I don't even know where to begin. Everyone was just so nice and respectful, and professional and happy to be at work! The receptionists were just lovely. The woman (I forget her name and job title, regrettably) who did my cleaning and X-rays was just a saint!! She went out of her way to calm me down and make me feel comfortable, gave helpful and encouraging advice, and just showed genuine compassion and understanding. The best part was the cleaning itself. Literally every single time I have told new dentists I have sensitive teeth. Still every single time the cleanings were downright torturous. But not here!!! I told her I had sensitive teeth, so she went out of her way to make sure it wouldn't hurt! I didn't feel a thing, except that awesome clean feeling afterward. It's been a few weeks now but I still just cannot get over how amazing the experience here was. Now I FINALLY have a dentist I can make my own permanently.

Was asked about my credit score, etc, and informed the "required" work would be expensive. Decided on a 150 mi trip to my long-time dentist for a 2nd opinion, as I received regular checkups and hygiene appointments, wore night guard, etc. After detailed exam, no cracks were found. Still no cracks years later, but the sting of the mis-diagnosis (or outright scam attempt) lingers. Too bad that honesty isn't a cornerstone here. Or is it a lack of technical skill? When calling Dr Romeo's office for a F/u appt recently I was informed Dr Grassa had moved to Sayville so I called and made an appt. I saw him recently at Sayville Family Dentistry. My initial interaction with the friendly receptionist was positive. I then saw the hygienist who informed me I may need to return for two deep cleanings, although she had not taken X-rays yet nor had she done my cleaning yet. I was then seen by Dr Grassa who briefly examined me then told me I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth and the tooth required removal. Never showed me the tooth in question by using a mirror, never showed me anything on X-rays and never explained why he came to his conclusion. (I had X-rays done 8 months ago and have never had tooth discomfort). He told to see a dental surgeon. No referrals given for a dental surgeon, no documentation given as to why he reached his conclusion but just a very dismissive /disinterested attitude about my dental care as he just walked out of the room. I do not recommend this dentist and I already have an appt. with a new dentist. I should have seen Dr Romeo instead of wasting my time.

After repeating X-rays and examining my teeth, he determined that there was no need for "a cap" as suggested by Dr Grassa and no need for 2 deep cleanings as suggested by Arkna his hygienist. He did however have to reclean my teeth despite my having done a cleaning a week ago at Dr Grassa. When something doesn't seem right ALWAYS go for a second opinion!!

From the…read moremoment I walked in I was greeted by reception with unfriendliness, arrogance, and condescending attitude. Though I arrived 10 minutes early, i was made to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. The hygienist was rude, insulting and uncaring. I felt I was being shamed for my condition, and was told it would be a long hopeless and expensive journey. This was before Dr Errante walked in. He asked if the hygienist explained everything and I had any questions. He never examined or even looked at me, as he was clearly preoccupied. Worst medical experience of my life, which left me with PTSD, and fear of going to the dentist, any dentist.
