Let me tell you I was brand new to vaping less than a month ago. So new it was ridiculous I never owned a vape unit or even understood how one worked. I visited another store in the area the same day that I went to Derb and was very discouraged walking in because the "gentleman" (not sure I can write what I thought of him on here) at the other shop was very condescending and didn't explain anything. When I came through the door I was greeted warmly at Derb and they could tell I was confused. Thank goodness for Casey and Dylan they took the time to explain what I didn't know even 20 minutes before closing. I wasn't really serious about quitting smoking at the time and I went home with my new improved pen style vapes and three days later came back because I was in the exact situation they told me I would be in (you can't beat the expertise provided at this store). I didn't like what I was sold at the extreme store. So a week later I bought 2 eleaf systems (thanks Jon for getting me what I needed) after my husband picked up my pen vape and quit smoking within 72 hours. We have learned so much in such a short time because of the staff at Derb. Just last week I took all my research in to the Taylorsville Road location and Rachael took almost 2 hours going over equipment with me in the most in depth way and making sure I truly understood. I have been in the store about 6 times now and they are always happy to see us, even with our newbie questions. We were just there last night for about 2 hours trying to find our all day vape flavors and the staff were incredibly helpful and never was a question asked that wasn't answered honestly and with the most patience. I am not a person to just hang out anywhere, but I enjoy spending time at this location and appreciate the staff and their hospitality. I have heard some people say that they think Troy has a chip on his shoulder, well I can attest to truly humble attitude he has with his customers. I was trying a liquid they didn't have in my strength and he just happened to be leaving the store, looking very busy none the less, and he stopped after overhearing and asked me several questions about why I wanted that strength and if I could wait for it for a week and then repeateeveryone knows he will not be undersold and will match all local competitors price, could you ask for more integrity? d what I needed and promised to order it for me as soon as the company made it available. I bet he still remembers the strength and the product if you ask him. Everyone here treats you like you are the only customer and the most important customer. What can I say! Really simply put phenomenal shop all around! I consider myself to be a bit of a more "advanced " vapor as I've been at it for about a year and a half and have used everything from RDA- RBA from bottom feeder to top feeder you name it I've used it and Derb carries it all! Not to often you see a shop LOCALLY that offers anything from your beginner setups ( igo, e-go twists, cartos, etc ) to your more advanced pieces ( RBA's, RDA's , kayfuns, mech mods, box bods, regulated, unregulated, etc etc..) you name it they have it! And if they don't ! They're more than happy to get it for you which is amazing! The staff is by far the most knowledgable I've seen locally and that speaks a lot! I know my stuff very well I like to think but learn something new everytime I'm there weather it has to do with building or a new mod coming out. Always are willing to help weather it be the new person or just help someone build a setup and show em the ropes, they have a building area for gods sakes that you can sit and build at or sit and learn at. Great atmosphere, comfy couches water, soft drinks, and all around great place. I don't drink so it's kinda like my local bar, where I see and hang out with my friends and get to relax and enjoy something in very passionate about! Amazing to see a local shop that a father son own and run together if ones not there the other is, and most of the time they're there together. At the end of October of 2013 I heard through a good pal of mine (who ended up getting a job there and has been with the company ever since) about this place. I was a current smoker at the time, very frequent too. Joe Moss, directed me to this wonderful business where I met the owner Troy Leblanc and his father Rick. I still remember my entire first experience there, looking at this little tiny vape shop that hadn't been expanded quite yet. I saw possibility. They had all of the electronic cigarettes that were out at the time, and on November 4th I bought my first mechanical Mod, the k-100. Hearing that this place would soon expand got me very excited, a vape lounge? So much better! No more gross harmful hookah for me. I'll take my mods any day. As you can see I've been with these guys since the beginning practically. I've grown close with Troy and Rick, great guys, and literally the entire staff consists of my closest friends. I love this place. It truly has become a second home for me. A great hang spot for anyone. I've met so many cool people and I know that others have had the same experience. I call and visit on a daily basis. Don't believe anything you hear about this place being bad. Seven or so years ago upon first starting vaping, I found the staff of Derb E Cigs to be the quintessence of amicability and congenially. Possessed of a compelling knowledge of product, they were able to readily initiate me into the culture of vaping. Having moved back into town, I've found the faces have changed but the company paradigm hasn't. Rather than most brick and mortar establishments that push sales through intimidation, Derb E embraces the antithetical and assumes the ambiance of stores in bygone days where one could feel comfortable and welcome just hanging out. It's quite obvious that making an immediate sale is completely ancillary to forming a relationship with a customer. This brings repeat business, and provides the customer with information she can reliably trust. Also, it's a special thing to feel like you're valued as a person and not as a credit card. To start, I love this shop. After poor experiences in other shops (including being looked down on, actually shunned in one place for using a clone) I found a store that not only sells the products I want but at prices that are reasonable. The staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to sit and go over the tiny details of any of my vape related questions. The owner is a great guy, willing to stop and speak with any customer while managing and building up multiple stores. I've been to this shop a few different times. They have very nice and friendly staff. They've always answered any question I've ever had. Cody and Casey are both great staff members! They offer good tasting upscale juice lines. They have authentic equipment (more than other shops in the city) and cloned equipment which is always sought after and know about the equipment. I have watched the staff work with new Vapers as well as more knowledgeable Vapers and can relate to both levels.
