Brian gave me a medium fade on my right side and essentially shaved my left side right up to my part line, which would be a spot for a high fade. I left the chair in denial thinking that it might be alright. I now realize that I have to get a "high and tight" in order for my hair to meet AR670-1 standards of being tapered. This is because of how high and close the fade is on my left side. Army standard aside, having one side of your head shaved close up high, when the other is tapered moderately isn't a good look for anybody.
