The personnel at Dentastic dental Center are just amazing. I'm having trouble getting my current insurance to approve a bite guard and even though I'm not a current patient of Dentastic dental; they talk to me for quite a while to give me advice on how to get my bite guard approved since they cared for my teeth in 2020. My current dentist would not even help me with an appeal. I'm seriously thinking of changing dentist and going back to Dentastic dental and Dr Kim. What I like the most about Dr Kim is that she doesn't try to sell you on a lot of dental work. Most dentists sell you on a lot of dental work and most everyone knows dental work is expensive. She only suggested a bite guard says she noticed wear marks on my teeth. If you're looking for a new dentist or even if you're not happy with your current dentist, try Dentastic dental. All of the staff are simply wonderful. read more

I am shocked they treated me terrible and hurt me didnt give me enough novacaine yanked on my tooth and literally i was lifting off my seat in pain. Once it was out they didnt even so much as let me rest 5 minutes. Lady at desk said I looked pale so I sat in lobby a few minutes to rest. They made me pay an office visit and co pay even tho my insurance covers the visit fee. They did a simple molar extraction then added extra charges for services they did not perform. I payed 105.00 for an office visit and then billed my insurance as well for an office visit. They are scamming people! A simple extraction and they are trying to bill over $600 on top of the 105 office fee+5 copay. I imagine some people are not even noticing they've done this! BEWARE!!!! read more

I had an exceptional experience the past two weeks with the dental procedures I needed at Dentastic Dental in Pompano Beach, FL I should state that I have a huge fear of dentist and the team knew this. They took extra measures to make sure I was comfortable and waited anytime I felt anxious. I had deep cleanings and a crown done. I have been coming here for the past 2 years and have always had a good experience. I have gotten my teeth cleaned twice with good results, and Dr Kim put a crown on me and replaced old fillers that were yeeears old and did it very carefully. Dr Kim is very gentle and takes her time which I really appreciate. I will keep coming here as long as I live in the area read more

I first came to Dr Kim I'm so much pain I could not chew and I was on a liquid diet. Dr Kim and her excellent staff immediately put me at ease and in a very short time I was eating steak again! Everyone is so helpful and friendly I have recommend this office to everyone I know. It has now been two years and I continue to be in excellent care. Went there to get a replacement set of dentures. Was lied to about the price from the onset. After threatening to leave they finally honored their quote. Dr. Kim herself was very professional. However the dentures that I landed up with were dull and very painful. She did a follow-up but did not correct the problem. I made another appointment and when I got there for the appointment was told that "She was too busy". Had been told that "no appointment was necessary " by Dr. Kim. Went in a third time and again was told "She was too busy". I feel like that since they got their $1800 they didn't care to make sure that their product was to my satisfaction. I had my first appointment their they where supposed to take x-rays andthen a teeth cleaning. I got their filled out my paper work got in they took my X-rays then told me I quote "we looked at your appointment and it looks like you had two appointment one X-ray at 10am and one cleaning at 11am we will not be able to get to you for another 40min" I said first of all it was 11am and I was only given one appointment 10am and I would not wait 40min after making an appointment it left a very bad impression to me for my first visit. My wife had come here 3x before and said that the office Mgr. had absolutely no idea about scheduling appointment's I agree. My wife and I will never come here ever again. read more

The new dentist was ok, however the front office is so bad I never returned. I went here for over a year and from what I gathered the owner was not there very often - at his other practice. Seemed to be high turnover with hygienists probably due to the poor way the office/scheduling was run. The girl at the front window gave me many problems with my insurance mainly out of laziness on her part. She also lied to me about filing the claim. I had to keep calling them to get them to submit my claim, then repeated calls to get my check after they did file it. Office mgr seemed inept too. I lost my temper with these people - all 3 in the front office. Long waits too, although seems to be the norm at dentists. In all fairness I have not been there in 7 months so maybe things have gotten better, although I doubt it. read more

