I can't imagine an elderly person who doesn't have family to help them. This company doesn't respect or care for its clients at all. **The caregivers like Desire' are working the system. They moonlight with 'emergency' staffing companies that pay higher rates and ditch their regular jobs when they get those emergency staff calls. It's a racket that leaves the elderly at risk. I might just have caregiving in my blood as my mother was an LPN and my great-aunt an RN. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver, in AFHs and through agencies and of all the places that I've worked throughout my time as first an NAC and then as a CNA I have to say my favorite has been/is "Home Care Assistance". It's evident from the start that they care about their employees as well as their clients and the managing staff in Liberty Lake are beyond amazing. They all need to be honored and recognized for their hard work; Tia and Amy and Jen and Brandie should all get an award for going above and beyond mere management duties. I wouldn't want to work for any other agency ever. I am really happy that they, and all the clients I've been assigned to so far, really seem to like me because I plan on staying on for as long as they'll have me. The last 2 days with different caregivers went well, but by that time I was home having to leave the hospital early because of what was going on at home. I was also being called in the hospital every 5 minutes from people in this company and also by neighbors telling me what was happening. My spouse and pets were definitely traumatized by the shenanigan's in my home. I went back to the company I used before, Love In Home Senior Care, they are wonderful and bill twice monthly, not in your face when you are half dead in a hospital like an aggressive used car salesman not respecting your health and crisis. My husband was filthy and very stinky when I got home, he thought I was dead, my house was FILTHY and my dogs didn't even have water. I had to have someone come and clean the day after I got home. My list is endless... I can honestly say, 2 of the supposed caregivers and the 2 women I had to deal with did not care about us at all. When these issues arose, instead of taking accountability, each person I communicated with turned the blame onto me, claiming I had called off on shifts I had never agreed to work in the first place. Regardless of the fact that I had messages providing sufficient proof to negate these allegations, they were blatantly ignored, and all management personnel stuck to their story. Svetlana and her team are responsive, caring and compassionate. For them it is truly being a Loving Neighbor - not just a job. Last month I had an unexpected surgery scheduled and only two days to find a ride to and from the hospital with 24 hour care following release from the hospital.
