Came in today to install a new trunk spoiler onto my car. Jeff wrapped the new spoiler gloss black and took off my old spoiler and installed this new one. Great detail and great work. He even fixed my tail light housing cover inside the car that had a broken clip. Which he didn't have to do I just mentioned it to him when I dropped my car off cuz I thought it could just be fixed with double sided tape. He had extra clips laying around which is what he used to fix it. Super nice guy will be returning for any wrap work I need! Highly recommend him.

Truly a great experience. Changing up your cars look can be stressful. The countless hour deciding on what to do, picking the right material and foremost deciding on the right people. Jeff has made my experience stress free. He answered all my questions, took my car in the last minute for a very important show, and delivered as promised. He told me that he will work on my car on the 11th to the 15th. While other company's would keep your cars for weeks. He immediately started working on my car and my car alone as soon as I dropped it off. I also picked it up on the agreed date. The end results was far more than I expected. Everything looked great. I've done business twice with this outstanding shop, just off of Main St in Chula Vista. After having had a couple of dicey experiences with larger, commercial level shops, I tried DeluxWraps based on a friend's recommendation, and have been extremely happy with the quality here. Great wrap quality, and true artistic work - This is someone who takes personal pride in each job, and treats each project that way. I've seen his full vehicle wraps, and they're perfect. Smaller jobs? Perfect as well. You can't go wrong here, just be sure to call first - He's quite popular. read more

Jeff installed tein enduro pro plus adjustable shocks on my wife's TMYLR & I felt the difference from road noise immediately. It was his first project of replacing these shocks & suspension but he did a great job. I would recommend Jeff 100%. read more

Jeff is awesome. The Jeep went in for some lowering springs and rotors/pads. Well, after getting the first spring out he realized the springs were already lowering springs. He put the spring back in, and only charged me for the brakes. That was at least an hour of his time wasted that he didn't charge me for. Stand up guy. Great work. My Jeep will be back for a full wrap and any other basic installs I may need down the road. 100% recommended read more

Made the trip from Bakersfield to Chula Vista to get work done by Jeff....WELL WORTH THE TRIP!!! Had my car bagged and hood & roof vinyl wrap removed and added stripes...ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!! He's VERY professional and kind. Did amazing on the install of my air suspension. Ima chick.. so it was a lot to take in...he was patient and answered all questions. Jeff did an amazing job on my Q60! Walking into the shop to set up an appointment, he was finishing up another Q60 fully wrapped, and made me wish I could do my whole car. While waiting on the day of my appointment, I came to show Jeff my old Honda accord to see if there was anything Jeff could do, but instead of beating around the bush, he said he didn't want to waste my money on possibly doing a bad job with all the dented and rusted panels, which I totally respect. He did however recommend me to someone who could possibly do plasti-dip job. Anyways, Jeff took in my Infiniti last Wednesday and finished before the estimated time he told me to come by. He gave me great information for treatment and also what to expect after a fresh installation. This shop is also next to a tint shop and audio shop and also a taco shop i think, so it has everything you need! read more

I had a great experience with Jeff. I brought some pre-cut tint for my tail lights that weren't able to fit appropriately, so Jeff was able to wrap them with material he already had. He did an amazing job with very high quality. He also helped me with blacking out my bow ties and taking off one of the emblems on my trunk. I'll definitely only come here for any and every custom wrap job moving forward. I highly recommend. Very satisfied and happy with his work. read more

One thing I can love about shops is the cleanliness! This shop has that, from the minute you walk in you get a HUGE sense of pride from the owners. This is definitely THE place to go to for anything wrapped, they have a great selection and can obtain any style wrap you want as well!. Gav is the man, have seen a couple of his bikes on the road and they look brand new! read more

Staff mocked us in Spanish (not realizing I understand Spanish), made inappropriate comments about our payment method (cash) , and even shared other well known customers' names in a mocking way. The parts they recommended were incorrect and for a different vehicle, even though they had already seen our vehicle in the parking lot. An employee later threw the shock absorbers on the counter and raised his voice at my partner. As of January 10, we are still missing paid parts and have not received a refund. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. I do not recommend this location.

Instead of following the estimate we agreed on he deleted it and substituted Geico's without asking me then told me I had to pay him my $1000 deductible! I told him that if I had wanted Geico's estimate I would have taken it to their body shop. Hector said he had to follow Geico's repair order. When I called my appraiser he said NO, IT IS ONLY A GUIDELINE. When I told Hector I wanted him to follow his estimate, he said I'd have to pay the 20% restocking fee for the Toyota parts I never authorized him to buy in the first place. He also told me that if I wanted to take my car to another body shop I'd have to pay $500 for them to put my car back together. Also told me I'd have to return the rental car immediately! After talking to the manager he was happy to tell me they got it down to $595 instead of $1000. The original difference was $81 out of pocket for me had they followed their estimate. I felt bullied and harassed. I wonder if they treat all seniors this way.