Ok so I'm starting to believe that there are no more reputable dentist offices anymore. I have been trying for months, to no avail, to find my mom a good dental office with her Solstice dental plan and so far I am now on the second awful experience. After a terrible experience at another office, I called and spoke to the secretary at Dentastic and was CLEAR that I wanted to schedule a cleaning for my mom. I told her about the awful experience at the other office and explained we just wanted a CLEANING. The secretary said she'd need her X-rays and I said no problem we would get those. So in we go for a 4pm appointment today. All was fine until I filled out all the paperwork and then was still waiting and waiting. At 4:40pm we get called back to a chair. This is the first thing I found disgusting. The rooms are not private. There's a minor partition between chairs where one guy is getting a tooth drilled and we can see and hear everything. Gross! Germs and particles do travel. I can only imagine the bacteria in that place. I then noticed the tray that my mom's dental tools were on was dirty with some kind of nasty smudges. Again disgusting. Finally the dentist came over and started to examine my mom. She told her what she recommended which was an extraction. Fine we said but for today we came for a cleaning. I clearly saw a hygienist packing up to leave. The dentist didn't say we wouldn't get a cleaning. She just insisted that the extraction should happen. I stated again that we came for a cleaning and we would schedule that for next time. She said ok. I then sat and waited again. After a few more minutes some blonde lady in a lab coat came over and said I could go to the front and schedule a cleaning. I was confused. I said we are here for a cleaning today. She looked lost. Then the secretary starting talking about that she never said we'd get a cleaning today. She said the doctor would have to examine her and see her X-rays. I said yes you said that but you never said we couldn't get a cleaning on the same day. So she collected a copay for a dentist to look in her mouth and then we have to come back and pay another copay for a cleaning when it could all be done together? Funny how the dentist had no problem doing an extraction today but a cleaning no. Money!!!! Another office where that's all that rules. The secretary needs to be clear and say you will not get a cleaning on the first visit. Which I don't know why that would be. I've been to a number of offices myself that schedule EVERYTHING on ONE day. Ohhhh but I forgot the little sob story about how all the staff got to work late and were behind because of traffic in the morning. I don't care. You run a business. Figure it out. You could have called and said you may want to reschedule because we won't be able to do what we promised today. Instead my mom and I wasted an hour for NOTHING. And when I requested the secretary destroy my mom's paperwork she said she needed to keep everything. I told her I didn't want my mom's social on papers at a place we would not return to. Again nothing. So DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! It has been hard finding a good office, but I will not give up. There must be a good dentist and professional al office out there. read more

Arrived in a good mood and then left angry! The front desk receptionist was very pleasant. I admittedly was overdue for a check up and x-rays, but I also had broken bonding which gave me the motivation to schedule an appointment and cleaning. Before arriving, I made a bet with my husband that the cleaning would be canceled as my husband and I have never made an appointment without the cleaning being canceled a few on the same day. Sure enough the cleaning was canceled! Fine, I wanted to get my x-rays, exam, and bonding fixed. The tech that took my x-rays got irritated with me when I got a dry spot in the back of my throat and started coughing from the tabs they pushed to the back for the x-ray. I felt like I had to apologize for something I couldn't help. She kept sighing while she took the rest of the x-rays even though I said that it shouldn't happen again. Then, out comes the dentist. She started poking around and asking questions, but got irritated when I answered her. So I asked, "Do you want me to answer the questions?" So she was pissed that I hadn't had a cleaning in two years and I explained that I had scheduled prior cleanings that got canceled by the office and that I had one scheduled for this visit.....that got canceled! Then she said that she was not going to fix my bonding, even though I was paying not my insurance, and said that I needed crowns on both of my teeth (one was broken)! I said that I would just like the bonding and she refused and walked away to see if my insurance would cover two crowns. I did not see her again, but could hear her and the tech whispering and bitching in the back! So I took off my bib and got up. One of the office workers came over with a quote for two crowns and I said, "I am just going to take my x-rays and go." What ever happened to customer service? Professionals should not act irritated and be rude to people. I will find another dentist ASAP! read more

This dentist office is the worst dental practice I've ever been to. Im still waiting for a dental claim from last year. I keep calling to get my money back and I never get a manager on the phone. BEWARE of the weird mean lady with the white hair and bald spot on the top of her head she is a scam artist. Dr. Kim has no experience and is all about making money. I found an ad in the Pompano Pelican for a $49 dental cleaning and x-rays at Dentastic in Pompano Beach. I went to the appointment, waited 50 minutes (they were running late) and the assistant said they were going to do x-rays first. I explained I had x-rays done 5 or 6 months ago in Fort Lauderdale and it wasn't necessary. She insisted. She also said I should have brought my other x-rays with me (maybe they could have mentioned this when I called for an appointment). Following the x-rays the fee went from $49 for a basic cleaning (they refused to do one) to $150 for a medium cleaning. It was a complete hustle. Unfair and deceptive business practices. No reason to do business with a dental practice that advertises one service and fee and then triples the fee when the patient arrives. read more

My name is Celeste & I moved to Florida almost 5 years ago. I went to Dentastic Dental in pompano Beach. The people there are really nice & caring. I had some BIG problems with my teeth. I was so scared that I might lose my teeth. They have helped me save my teeth. They took really good care of me. They called me the next day to see how I was doing. If there were an option for zero stars I would have chosen that instead. Ms. Kim has absolutely no right to call herself a doctor. I recommend that she go back to dental school. I went to see her for cavity fillings, and had discomfort for months. Eventually, it got to the point where I could not endure any more pain. She said that that was normal since every patient required a different amount of time to adjust to the fillings. I went for a second opinion, and was told I needed a root canal due to her negligence! I highly recommend that you avoid her at all costs. Her staff was very nice though. read more
