I spoke with Edi Santos (the owner) and Sadie, whom is Cali Green Paint's Interior Design Specialist, about my need for an indoor paint that has low or zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). To my surprise they exclusively use VOC free paints (that are also anti-microbial). After further discussion, I decided to give them a chance...which I'm glad I did. WOW! Well, I had quite a mess on my hands, and Cali Green Paint came through! My electrician made some major drywall cuts in order to put in new recessed lighting in my condo, and I needed a reliable contractor to #1, fix the drywall (which looked absolutely dreadful), and #2 to paint my walls and ceilings so that the place looked like new. Well.....Cali Green Paint came through with flying colors (literally and figuratively)! : ) Not only did they finish on time, but they also left the place super clean when they left. This is long overdue, but I just want to give a huge shout out to Edi, Sadie, and Arturo for making the last leg of my ceiling repair the most pleasant and professional experience I've ever had with a contracting company. A while back, I had a pipe leak in my apartment, which damaged a substantial portion of my bathroom ceiling and also led to mold. After the mold remediation, I called several drywall repair companies but was constantly given the run-around, that is until I got in touch with Edi and Cali Green Paint. Edi was the most courteous, professional, and responsive of them all. After he and Sadie showed up to give me a quote, they quickly brought in Arturo to do the work, and within just a few days, the job was completed and I had a brand new ceiling that looked amazing. These guys did an amazing job on smoothing out a couple ceilings with popcorn. The popcorn was basically petrified due to being painted over some time ago. It was too stiff to remove so they come up with an effective plaster solution that made the ceilings nice and smooth. I also used them to repair a damaged plantation shutter along with removing some wood paneling in a stairwell & replacing with drywall. Overall they did a masterful job for a surprisingly low rate. The guy leading the plastering and painting effort, Edwin, seemed to be a perfectionist. Very professional job! I'll definitely use this guys again. read more

One of the rooms was going to be a nursery for our newborn daughter and we wanted to do something different with the colors. Sadie at Cali Green offered free design services to help us choose which colors would work. She made multiple trips to our place with different colors each time to help us decide. It was exceptional experience from the start. Sadie and Edi did above and beyond of what we were hoped for and surprised us with all their creatives and hard work. Our project was pain from the start. Hitting holiday season along with heavy rain that goes on for days did not made a great start for all of us. You can feel it when people are honest and not out to gouge you. This is the feeling you get when you meet Edi and Sadie. I was having increasingly poor quality control issues with my contractor so I decided to find my own stucco specialist. We were replacing an existing addition to the house in Hawthorne. I found Cali Green Paint through Yelp and I couldn't be more pleased. Sadie came out the following day and walked me through the stucco procedure. She made some suggestions as to improve the esthetic appeal of the existing stucco on the remainder of the house. The improvement was so dramatic that we ended up re-stuccoing the rest of the house in addition to placing new stucco on the addition. Armando did a superb job and even redid a section that he found did not satisfy his quality of work. These people know construction and the correct way of doing things. If I have another project that requires their service, I would call them in an instant. As someone else stated in their review, they had our best interest in mind when they worked on our house. If there were six stars, they would easily get that rating. read more

Cali Green Paint did an outstanding job painting the exterior of our two-story stucco house with Cool Life, an elastomeric coating that is much thicker than paint, reflects heat, is waterproof yet breathable, environmentally friendly, and has a lifetime transferable warranty against cracking, peeling, chipping, or fading. This is more expensive than "regular" paint but hopefully well worth it. (Time will tell.) All pros, no cons with Cali Green Paint; here's why: I give them my highest recommendation - finding home renovation and repair contractors who are (1) honest; (2) communicative and responsive; (3) do high quality work; (4) prompt in following through with what they say/agree to do; (5) very reasonable in price; and (6) super nice people with integrity - truly exceptional! Maybe their company should be called Cali Gold as it's like striking gold finding contractors with these qualities. Cali Green Paint's bid was extremely reasonable (less than half that of the other bids plus offered a Yelp discount) and unlike one company, did not subject us to a lengthy high pressure sales pitch at all. It was a pleasure working with Edi (owner), Sadie (interior designer and project manager extraordinaire), and Rey (head painter and stucco master) and his crew. They were meticulous in all aspects of the job, from prepping, repairing, and painting to follow up and touch ups. They also went above and beyond like removing two gates and fixing an uneven section of the fascia that a previous roof repairman had badly put in, all without additional charge. They also came back twice to install new lights as three of the lights I initially ordered were too big and then too small for the space. They care about the needs of their clients and about the (high) quality of their work. Plus, Cali Green Paint is a veteran owned and operated, environmentally conscious company - icing on the cake. I just built a bar in my house and needed the new mill work painted. I called Cali Green paint and Sadie called me back. We set up a time for her to come in and take a look at the job and give me an estimate. After that they were flexible with a time to come in as i had to reschedule the original date.
