If he would have looked at it and then said that since I was there for a follow up appointment and there was no charge for it and if he needed to do anything to the place I was wanting to be looked at it would have been better to me because he had said that the place he biopsied probably wasn't anything and he was 98% sure that it wasn't and less than a week later I got a call that it was cancer on the first place so that should have been a sign but I am VERY PLEASED with the Doctor and the entire staff at this office

I was assured that my skin tone, hair texture, and ethnicity would not be an issue and was even told that my dark hair should respond well to the treatment. After completing six sessions, I saw little to no noticeable reduction in hair growth. Throughout the process, it became increasingly apparent that treating women with my skin tone and hair type was not something this business had significant experience with. Despite following the recommended treatment plan and attending multiple appointments, I did not receive the results I was promised. Because I was not seeing any improvement, I canceled my final two appointments. When I called, the receptionist apologized and stated that a manager would contact me. The manager did reach out, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the laser technician to review my progress and treatment history. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never heard back. There was no follow-up, no explanation, no concern for the lack of results, and no effort to address my experience. What disappointed me most was not only the lack of results, but the lack of customer care. Once my concerns were raised, communication completely stopped. It left me feeling as though the focus was on collecting payments rather than ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage women of color, particularly African-American women with coarse hair, to thoroughly research a provider's experience treating diverse skin tones and hair types before committing to a treatment package. My concerns were not taken seriously, my results were nonexistent, and my attempts to seek answers were ultimately ignored.

Took a few days off work to recover. Treatment was very painful and felt as if staff was annoyed that I was uncomfortable and could not relax. Two months later booked a follow up as I saw ZERO results. Dr Rosten actually agreed and suggested I do additional treatments at additional costs and time off work. Unfortunately there isn't an official Yelp page for the 7th St location. Fortunately for me I received a referral from a co-worker to see PA Rudd. I can't begin to tell you how good she is at her job, but i'll try. Initially I was nervous because I had two dermatologist in Charlotte prior, and they both suffered from the same assembly line style rushed consultation and appointments. I would sit there after waiting however long, and when I was finally seen I never felt comfortable or understood. My questions would often go unanswered just from the sheer quickness of the checklist style in and out from the doctor. Ultimately I always felt like I was wasting my time, and money...but on to the good news. Immediately Natasha comes in with open ears, and a world of knowledge. I had several questions, some I tried to answer for myself by doing research. Not just the wbMD quick google search, but a "deep dive". Natasha quickly debunked any and all misinformation I had gotten off the internet, or even through past dermatologist. She presented me with facts, but also several solutions. I can't recommend this location enough. Your time will be maximized, your knowledge of skin care, and how to feel confidence in using the right products at home will grow. Pro tip: Bring your daily routine products with you. Don't rely on influencers, or the vast landscape of the internet to approve your products. Called to have suspicious spot chk'd on my head. (Melanoma history) Took half day from work…read more Arrived on time waited 30 mins then was told they dont take BCBS it would be out of pocket. All they had to do is read insurance on file. But the front desk told me "they would be a no charge today". How bout the half day wages and my time. Billed me for $562 they said it was for my appointment in Feb. At that time they happily took my BCBS card, I paid a co-payment but waited till Jun 27th to bill me this out of network charge. The office manager said on the phone they haven't ever taken BCBS insurance. But they took mine. Wow what a terribly managed office. Billing dept said it had to be recoded at the visiting office the visiting office said it's the billing dept that has to make the change.
