It's free for three hours for disabled badge users (there are designated bays near the exit) but also very cheap for everyone else - 30p for one hour, 60 for four or only £1 all day!

An ideal place to leave your car if you're on a shopping trip to the town as it's just across the…read moreroad from one of the main shopping areas. All on one level, it's very large but can sometimes be difficult to find a space at busy times. Charges (Mon-Sat 9-5pm): 2 hrs 80p 3 hrs £1.30 4 hrs £1.80 24 hrs £3.50 It's free for disabled badge holders in any bay (though there are 11 designated spaces) and free for bikes as well in approved areas only. A season ticket is available. There are no toilets. Within the car park there is a recycling centre for glass, tetrapaks, paper and magazines and is accessible 365 days of the year (unmanned). A funfair takes place in this car park twice a year so (presumably) you will not be able to park there at those times!

Easy to miss though as the others are next to the main road whereas this is nearby but hidden behind some trees. Turn at the traffic lights beside the main car park near the tourist information centre and library and follow the road around into the car park. From here you need to cross the main road at the traffic lights, climb up a steep pathway beside a restaurant, then through a shopping mall on the left (The Willings Passage Mews) to reach the town centre.

It is well signed parking area and easy to find (follow the signs when arriving in Ammanford), and there is a covered walkway to the road. There are lots of parking spaces and one can usually be found even in summer when the town is overrun by tourists. This is an open-air car park on one level with a lot of spaces, practically opposite the other one. It's not far to walk into town from here - just around the corner towards Tesco. Up to 4 hours it's only £2 (between 8.00am and 6.00pm) which is very good these days, and free for disabled badge holders.

A large open air car park at ground level (very close to the town) which is free for disabled badge…read moreusers and not too expensive for everyone else (70p 1st hour, £1.50 up to 3 hours and £3 over that). The tarmac is a bit pitted in places and the car park signs are a bit defaced by grafitti and in general need of repair or replacement. It's an easy car park to find off the main roundabout as you enter the town - just follow signs. We always use this car park as it's so handy for the shops and not far to the promenade and sea front either.
