I am extremely disappointed with my experiences at Strong Roots Dental. The office uses very pushy…read moresales tactics and frequently tries to persuade patients to spend anywhere from $100 to $1,000 on services or products that don't seem necessary. I've experienced this multiple times, and each visit ends with me feeling pressured into spending hundreds of dollars beyond a normal appointment. This makes the experience uncomfortable and frustrating as a patient. Because of this repeated pressure and the unnecessary costs, I would not recommend going to this practice. I'd strongly encourage you not to go here, save yourself money and time.

I would not recommend this dentist's office and will never return. First of all, the dentist who I…read morebooked my appointment with doesn't even work there anymore. Her name and photo are still posted on their office window and online, and their current dentist's isn't. Second, their lack of cleanliness was disgusting and concerning. It is incredibly dusty and dirty inside, with old gross furniture and broken blinds. I was nervous I was going to get sick from my exam, though luckily it seemed their tools were sealed in wrappings. They nickel and dime you, up-charging for every little service. Fluoride treatment was $75. They tried to convince me that my retainers were harming my teeth and that I needed to pay them $1,000 for Invisalign. They didn't even provide a toothbrush or floss! Knowing I'd never return, I asked for my records to be emailed to me, which was met with rude questioning and a $25 charge. They are a scam of a business and should be ashamed of their practices! Strong Roots: clean your office, update your dentist's information, and stop scamming your patients.

TLDR: Good quality dental care, subpar billing and management…read more After an initial consult, during which I was treated like an emperor, I fell for the routine and paid several thousand dollars upfront for an Invisalign treatment. A month later, having received no communication - I followed up and 'Janet' showed up. Dr Ali and her dental assistant team her team were excellent, thorough and professional in their interactions. At the beginning of the first meeting it was explained that Invisalign wasn't covered by insurance, which included a whitening treatment as part of the procedure. Oddly, no cleaning nor annual examination were offered during the 18 month treatment. It wasn't until that final appointment and after cleaning, X-rays etc., was I told the whitening wasn't part of the plan I'd paid in advance for. Be aware that while quality of care is good, the office management and billing team are uncommunicative, illusive, inconsistent and we caught them attempting to push claims through our insurance company (according to our insurance) despite telling us they don't take that insurance and asked us to pay in full up front. On multiple occasions appointments were moved or adjusted by the office, all of which were during regular working hours for most people... I've personally no issue with that as a freelancer and understanding clients but it might be inconvenient for others.

The initial reason I went in was for a new night mouth guard. They had me come in to get fitted. It's crazy but I had that crown for about 12 years ! I panicked immediately thinking I chipped my natural teeth , but lo and behold it was the crown!! I was in a better state of mind at this point but I wanted to get it replaced ASAP! I was looking desperately for emergency care in the same day but I believe since it was already near noon all the other dentists were booked or closed for the day! I remembered that my lady had gotten her filling done here and she was very pleased so I called to see if they could do it. After some back and forth I They actually had an appointment for me 10am on 2/25/25!! I hadn't spoke to the doctor yet it was just the receptionist that booked my appointment! I got there at like 9:40 am and did all the paperwork and one of the doctors named John greeted me and escorted me to the operating room/ office . He was super polite and got everything set up and ready for the other doctor.. Doctor Wang! She explained that after her assessment I needed a new crown and it would be like my older porcelain ones it would be zirconia. (Zirconia crowns are a high-quality dental restoration option that offers excellent strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal. They are a metal-free choice for patients who want a long-lasting and natural-looking solution for damaged or decayed teeth. However, it is important to consider the potential costs and limitations before making a decision)- from google. Dr. Wang asked if I wanted it today....of course I said yes lol ! Who wants to really have a temporary cover for an unknown amount of time. Then she politely said it would be a few because we had to prepare the exposed tooth for the crown. You know the X-rays , needles grinding of the tooth, then filling . But it wasn't a bad experience at all! it was Dr. Wang and John all the way from start to finish! John & Dr. Wang The Dynamic Duo of the Dental industry!! It was like the perfect system as they did all the dental care then used their state of the art 3d printing computer/machines to scan my mouth and teeth, to construct my new crown that matches and fits perfectly! I was there for about 2.5 hours and got it all done and looks amazing ! I could not believe John and Dr. Wang got it done so easily and rapidly! Thank you guys for your accurate and speedy work! I will definitely be returning to Nova Dental for the flawless work you guys Dr. (Wang and John) have done!

Administrative Incompetence: I booked in December for a…read moreJanuary spot. They canceled last minute and pushed me back an entire month. Didn't offer anything sooner even though the reschedule was their fault. Then, after I picked a 9:00 AM slot provided by their own system and received multiple confirmations, a week before they called to tell me they aren't even open at that time. To make matters worse, they insinuated I picked a wrong time, rather than the fact that it was again, their scheduling error. Major Safety Violation: The scheduling is bad, but the clinical care is worse. During my last cleaning, they hadn't secured a metal component on a spray gun properly. It shot off into my mouth like a projectile. Luckily it hit hard inside my mouth. If it had gone down my throat the situation would have been life-threatening. It is clear this office has no regard for their patients' time or their physical safety. After months of being jerked around and a near-miss with a piece of metal, I'm done. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist who is actually organized and safe.

So I have been a patient for over 10 years. Even before she started her individual practice. Dr…read more Leung is very conservative with the work she decides to do. She will inform you of the work that is needed, but that's just her giving you her medical/dental opinion. It's still your choice if your going to do it or not just tell them. Also I think people don't understand that the office is not harassing you, it's their liability to reach out to us as patients and tell us to get the work done just say no and they will document, this just means you can't say they didn't say so down the road when your tooth is hurting. This rule is the same at medical offices. Although there have been many staff changes over the years, the quality of work I received have never caused any issues. All the negative reviews must have just been the bad batches that the office had since I'm sure if she was a horrible dentist she wouldn't be around for this long and have many loyal patients like myself return for so many years. Can't speak on behalf of their experiences but seems unfortunate and I hope you found your perfect dentist. I have old silver fillings from when I was about 8 years old and she even recommended not to replace unless I am having issues. So I highly doubt she's only about the money. I have about 6 of them. When my bonding from my teenage years came off, she gave me options I ultimately decided to just have the bonding redone versus getting veneers and they look so natural and feel so smooth I hardly notice it's there. So please do not let the negative reviews below stop you from visiting her office. Everyone has their own stories, some over exaggerate and in some cases we don't know their full story, which is why I shared this lengthy review. I really hate for you to base your decisions on a bunch of negative reviews. For over 10 years I go 2x a year for my cleanings and go my Merry way. Thank you Dr. Leung for always taking great care of my teeth over the years Lol finding time during COVID-19 pandemic to write an overdue review. Stay safe everyone and see you at my next routine visit when this is all over!

Avoid her like the plague! A truly terrible dentist! Do not believe the reviews here…read more She is probably adequate, at best, for the most SIMPLE and BASIC dental procedures. And even then, I would take pause. I went to her for a routine, general check up. She was about to do a deep cleaning procedure I totally did not need, after having told her that I had had laser gum surgery last year, and she needed to refrain from any invasive procedures. (Deep cleaning is invasive and can create new crevices or canals in the gums.) Luckily, I had a feeling she did not know what she was doing and promptly left her office. I went to my gum specialist later in the week who said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the area around which she was about to do the procedure. And then I received a bill in the mail six later for the exam and X-ray that diagnosed a problem which did not exist in the first place. She invents things to fix just to get money out of patients. She is a horrible diagnostician. Get a second opinion on anything she tells you is wrong with your teeth...Or better yet, don't go to her at all.
