WARNING. Do not come here for PDT treatment. THE WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE…read more I saw Dr Austin in December 2020 for skin cancer removal on my lip, Photodynamic Therapy was discussed as solaraze cream was not working. Dr Austin asked if she could take a photo of my face, I said I didn't really care for it, as I know the whole purpose of this in the "beauty industry" is for the "experts" to start pointing out in detail everything that is wrong. I am 46 year old Australian woman living on the Northern Beaches, my face will have age and sun damage. Dr Austin takes the photo and proceeds to show me all the damage, that she is going to "fix". She tells me almost my whole face has sun damage. I book in for PDT for with Dr Susan Austin. On the day of treatment I see Dr Austin in the morning when the ALA cream is applied to my face and while this is getting done, she proceeds to tell me "Tracey"* will be one actually completing the procedure (light therapy) in the afternoon.. Even though I had waited for a month to be treated by Dr Austin for a medical procedure for my face, on the actual day, once my treatment had already begun I was told "Tracey" would be finishing it. To say it all went WRONG would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. It is now NINE WEEKS after my "treatment", I have been in "urgent care" at Mona Vale hospital suffering burns to my entire face. I have been unable to go outside for work or exercise, I have spent thousands of dollars on medical care and specialists and treatment. Dr Austin gave me my money back but when I asked her to speak with her insurance company who would cover her (you would hope) for instances like mine, I was told by them (thank you Avant) that I could have $500 to settle the case, and not to write any negative public reviews, oh and the reason my face is still burnt, red, and swollen, with burn lumps all over it is because I get cold sores. Nothing to do with my treatment. My "medical certificate" from Dr Austin who wrote "feels like she is unable to work" since getting her face burnt off at my clinic. Has been on heavy antibiotics and steroids since treatment and cannot go outside but she says she "feels' like she hasn't been able to work. *Tracey is a "clinical assistant/receptionist"

Glenrose Beauty Gallery…read more Most girls go to the beautician to feel spoilt, to partake in a luxury experience that focuses on the beauty, rather than the process of beautifying... And so for most girls (and boys!) with these aims in mind, visiting Glenrose Beauty Gallery is the perfect beautician experience. The recently relocated salon is now pink and silver; think Barbie's wet dream in the best possible sense. The collection of magazines (half the reason I go to the beautician, let's be serious) is as up-to-date as is humanely possible; not that it's necessary. In my vast experience with Glenrose Beauty Gallery, I've never had to wait for more than ten minutes. Plus, recent history tells me that you can ring and demand an appointment that very day, and they can usually accomodate you. The services offered by Glenrose Beauty Gallery are extremely comprehensive; in one pink and silver coloured world, you can get waxed, made up, manicured, Botoxed facial-ed or fake tanned. Although I only use a fraction of these services, it's nice to know that if I chose to become a fake tanner, I could do so immediately preceding my wax.. In line with the luxury suburban experience, the prices aren't cheap. But then, the quality of the goods and services rendered are not either - whatever I've had done seems to last just that little bit longer than when I've gone for the cheaper option elsewhere. This professionalism extends to the staff - although Glenrose Beauty Gallery is a family run business (with a mother and daughter on staff), the level of professionalism is extremely high. All the beauticians and receptionists are exceptionally well groomed, as well as engaging in a good standard of professional banter - all the usual questions are asked (What are you doing on the weekend? How good/bad is this weather!), plus some more innovative ways to pass time (Who are you barracking for this weekend? What kind of music do you listen to when you go out?). Overall, Glenrose Beauty Gallery is a great option as beauticians go; outstandingly professional, a good range of services and a pretty waiting room - what more could any princess want?
