VENDOR BEWARE!! My business purchased a vendor space for the 2026 Lake Havasu City Fair hosted by Desert Canyon Events LLC. The owner, Frank Wills reached out to my business and offered the space to us. Frank stated that in order to reserve our space we would need to pay him $525.00 immediately for the vendor fee, and to confirm our participation in the event. Fast forward to the day of the event, we arrive on site to begin load in. The specific load in times provided by Frank were from 8am-3pm. (These time restrictions were also listed directly on the Desert Canyon Events LLC website.) As we arrive at 2pm, Frank greets us by asking who we are and why we're there. Keep in mind we've spoken with Frank four times by now. (Twice in person, twice over the phone.) We provide our business information and remind him that he booked us for this event, so we're here to load in. Frank then states that we are late, there is no reserved spot for us, and that the fire department has closed all motor vehicle access to the event grounds. This is where he openly commits the fraudulent action. We had exclusively paid a $525.00 vendor fee for a reserved 20x20 vendor space at this event, and when we arrived during the designated set up times, he had us wait for over an hour under the impression that he was going to "find a spot for us." He then actively ignored numerous calls, texts, and any efforts from us requesting an update on the situation. Once we were finally able to speak with him again, he denied us access to the event and denied any refund or solution to the problem. He then stated that it was our fault we didn't "arrive on time" even though we arrived within the designated time frame. We offered numerous solutions to which he had no answer for other than the excuse that we were late and the fire department had closed the area. Since we had just drove over 3 hours from out of state with all of our equipment to be at this event, we wanted to confirm these claims with the fire department inspectors that were still on site. After speaking with the inspectors they confirmed that the area was in fact not closed down as the event wasn't opening to the public for another 2 hours. With this confirmation we confronted Frank again stating that the inspectors confirmed the area is still open, and that we are cleared to bring our equipment in. Frank then openly stated that he didn't care what the fire chief said and that this is his event and whatever he says goes. We expressed our concerns with the way he was handling this situation and how there's actively no reason we are not allowed to bring our equipment in, and how there isn't a reserved space for us. Frank Wills, the owner of Desert Canyon Events LLC blatantly committed an act of fraud and refused to fix his mistakes. There was clearly never a reserved space for my business even though we exclusively paid for one, as Frank had to have us at this event. Although after researching Frank and his company, along with the previous events he's hosted, it seems like this is business as usual for him. It's clear now that he has a reputation for committing fraudulent actions under his business, and taking money from anyone and everyone he can. Desert Canyon Events LLC and, the owner, Frank Wills have yet to be held accountable for their actions and I can only imagine how many people have fallen victim to his scams. read more

The owner is Misogynist. I paid for an event Jingle and Mingle. There was a mixed with setup. I was texted the wrong information. Then called and told I needed to be there in 30 minutes or I could not do the event., because I was considered a no show. Was not possible. Owner refused to give refund. read more

My young son and I went to the Jingle and Mingle event today hosted by this Desert Canyon Events group. We arrived around 2:30 or 3pm and there were no other guests and sellers were putting their things away. The event wasn't supposed to be over until 4pm. We heard yelling coming from a white haired man who I think may have been the manager of the event. Sellers were yelling back saying they paid a lot of money and didn't sell anything. There was quite a bit of cursing going on that my little boy heard. For a Christmas event, this behavior is unacceptable! We will never come to an event by this group again. read more

First of all I never complained on Yelp but I definitely had to this time. We booked this holiday event with Frank and all seemed well and good. Worked a couple months getting ready for this event as it was a big deal for me. First thing we asked is can we bring our RV to stay during the 2 day event and Frank said no problem it is FREE which turned out not to be true so had to pay for that on top of the booth fee. Ok so first day of event we started to wonder where all the customers were, it was so slow. So when we did some research we notice there was not really any advertisement other than all the other events going on in Kingman that day. When we finally got to talk to him he had the nerve to say it was most likely due to the election and economy right now. My husband had to walk away at that point. He said he did alot of advertising by handing out flyers. Not even a sign for event at the door. He was very arrogant and very bossy, denied, denied. Some of the vendors there were all saying the same thing and even customers coming in said they didn't even know about this event. Also turned out one of the other events had the same name, Jingle and Mingle. I am still so devastated as I and all other crafters work very hard to do these events. I paid Frank Wills, the owner/president, for the cost of an event, $5,600.00. This was to cover the cost of the event on a 20x20 space. Paid four months in advance. Two days before the event was to start, I showed up to set up my booth. There is no booth for me. I called Frank; he said I didn't pay him. I sent him a copy of the bank draft. He said he didn't recall the transfer of funds. That's on him, not me. I contact the event director and NO WAY I can get a booth now. I was also told by Jackie, the lady who ran the local event, that DesertCayonEvents.com Has been stealing people's money for the past two years. She has had 8 complaints about payments from different vendors about missing money. When I went to his office, what a joke, it was a mailroom. He shares an office with a pet sitter, some selling mushrooms, a trucking company, and a Dog poop company, I waited in the parking to confront Frank Wills; he acted as if he was the king of the art of bullshit. He said he never had a complaint; he said all those are internet lies. If I had a problem with him or his company, take him to court. read more