While Miatomotive is no longer in business, I've heard he plans to reopen elsewhere. If so, I hope potential customers will read this review and think twice before trusting him with their business. In July 2022, I dropped off my Miata for an engine rebuild to address a persistent knocking issue. Over the next 16 months, Rocky repeatedly lied to me about the status of the work. Each month, I called for updates, only to receive excuses and false progress reports. He claimed the engine had been removed, sent to another shop, rebuilt, and returned--only awaiting installation. Yet, month after month, he delayed, citing one excuse after another. The truth became clear in December 2023, when I called and discovered a voicemail stating that Miatomotive had shut down. I was given just a few weeks to retrieve my car before it would be towed as an abandoned vehicle. Upon picking it up, I found that the engine had never been removed. My car had been sitting outside the entire time, exposed to the elements, with the paint severely oxidized as a result. To add insult to injury, I was not alone. Judging by the number of vehicles still sitting at his closed shop--nearly 40 according to Google Maps--many others suffered a similar fate. Rocky took my money with no intention of doing the work he promised. Instead of being honest about his backlog or limitations, he led me on with false promises and outright lies. Had he been upfront, I could have taken my car elsewhere. Instead, I was left with a ruined vehicle and thousands of dollars lost. I wish I had lived closer to monitor the situation, but I was dealing with personal medical challenges that made it difficult to follow up in person. Unfortunately, my trust and patience were completely exploited. People like Rocky Murphy need to be held accountable for their actions. His lack of ethics and deceit left me with no car, no money, and no resolution. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others. Rocky Murphy you're a disgrace to the Miata community....

We had a leaking rear main seal on our Miata and we heard that Rocky's was the place to take your…read moreMiata, so we gave him a call. William (Rocky) answered and informed us that it would be about 6 weeks before we could even drop the car off. We understood and agreed to bring it in on 08/27/22. I arrived at his shop in National City, met with him, provided my contact information and handed over the keys. After a few weeks went by, I called to inquire about the status to which Rocky informed me that he hadn't got to it yet. I respectfully acknowledged and we disconnected the call. I called again another three weeks after that and he informed me he still had yet to get to it, but had intentions of doing so the following week. (This conversation took place toward the end of the week, and although I cannot recall exactly which day, if I really wanted to I could check phone records.) Toward the end of the seventh week, he called me but I couldn't answer. He left me a voicemail and sounded a bit frantic as he requested I return his call as soon as possible. He also emailed me very shortly thereafter. I returned the call some minutes later and he proceeded to tell me that someone had attempted to steal the car, damaging the drivers side door, rear fender, drivers side mirror, lower trim on the same side as well as the front right portion of the front bumper. I asked him to explain in detail what happened. He proceed to explain that he left the keys in the ignition with the door unlocked, that someone had cut his chain link fence on one side of the facility near the railroad tracks and tried to get it up past a small storm drain inlet / outlet and across or adjacent to the tracks. I asked why he left the keys in the ignition with the door unlocked to which he did not have a real answer. He said he would "take care of it all" and fix my failed rear main seal for free when this was all over. I asked him when he planned on having his insurance company out to evaluate to which he replied hopefully soon. A day or so passed and I followed up with him. He then asked if we could settle it directly without the involvement of the insurance company. Knowing that there was a chance they would total it out, I agreed and connected to him a reputable body shop that I have done business with in the past. The immediately following weekend I went to his shop to retrieve the car and assess the damages. At this time Rocky showed me how the thieves tried to steal the car, that he was moving cars around in the lot, returned to where mine was and noticed it was gone. This is where things get unclear... Was the theft attempt at night? Was it during the day. Did the thieves run? I never quite got an answer to this. I delivered the car to the body shop, they negotiated with Rocky (who I was told provided a down payment for the repairs) and got to work a day or so later. After a few days, the body shop owner called me and informed me that Rocky was unable to proved the remainder of the payment due to losing his wallet and his credit cards getting stolen and being used; that Willian (Rocky) had to go to the DMV to get his license replaced and so on. The body shop owner asked him if he had a company check to which Rocky replied he did not. At this point I contacted Rocky but he didn't answer so I left a voicemail requesting a call back. He did not call me, but proceeded to email me instead with the same explanation he gave the body shop owner, assuring me that he would pay the owner the following week. He did pay him the following week. I then proceeded to inform Rocky that when I picked up the car, I noticed he left it outside in the elements (and obviously susceptible to theft, especially with the keys in the ignition and the door unlocked) when we keep it garaged (as he could clearly see when I delivered in in fine condition). I asked him if he could please schedule a date for me to deliver it again when he can get to it immediately. This was on 11/03/22 to which he replied "I'll let you know probably a couple weeks". I replied with "Ok. Is there any way we can schedule something? I would hate to wait two weeks and find out that the wait continues to remain." He didn't reply, so I followed up on 11/05/22 with "Hey, Rocky. Any idea when we can bring the car back and have work commence same day?" His reply came two days later and consisted of "I'll let you know". That was 11/07/22. It is now 11/30/22. Beware of this individual and his organization. I'll allow you to make your own assessment but I think if you read this entire review, there's a chance it shaped your perception already.

Jeff did an amazing job - being new to the area and extremely careful who touches my Vette, but my fears were soon put to rest. He takes his time and the work is exceptional without being over priced. He doesn't cut corners and he uses superior quality products. He installed HID Headlights, wrapped my calipers, installed front splitter and side skirts and also painting my screens while being friendly and patient. Jeff is a master wrapper and he does his job with pride and care. My 2006 350z roof's paint is peeling off due to the sun exposure but he managed to cover it with metallic black vinyl wrap just like the roof was done perfectly. He also listens to your concerns and gives you better ideas if you're not sure about some of the options. The wrap had torn sections, parts that were overlapped, missing pieces that needed to be put back on my doors/trunk and areas where there was dirt under the wrap. After waiting so long and paying almost 3k I expected far better quality/care for my car. He also somehow broke my driver's side mirror (it doesn't adjust anymore) This entire experience was extremely disappointing, if I could do it over again I would not because it was not worth the stress or headache. I would recommend that this guy gets a booking system to keep his clients in order and to keep him from over booking and wasting people's time.
