The Original Barbershop is always comfortable and professional. All the gentlemen who work there are always friendly and classy. There's laughing and conversations that fill the air, but they're conscious that there are kids present and keeping it appropriate. I can't recommend it enough-we've personally had Miguel for the past 2-3 years and yesterday Evan. The other barbers seem to be just as professional and friendly providing great service. I started coming to Windham Hair Depot about four years ago. I have been going back every month…read moresince then. Katrina is the owner, and she keeps a clean, efficient shop in a well hidden location. Jenna usually cuts my hair, but Katrina fills in if I don't want to wait. They are very friendly, take pride in their work, and seem to have a client base of repeat, loyal customers. They offer a discount for seniors, and another discount for veterans. Katrina's dad was a World War II veteran, and this is her way of honoring him and his fellow veterans. I am sure he was proud of her recognition. Inside is similar to a traditional barbershop, but also provide services for women and children. It's not a "man's" shop. Decor is pictures from the forties and fifties, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, V-day in NY. No reservations, just walk in, sit, and take your turn. A few months ago, I needed a rush cut on a busy Saturday afternoon. Got in about 11:15, they already had a full house. I mentioned the need to be out before 12:30. Shortly after noon, a person who was ahead of me, told me to take his turn, he knew I had to leave. Great gift for me, but typical of the friendliness of the shop. Katrina was prepared to ask for volunteers to help me, but the group handled this on their own. They know they can expect the same on a day when they need it. Best of all, when I leave I don't look or feel like I just got a haircut! Perfect blending, no corners, but rounded shape where it should be. Give them a try, watch for their small sign on the main road, go to the back of the mini-mall, and go into the back entrance. I know that Katrina also owns Atkinson Hair Depot, I've never been there, but I suspect they are also worth trying out.

When I got home my wife pointed out two or three spots where I had been nicked by the razor and there was visible blood. During the haircut when working around my ear he pushed it back hard, uncomfortably, and for longer than normal, leaving it red and hot. Twice he dropped something he was using on the floor and I'm not sure if he reused it or replaced it, but I'm starting to think he reused it. He was aggressive and quick with most of his hair clipper movements and left my neck feeling raw. The man who cut my hair, Arturo, didn't greet me when I first walked in. After waving me over he proceeded to place his phone down in a viewing position with a YouTube or some video running. He had an AirPod in and paid little attention to me. He spoke Spanish to his pals there and didn't utter almost a single word other than asking what I wanted done. Awful experience. Avoid going there!
