Dr. Rob Irwin at Desert Sage refused to see me because I wasn't vaccinated. This is discrimination. Very sad!

I was trying to get to see another doctor but was then randomly called several months after scheduling my appointment with that doctor to be told that she is not accepting new patients. So I was instead scheduled with Dr. Rodriguez, as she had an immediate opening, so I took it. Check-in was simple and can be done online or in person. For the appointment itself, the doctor was late by about 20 mins. Once she arrived, we discussed my issues, and then she went through a checklist of various tests and things, asking when the last time was when I had those done. She checked a bunch of things off as we went through and then eventually ordered an abdominal ultrasound, blood and urine samples, and provided a referral to a dermatologist and my OBGYN. I did not want referrals for other doctors, so I didn't like that too much. I've already established my OBGYN, and I am not interested in visiting a dermatologist at this time. I wanted to focus on the issue at hand, so I didn't appreciate that part of the visit. Overall, though, she was knowledgeable and was able to put a rush on the tests that were ordered. I think going forward, as long as she is not too pushy with referrals all the time, I'll keep seeing her for the time being.

I lost my only child almost 5 years ago. I struggle falling asleep every night. After trying many medications, Xanax was the only thing that helped me. I was taking a low dosage before bed so I could fall asleep. She refused to give me a prescription for it, but instead referred me to a "sleep study". A sleep study!! I know why I can't fall asleep!! I asked her if she knew the trauma I've been through!!! She said yes, put her hand on my shoulder and asked "do you have other children?" What kind of a doctor says that to a grieving mother? She did not show me any empathy or seem to care for me at all. I will never step foot in that office again. I since have found someone who truly cares about my wellbeing. The star rating was required!!

I told her about a bad experience I had with a urologist about the same problem and let her know that he lied to me. She stated without question: "I will never lie to you" and I believed her. The staff also is so friendly and play with my "service puppy in training" which I find endearing. I have yet to have surgery as the tumor hasn't grown on scans and the hospitals were so full of covid patients I wouldn't want to be hospitalized anyway. My only note is that this practice is not on Tangerine Rd, but right off LaCholla using the main NW Hospital entrance. I will update this review after I have actually "gone under the knife". So far I couldn't be more pleased with all the interactions I have had with Dr Olsen and her staff. So nice to be treated well at a physician's office!!

I knew it would be a big, complicated surgery and Dr Olsen explained everything. The surgery went well but I developed some complications which Dr Olsen had explained might occur. She had to repair the damage caused by infection. Dr Olsen has been amazing as well as her colleagues and staff. She is so caring and admired for her skills. My only complaint is she cannot be my primary care physician.

Dr. Lokale is amazing, but the staff & billing are incompetent. My husband & I called last October…read morewhen switching to Cigna & were assured 3 separate times they would accept our plan. I scheduled for myself in Feb & my daughter in June. Staff told me told to bring her to my appt. I provided my new insurance card & was reassured again at the counter that Dr. Lokale hadn't been loaded into the system yet. 30 days later we received a $700 bill becasue Dr. Lokale is "out of network". They refuse to take any responsiblity in their error & stated that pateints are always told to "check with their carrier before scheduling". No one ever said that and they assured us they were being loaded into the network. Their own website states they handle insurance billing. I wrote a letter to Dr. Lokale explaining why we are having to leave his care, but they refuse to deliver it to him. When I had shingles I called for an appointment , got in 6 weeks later when hey had gone away. Dr. Lokale asked why I didn't come see him sooner and asked if I told the staff I had shingles. I said yes and eve left a message with the PA, he seemed surpirsed. Every appointment takes months to get in to see anyone. Had a growth in my cervic & took 18 months to get an appointment with an OBGYN to read the sonogram report that Dr. Lokale had ordered the year prior. That's how badly it's administered. If your health is important to you, run away from this practice! The doctors are being underserved by their staff.

This office is on Cotaro rd. I was notified that a referral was done incorrectly as well for a surgery so now that's been delayed. Avoid this office. They are too busy gossiping to do their jobs correctly.
