The quote which they said would take 48 hours took a week. When I called to ask what was happening my sales rep said it was almost done and he would call back in 30 minutes. After waiting three hours I called again. It was still not done. After I finally received the quote I took it to my insurance company. They signed off on the work and told me Carstar would contact me to set up an appointment. I waited a couple of days and heard nothing so I called Carstar again. They said they had not gotten the sign off from the insurance company. I called my adjuster and he said everything was done on his side. Eventually I got a call from Carstar saying I could bring in the vehicle Monday morning. They said it would be ready on Friday. The following Monday I called to see what was up as I had not heard anything. They said it would be ready the next day. It was not. I ended up getting on Wednesday but only after I called the national Carstar offices. When I picked it up the sales representative made excuses and did not acknowledge let alone apologize for the poor service. I fully understand that sometimes parts take longer then expected. However the sales associate would not give me an accurate estimation of the time it would take and did not return my calls. My impression was that it was nothing to do with parts but rather an unorganized and lazy sales rep. My experience reflected very poor customer service. There are lots of places that do body work in Kingston. Take your car somewhere else.
