Attend this church just once, and you will be hooked. Very casual, coffee-house style environment. The pastor (Ray Davis) even wears shorts! Pastor Ray and the pastoral staff have a wonderful sense of humor, as well as knowledge and insight of the Bible and are very compassionate and approachable. This church NEVER passes the offering plate, nor preaches sermons asking for more tithes. The offering boxes are drop boxes outside the worship center as well as an option to give online by credit/debit card. They also have a Starbucks type coffee bar immediately to the right when you enter the Worship Center. Prices are reasonable. First time guests receive a FREE beverage with as many flavor shots or extras you want. What I love about this church are the home Bible Studies (called LIFE groups), as well as their Celebrate Recovery program. That's the best way to connect with others in a smaller, more intimate setting, and everyone is so friendly, humble, loving and accepting. They accept you right where you are at. You don't have to change or put on appearances here. If you are looking for a church home, you have found it. read more

Solid Bible teaching with a priority to love God and love others. Three services to choose from: one on Saturday night and two on Sunday mornings. read more

The best church I've ever gone to. Focused on Gods words and biblical focus. So passionate and engaging too!

I have been going to DB Church for approximately 2 months. I have been to many churches in AZ both mega and small. DB church is a Christ focused and biblically focused church and, that so far, feels like a good medium between mega and small. Like most contemporary services it is predominantly music driven and followed by a sermon. The music feels like praise, not showmanship for a rock concert. People have been welcoming and never have I felt stuck, pushed or obligated to do anything. I have not had the chance to join any of the groups but I look forward to doing so. My Children have enjoyed the Children's worship/ Bible school. I would recommended trying this church for yourself. God bless and I hope you are also able to find a place to worship and study to become closer to God. read more

We like Ray personally, however, there are some serious concerns with his doctrine: We cannot sit under his teachings any longer. Any bible believer who understands how to study the bible by Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth will not be able to suffer under these "eisegeses" teachings for long (https://www.gotquestions.org/exegesis-eisegesis.html) "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth; but shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase into more ungodliness". (2 Tim 2:15 kjv) Romans 16:17-18 KJV "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple minded." Be a Berean! Read the word the way is it written; not by what you want it to say. Hope Bible Church Ga Teaching on James https://youtu.be/8PXM96YfOLQ Compared to: Desert Breeze Teaching on the same book: Teaching on Faith in James https://vimeo.com/295059195 I pray for this pastor to see the truth regarding these scriptures. If Ray starts rightly dividing the word of truth we would love to come back and help to grow the true church that was purchased with Christ's Blood for the Body of Christ. "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety nine just persons, which need no repentance" Luke 15:7 KJV read more

Desert Breeze was a decent church. I had gone there as a child and went there a couple times growing up but I really stopped once they gave us homework in the elementary service. I felt like I was coming from school to just do more school as a kid and didn't like it. I held my father's funeral there at 13 and everyone was very kind, some people definitely can't be perfect and I understand that. I do NOT suggest going to this church because of the amount of narcissistic people who go here, people who smoke, ABUSIVE PEOPLE, in general just negative people. There are parents in here who will tell you about their kids SA's, tell you untrue trash shout their child and others and smother you and others in insults. They expect you to be modest and are not friendly to people who are not straight or go by their birth pronounces. They are not racist though, quite friendly and I knew many varietys of familes who went here. As I kid I knew MANY people who we're great and went there, we used to have HUGE parties for Christmas with presents for kids of less fortunate familys like I was given a beautiful porcelain doll that I could dress in different lovely outfits. We had HUGE parties for Halloween and Easter, but eventually it all ended as things got more expensive, I believe or they got more modest. This is not a small church where everyone knows everyone as it was when I was a kid. Now there are so many people who go here, you don't know who is who. The services are awesome though, in the more recent years I've gone I have seen how well they will treat and teach you're kids about God. The adult services are also awesome, as they would throw events at people houses where you would do a service, kid would play and you would get to make friends with other adults and kids. Everyone was always super friendly. I would say to go because there are a handful of nice people BUT the people in this church are modest and I would never go here again because of those bad experiences that happen too, they are about politics and believe in stuff you might not. read more

I attended here for about 6 months a few years back. The church really made an impact on me. I heard some longtime church leader(s) had left the year before I attended. Curious, I questioned Pastor Ray about it but he only said it was over doctrinal issues. So I signed up for a couple classes to learn more about the church's' doctrine. The first class I took ($20) was their beliefs class taught by Lead Pastor Ray. He began by stressing the importance of adopting the 5 key tenants of the philosophy of Christian Hedonism as a foundational belief at their church, I wasn't able to do that. Doesn't Paul warn against adopting other philosophies in Colossians 2:8? I immediately dropped that class and attended their class on Biblical Citizenship. It seemed a tad racist and very politically charged but I thought maybe it was just my perception. The final straw came when they asked for volunteers to remain after class and sign legal affidavits attesting to overturning the stolen presidency and that the church would pay to have them notarized and mailed in. I decided it just wasn't the right church for me so I left. read more

BEWARE OF THIS CHURCH. They claim to be Christian but are far from it. They don't treat you well here and don't follow biblical teachings. read more

I am so blessed by this church family. I have been attending over two years and am so blessed to be led by gospel teaching, God fearing pastors. Wonderful children's ministry and many classes to get involved in. Oh and an awesome coffee shop! read more

Amazing community of people just dedicated to making their community better. Absolutely love the environment here.

I was well received and I loved the sermon each time. The pastor keeps the focus on truth and stands firm on the foundation of the Word of God. If I was staying longer in Phoenix I would definitely consider making this my home. I hope and pray the best for this humble congregation. Keep it up. God bless! read more

I cannot say enough about Desert Breeze Community Church and Pastor Ray Davis. I have known Pastor Ray as a friend since the middle 90's and his transformation in his own life is so relevant to his teachings today. I am in awe of how he inspires us to live life, in spite of what is going on around us, as children of the living GOD. He continues to encourage and teach us about grace, compassion, and how God sees us and how much God loves us. We can live a victorious life no matter what because of what JESUS has done for us and continues to do for us. I crave going to this church because of the family style surroundings and the different age groups from babies to seniors !! We never leave a service without HOPE. I'm so grateful to know Pastor Ray and his beautiful wife, Nancy, as a friend and as my Pastor. Forever Grateful.... read more

Awesome church! The leadership is down to earth and approachable. Casual environment, but a serious focus and commitment to Christ. There are many groups, out reaches, and ministries to get involved in. Very much a fellowship that operates by faith, so much so that they do not pass an offering plate. The ability to score coffee at church is also very cool. read more
