Dirty table with wine stains
Underground M.

Terrible service, dirty. Wrong order. Rude waiters. Overall horrible experience. If you're used to good service, and clean establishment, AVOID this at all costs.

Fun spot, about as close to authentic as one could ask for outside of Athens. Lively place.

Ordered from the afternoon menu. For the opener, the soup of the day (e.g., a pumpkin coconut…read morecreamy soup on my visit) was really nice. Likewise, for the main, the fish of the day (e.g., a pan-fried cod fillet on my visit) was probably just as good as anything on the menu. The bread plate was like a starter since it included a buttery crème fraîche dip. Also, the suggested pairings enhanced each course so I highly suggest going that route if drinking wine. Note there is also a breakfast menu, a power lunch menu (which ends at 2PM), and a dinner menu, I believe. This is a great layover stop for higher end Mediterranean fare and Michelin-quality modern European fine dining. Prices are high however. If possible, get the 3-course business lunch for best value. FWIW, this fine dining spot was opened by two brothers who worked at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, therefore, the quality shined through.

I had a 5-hour layover in Frankfurt and came to the city center to get lunch. This is a wonderful…read morerestaurant serving elevated German-Mediterranean food. Many business lunches take place here. There is a prix-fixe lunch menu, but I chose some items à la carte that interested me: * Pumpkin soup with apples and pumpkin seed oil * Duck breast on diced kohlrabi with celeriac puree and pickled mustard seeds * Chocolate and pistachio mousse cake with hazelnut ice cream Every dish was excellent. The only item I didn't care too much for was the bread plate with a crème fraiche dip. The bread did not taste fresh and the dip was very heavy. I would have expected a nice restaurant like this to have better bread. Prices were on the higher side, but the servings were generous enough that I felt full. After lunch, I got to walk around the city center and do some quick sightseeing because it was close to the restaurant. Medici's food and location were perfect for a long layover in Frankfurt.
