Hog Heaven is a great mix between a 6 pack charter and a over-crowded party boat, offering a boat that can fish any weather or conditions; and not be packed to the gills snagging your neighbors left and right. Bikes: seemed really good (and they provide water-bladder backpacks too). Cost $60 per person for the day. What we did: rented bikes and went out on our own. Rob recommended two nearby trials (one non-technical). We went for the non-technical trail and it was a nice, scenic route (a fair bit of uphill followed by a long downhill section). Would be interested to do this again and try the more technical trail.

We explored the bay area for a few hours, lots of quirky houseboats and beautiful views and headed back where he met us and drove us back to the ferry. After getting out of the ferry, there was a line where we were be driven in trams to the observation area. Because we had brought a cart, one of the park employees brought it up on a van instead. The island is beautiful, historical, clean and makes me want to visit again. Once we were in the area, it provided a view of the fireworks in Sausalito, the Golden Gate Bridge and the random areas within the city with fireworks. Although the colorful fog was more visible than the fireworks itself, just the experience of celebrating Independence Day as well as a birthday was worth it. We had a chance to watch and listen to a canon get fired, we got free neon lights, watched civil war soldiers, listened to the star spangled banner played by a small band. There was a small concession stand that sold sodas, coffee, hotdogs, cake, wine and brownies. Overall a fun experience, I would come back to explore the other parts of the island.

I rented the single kayak and it includes a life jacket, and the use of a dry bag. The kayak and gear were all in good condition. All the employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. You can't beat the views from the water! If you haven't already, you gotta check out Sea Trek!

We observed cranes and fish nibbling at surface snacks. In the distance, you can see Mount Tam and a bit closer--the Brazos railroad bridge. While there is much to see and do in Napa, this experience at the end of our trip was a definite highlight.
