Do I need to repeat how amazing he is and impressed we are? And his staff is incredible! Last time it was Amy and Elizabeth, who directly assisted Dr. Cooper, and, of course, others helped too before and after the treatment. Truly amazing dentist and human, and truly kind and caring staff! Where do I begin?.. We came to Dr. Cooper to fix the mistakes of our former dentist. We were referred to him by our oral surgeon/implantologist. In his office waiting room we saw numerous diplomas of credentials and achievements along with numerous stories about his selfless service to patients and community, and we were impressed that the dentist with decades of experience and such great achievements was in our network, as many dentists we met before left networks as soon as they got well-established, so we knew that Dr. Cooper wasn't in it just for money. He spent plenty of time with us and temporarily fixed the shaking wrongly installed crown and installed a new crown and give us a discount (which we never asked for!), because he "felt bad for us." How amazing is that?! His numerous staff members were so friendly, as if we knew them for years, truly and genuinely friendly and helpful. Only to show up and be told she had to pay $155 up front because they were not able to verify her insurance. She asked them why they couldn't verify it right then and they told her it would take time. I came in an asked the same thing and the office manager told me because she has other patients.......Huh? The office was complexly empty besides us and one patient that was in the chair. She also got mad because we wouldn't take that answer and started acting like I was treating the office staff bad and asked me to lower my voice like I was yelling. She also suggested that we find somewhere to else to go and we did exactly THAT!!! And had no issues by the way. I have filed a complaint with both my insurance companies and DO NOT recommend that you come here. It such a shame because Dr. Villa really is a very sweet man.

This is further proven by the fact that they were ADAMANT that I owed 600$ above my max payout of dental insurance. However, when I reminded them that I came in with a flyer that said $150 for a whole bunch of the stuff they had billed my insurance for and gotten WAY more than $150, suddenly, I was in the mid $300 owed. I reached out to my dental insurance and found out they are charging more than the norm and the insurance covers the norm. Most offices, will write off the difference knowing the higher price is ridiculous anyway. However, they seem to feel quite justified that the VIBE of the office, the little touches like pens, cookies for a company anniversary will be what keeps people coming back. This is true if you are only interested in working with the rich and fabulous. However, if you wish to work with regular people who have kids in college, mortgages to pay, and other economical needs then paying more for some silly gimmicks is marketing, not BETTER DENTAL CARE. I liked both Drs. I honestly only had negative experiences with the front desk staff. The dental care was not ANY better than I used to received at Family Dental Care in South Chicago. I honestly am upset at myself for not reading these reviews first. Lastly, I am SHOCKED that the office replied with someone's XRAY's that is a total HIPPA violation, or at least completely unethical at best!! Shame on you. Totally unprofessional.
