His sister had just been diagnosed with MS and his mother had it and was worried as some of the symtoms he had were signs of MS. He went to several doctor's and Nuerologist's and had MRI's done on his spine and brain, but they all came back clear. Aaron's pain had worsened, and he didn't want to see a typical Chiropractor to crack his back. He researched the internet on the different types of chiropractic care and found Dr. Andrea. After speaking with her over the phone, he had to meet her. My husband had many issues with his back from boxing, car accidents and riding motorcyles. He had what she called "Military Neck" from keeping his chin down for boxing. After seeing Dr. Andrea his pain completely ceased in about 4 months. He went frequently at first, but his adjustments were holding well and he was feeling better so now they are not as frequent. I also began seeing Dr. Andrea while pregnant with my son. I had alot of back pain with that pregnancy and my pelvic was not aligned properly. Her adjustments helped my pain, aches and headaches. All of my children see Dr. Andrea and we LOVE her!! She is VERY knowledgeable in her profession. The thing that really stood out to me were all the testimonials of the patients she's helped with very different health aliments, illnesses and/or pain. She has them lined up in her walls and it's just amazing how Upper Cervial Care can help so many different health issues. Her story on why she began her career in Upper Cervical Care was very touching. As a mother, she works very well with her younger patients. When my son was born, he began seeing her immediately. It helped with his colic and ear infections. Her office is also very kid friendly!! This was very important to my husband and I as we have 6 children and most often we all see her at the same time. She has a diaper changing area with diapers and wipes for those with small babies. She even provides refreshements like tea, water and snacks while you wait. This is very helpful for those with children as sometimes it's not always practical to have snacks on hand. My children ages 2-15 see her every other month and we fully trust Dr. Andrea and her care. When they have had sports injuries and when I've sprained my ankle she has helped adjust those problems areas as well. I can't thank Dr. Andrea enough for the care she has provided my family. Appointments are on time, easy to be seen within a few days and they care about your healing, about you!! Yes you have to change your eating, take supplements and change lifestyle to heal, but I found it easy with their help! However I will not go back. Dr Mark is too glib and borderline rude. He said I am too old for an adjustment. He did the injector thing and the sand paper machine that was it. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. Not a good use of my time or money. On visit #2 The receptionist gave me a sheet of paper and said go to room #3. I had no clue what was going on. She did not smile or offer any explanation as to this procedure. When I paid the first time I was not told there is a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. When I mentioned it to Dr. Mark on the second visit, he said there are signs all over stating the surcharge. No empathy for my missing the notice. Not a welcoming practice. I have been to MANY chiropractors around the country- probably because I am so old. -. This is the worst experience so far. I will not recommend them.

A major perk that sets this office apart from others is being able to check in as needed. You can absolutely set up appointment times, most people do this out of convenience and I highly recommend it. I walk in and check in without an appointment, which can mean that I will wait sometimes, but very rarely do I have to wait. The line is always short when I come in. It is very much in and out, very quick. Very professional! You're not gonna waste your time in this office, waiting. They're very quick, very friendly and very reasonable. These are real people in the community who genuinely want to help you not be in pain. That's another thing that this apart from others it's not just about making money off of you. I've seen over (22) acupuncturists in a variety of US states. I study Traditional Chinese Medicine…read more(TCM) as well. Here are my thoughts: Front desk personnel - polite and efficient. Ambiance - of the waiting room and treatment room - relaxing. Parking - easy and free. Price - $150 is on the higher end given Grand Junction is not a big city (I've paid $155 in Orlando, FL and $159 in Miami for an initial session for example). The follow-up sessions are reasonably priced at half the price. Joseph was my acupuncturist. Polite and well traveled fellow. Excellent listener. Session - meh. Average. Nothing out of the ordinary. The initial consultation was more led by me than him. I was surprised he did not take my pulse until I was on the bed. He did not look at my tongue. The Yellow Emperor's Classic is a foundation TCM text. Tongue and pulse diagnoses are standard practice from what I've read and experienced. Red flag. Another big red flag is that this man practices homeopathy. Highly controversial. Many acupuncturists I've seen have warned me against it. Joseph even claimed that one session is like (10) years of therapy (which I highly doubt - it's not shamanic soul retrieval or inner child/shadow work). Joseph has a diversified healing background. I support that. However, I probably should've walked out after he told me this. As an Asian-American, I do find it unprofessional to ask about ethnicity on the first visit. I give him credit that he asked where I was from then asked about my parents. Most folks ask me, "Where I'm really from or originally from?" and keep pushing. That is called "Othering" and is a intentional or unintentional microaggression to nonwhite Americans. It is ultimately an alienating question. What caught me off guard is that he said I had an exotic look about me. I've never been told that. At first, I thought that was a compliment. Then I looked online with a bunch of Asian and Latina women claiming it is offensive/Othering. "What am I a piece of fruit?" "I am an American too." Again I didn't feel malice from him that I've felt in other parts of the country. Upon reflection, I think it was unintentional. It has to be mentioned as the USA is getting more diverse. The actual session was mediocre: I only received 30 minutes sleeping on the table where I am use to 45 minutes . Most acupuncturists do an hour 15 minutes from my experience. The bar I use for acupuncturists that can put me to sleep on the bed with their needles on the first session. I dozed in and out. I felt disoriented afterwards. That could be a good sign (detoxification). The real bar for me is if I sleep better the night of. I did not notice anything significant. This is important because Joseph himself told me about a breakthrough session where he slept for (30) hours after the session. I did appreciate the Chinese music. Surprisingly, not all acupuncturists use music. Checkout process - simple pay with a card and go. FYI there are several other acupuncturists at this site. I have only worked with Joseph.
