted like at TRU2U. This was definitely a first! When I arrived, Linda explained that because of my natural hair length, I needed the longer option than I selected when booking. I saw a photo of the ends wavy the night before, so I saved it. I asked Linda if she'd have time to do that for me since my twists would take longer now. She said, "Yes! I have time to do whatever you want. I want you to be happy! This is what I love to do." Although I washed and dryed my hair before arriving? TRU2U is an all service salon, meaning they don't just offer braids they care about the overall health of your hair. So there's an option to have your hair cleaned there in addition to a long list of other hair care services.
