We went on a Sunday, so it was un-manned. You can self-serve, which is so cool. You can pay via Venmo or drop cash in the slot! They will even take volunteer work in exchange for produce. Prices are up on their chalkboard and they have beautiful, healthy plants, flowers and veggies. It was such a lovely experience and I'll make sure to visit every time I'm in Lansing. All of the vendors that I've met have been really kind and fair-priced if not sometimes cheaper than big stores. The social media accounts will often tell you what vendors will be at the market each day and I think that can be really helpful! There's free parking which is really nice but the market does get busy VERY quickly. I know the Saturday markets during the summer can be suuuper busy so I'd recommend going early or knowing you may need to walk.

That can start with the central dining area. It's not nice. It could be rustic and a place people would want to sit and have coffee. Unless it's Steady Eddy's, I'm taking my food to go. The place severely needs a makeover. It's right by the college. Capitalize on that. Make it an environment that is friendly and they will come and patronize regularly. I should know- I used to be one of those students. Let's talk about parking. Yep- I'm going to move every last of those orange cones every single time to create more parking. It is an open-air market in a parking lot close to two major East/West Lansing bus routes, and is generally open from mid May through Mid October.
