Neuadd Willis House - A,B,C Block

Neuadd Willis House

(1 review)

I've lived here for two years now and really do mention it in Facebook and Twitter posts all the…read moretime... not to mention there is a dedicated Facebook group page set up for all those living at Willis. Okay, so here it goes. I first moved into Neuadd Willis during my second year at Bangor and it was similar to the universities' student halls, which were really friendly places. However, there was a significant difference which should be noted. Most of the students kept their flat doors open. This didn't happen in university halls as they were automatic self locking doors but unlocked so any potential intruder could walk in. As the year goes on this doesn't seem to matter so much as everyone gradually begins to know each other, especially the flat opposite. Willis is normally a very quiet hall. Apart from a few, the majority are third years and postgraduates who are quiet, reserved and can make great friends. The warden system at Willis ensures that any excessive noise between the hours of 11pm and 9am are thoroughly dealt with and you can always be sure someone is there to help. Neuadd Willis comprises of roughly 380 rooms both en-suites and studios which can comprise of 3, 4, 5 and 6 cluster rooms. The seven blocks are within close proximity to onsite laundry and postboxes. If you live in either of these blocks Wetherspoons or The Harp would be your local. If you're going for the more expensive and exclusive rooms ask for the Ty Ni block but if you're happy to socialise then any standard room is good.
