I attended a Yelp elite painting class here and it was so much fun…read more They offer a huge schedule of art classes in all different mediums. I am planning to do some drawing and possibly more painting over the Summer. They offer kids classes too. We used water colors as the base today and she started by teaching several techniques, which was incredibly helpful once we started our abstract pieces. We also used pastels on top, which I thought added a really cool texture to my work. The teacher made each part seem so simple, everyone in the class was able to make something really beautiful. So much fun! Go check it out.

Being that the event was on a Saturday the parking lot was relatively empty so I didn't have to find street parking, but I did notice many of my classmates found street parking. No one complained do it must have been easy. The class was small and intimate with 8 of us present. The instructor Karin introduced us to the Art Students League of Denver, the offerings, and some history. We went around the room and discussed everyone's level of experience and interests. She really listened and worked to tailor our experience based on our responses. Each seat was set up with the materials we needed and we started off with introductory stitches. After an hour we focused on our Art piece and near the end of class picked up remaining supplies to finish our work at home. 10 mins before leaving we all did stretching exercises and cleaned up the room. I'd recommend attending if others are interested in learning something new or expanding their skill set.

I came to CCA as an intermediate silversmith new to the area and checking things out. I've taken…read moreseveral classes at Clear Creek Academy and will be taking another this year. I have found them to be informative and helpful, and very knowledgeable about metalsmithing. PROs: Lots of one on one time, small class sizes, and it is not run like a boot camp like some other metal arts schools in Denver. Concepts are taught with logical progression, reasons and background info given for common studio practices. Skills taught build upon each other with increasing difficulty. - They often get some really good Masters in for specialty classes. I've not been able to afford one so far. - Studio is very well equipped. A little hot in the summer though. - All their own on-site casting equipment, wax classes don't have to send out for outside casting. - First Friday of every month is free open studio night - students can come to the studio and work on their projects. CONs: The evening classes I take are 3 hours long, which seems very short - not a lot of time to get set up and working, along with class instruction and demos. Another hour would really be nice. - The slowest member of the class can slow down the entire class' completion of a project. The Intermediate class I took, the class started the second project on our last class day. Overall -- Highly knowledge teachers, easy going, and WELL taught -- lots of knowledge and REASONS why something should be done a certain way. Recommended!

The teacher clearly favored a couple of students, always helping them first, while the rest of us fell further behind each week. I emailed the teacher to ask if I could come back for a couple of hours to finish, and she never responded. We clearly didn't click, it wasn't much fun, and I will not be taking more classes.

Yarrow is recognized as one of the best photographers worldwide and Relévant Galleries has one the largest and longest-standing US collections of his work. Fine Art Advisor & Curator of Relévant Galleries, Melissa Batie gave us a private tour & was nothing-less than awesome. She provided so much insight into David Yarrow & his photography. She had a deep understanding of his inspiration & process and was able to articulate extensive facts on the photos themselves while also showing her passion on assembling Yarrow's spectacular works into her clients' collections (with meaning & value). David Yarrow's work documents the natural world from new perspectives with large archival pigment prints. Yarrow's photography in Relévant Galleries made us feel wild yet mesmerized; the pure raw energy from the animals in the shots combined with the logistics and planning that goes into each and every photograph was captivating. Yarrow's works include not only wild animals but a number of high-profile celebrities including Alessandra Ambrosio, Ciara & Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson. What a collection!
