I was recommended by one of my friends & came here for the first time to get my hair dyed an all over color. The salon is located inside a small, charming building-- it feels super homey when you walk inside. Lang was very welcoming and personable. She listened attentively as I described what I wanted and my concerns. My hair had been previously dyed black and had highlights, which I wanted to get rid of ASAP. Dyeing hair to a lighter color from artificial black can be a tedious process, but my hair came out perfectly as a chocolate brown color. It looked healthier, more natural, and I loved the color. One of the things I like about Lang is that she really cares about the treatment and condition of your hair. Some hair stylists will fry your ends and will do anything to get to the color they want, despite considering all the damage that it will cause. After she blow dried my hair and placed a nice smoothing product, my hair felt nice and soft. Absolutely no rough, frizzled ends-- what a relief! I liked that I was able to get my hair dyed, trimmed, blow dried, and out of there in less than two hours. It beats being at a busy salon for hours on end. It was very convenient to come to my appointment and not have to waste the day away. When lightening my hair at other salons, the process usually involves having my hair bleached (wait & wash), then having the color mix put in (wait & wash), and sometimes even a toner. Nope--- it just took one mix & wash for my color to be complete. It's really nice that she sees clients by appointments because you get to receive one-on-one care and attention, rather than hair stylists who multi-task between clients. It's nice not feeling rushed. On top of great quality and service, she has reasonable prices too. I highly recommend her!

Her hair color looked very natural, and it was shiny and looked healthy. I decided to try this salon and it was worth it! The place was located within a block from Kennedy on Howard and it was easy to find, with adequate parking in the front. I had made an appointment with Lang and was seen promptly at the assigned time. She was very friendly and accommodating and listened to what I wanted to do with my hair. She gave her expert thoughts on what would be best for my hair, carefully taking into consideration my concerns and finally, going through with what we decided on the color and type of hair dye. She was very thorough and really took her time to completely cover every part of my scalp with the dye. She used high quality hair dye, and it was very gentle on my scalp, that no stinging or strong odors were noted . Afterwards, she cut my hair, and did it very precisely and placed a lot of attention and care on this . She eventually blow dried my hair and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I know she did such a fabulous job since I looked so much younger, as my hair had a uniform warm and rich color, and it looked more full bodied and lighter!! I definitely felt much much better!! Lang makes me feel at home, with her friendly demeanor and she keeps a lively conversation as she works on my hair.
