I can't say anything about the food, but this cafe bar on the perimeter of the historic district of Santiago de Compostela offered two of us a well-needed, quiet and dry place to relax and rest after a walk through the Cathedral and Marketplace. A Coke light with ice for one of us and a cafe con leche for the other was all we wanted, and it was served with proper flourish. There are times when you want the attention of the wait staff, but this was a time we wanted to rest and regroup and we never felt like staff was ready for us to move on, even during siesta time.
Our seat by the window was just below sidewalk level, which gave us a great view of the pilgrims and others passing by.
Although we had the place mostly to ourselves, I think it could be a very lively place during a soccer match. read more
