    I had a fairly small claim which is why I was surprised our insurance company didn't want to cover…read morethe full amount needed to rebuild. I called this company not really knowing what this process was all about and the owner answered all my questions, explained the process, showed up and was very down to earth and polite. The end result was more than what we were originally offered by the insurance company but not what the adjuster had estimated so he ended up not charging me at all. He even talked to us about next steps if we wanted to take the claim further. Like I said, this was a smaller claim than what this company is used to dealing with I'm sure, but the owner never made us feel like we were bothering him or he was doing us a favor. Dealing with insurance companies is a pain and this company made it a little easier!

Randell Smith is a licensed public adjuster in Houston. Not only is Mr. Smith a public adjuster but he has 35 years experience in the contracting business which gives him the insight to adjust claims more thoroughly. A Public Adjuster or an attorney are the only two types of businesses licensed to deal directly with your insurance company. Just because an insurance company says a claim is closed or has made payment on a claim does not mean that it is settled. The policy holder must be satisfied with the settlement or they may reopen any claim. A public adjuster can reopen​ this claim for them by a simple phone call or faxing a letter of representation.

    I checked with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Consumer Protection department, regarding…read morethis "complaint" and was told that the basis for the complaint was "not confirmed". If there was any bonafide issue with this adjuster, there would have been more than a single complaint. The TDI takes every complaint seriously and requires specific information from the adjuster; which is used by the Department to evaluate the merit of the complaint. Since there was no action taken against this adjuster, it is clear that the TDI was presented with no evidence of malicious behavior. It appears that the complainant lacked even a minimal understanding about insurance claims, and how to best handle them. Additionally, it seems that he/she should have sought advice from a competent medical provider for the numerous aliments experienced.

He provided our tenants with our private insurance funds information. Our tenants then used this information against us, which cost us greatly. Mr. Lera lied to us about a contract and providing legal advice to us as our public insurance adjuster. We don't even know if we were paid for everything on our insurance claim. Mr. Lera was just in a hurry to close out the claim and get his money. Mr. Lera, this has caused us enormous amounts of mental anguish. I have suffered gastrointestinal problems (IBS), because of the amount of stress that Mr. Lera caused. I have also had chronic migraines, chest pain, muscle twitching and significant hair loss. I'm not trying to say that Mr. Lera was the only one that caused this, but he was apart of it. Stay away from Mr. Lera, he is an unethical person and I hope he does not cause the same pain on another person as he did to us.

    After searching all day for PA that is available to come out for my damage from hurricane beryl, I…read morecontacted Roger the owner, on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised when he answered the call. This personal touch provided comfort during a stressful situation. I was slightly confused thinking he would be my PA instead I got a call from his partner Troy it took two weeks of persistent follow-up to schedule a preliminary inspection. While they established timeframes for gathering information for my claim, these deadlines were frequently missed, necessitating regular follow-up from my end. There were times when it seemed they were handling a high volume of claims, and I occasionally worried that mine had been overlooked for that week, despite their assurances that they could manage their workload the dragged out responses showed for themselves. During a home damage situation, consistent updates and reassurance are crucial for peace of mind. That being said, when Troy took over my claim, he consistently delivered on his promises (but was delayed and missed deadlines because he was overloaded with so many claims becuase he is so detailed in his work). His extensive experience proved invaluable; if you have the opportunity to work with him, you will be in excellent hands. I witnessed him working late to meet commitments, and despite the seven-month process, they secured a settlement that exceeded my expectations. If you are patient, willing to trust their process, and can navigate some frustrating communication challenges, they will work diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for you. Cons: * Communication regarding the claim process could be improved.(They do not properly guide you in steps and process of the time frames and next steps forward) * They tend to be reactive rather than proactive.(You could be calling them for guidance instead of them calling you to provide guidance. * Phone calls are not answered approximately 75% of the time.(when your house is in shambles they are your go to and they don't pick up its hard) * Claims may not be worked on daily, and updates may be infrequent (Becuase they are busy with so many claims they might not work on your claim every day) * I received updates from the insurance company before being notified by them. * If your not patient don't go with them, but know if you go elsewhere you might not get the experience that Roger and troy have in the PA Field * They are working on bring up all qualities as I referred them to other people who have mixed reviews since they did not get Troy or Roger on there claim and have newer PA's handling the claim with not that much experience. Pros: * Troy and Roger are highly experienced and dedicated. * They will see your claim through and help you secure a settlement that you would not be able to achieve on your own. * They are genuinely kind and want to help their clients

Without him, we would not have not have known what to fight for!! We have never had our roof replaced before, so we had lots of questions. Roger spoke with our insurance company and arranged to meet him at our house. Even got up on the roof and marked & took several pictures to identify all the damage. He also helped us with the forms that had to be approved by our HOA before the work could even start. He is on-time, efficient , hard-working and very knowledgeable!
