Hey there, I stopped in recently at the DTW location. I fly 200 days a year so I greatly appreciate these little reprieves. With today's human condition we are soooo quick to complain I try to point out good service when I experience it. I want to give some recognition to Ms. Tina who was working the morning I popped in. I'm sure it has been hectic for her and all the other airport workers this week with the weather and flight issues so I understand when people are less than 100% but Ms. Tina was AMAZING! She was welcoming, patient, sweet, helpful and a fantastic representative for your company. I left behind a small item that she could have easily tossed out (some wonderful oranges and a phenomenal piece of cheesecake- HA HA)- I came back an hour or so later and she had held it in case I came back. If there is any way to show her some appreciation or give her some recognition please do on my behalf. Her energy was true and authentic, and I'm sure she represents herself and your company this way every day!

It's divided into two rooms: one with coffee and alcohol, and the other with a small buffet. The food selection was fairly limited, so I wouldn't plan on having a full meal here. The beverage offerings were better, with self-serve beer, liquor, mixers, and a coffee machine. I enjoyed a few cafe Americanos topped off with Irish cream and Jack Daniel's Not the best lounge but it was clean, comfortable, and a decent place to relax before our flight.

Although I arrived at the Freedom Center 2 minutes before closing time, the lady there (9/23) was very kind to let me grab some snacks to take with me. Thank you for being available to the Military Community! I love this country and Citizens like her and the organization that make serving this country worthwhile. My only suggestion is please have longer hours if the organization is able to recruit more volunteers that would be fantastic because many of us take the later flights to save money.Haha

This terminal has 4-5 Delta Sky Club lounges, and this one (near gate A18) was the closest near my gate. I made a quick stop a few Monday evenings ago to grab a small bite before my flight. Getting in was really easy, and there was essentially no line. The lounge is spacious and I had ample seats to choose from. There was a decent variety of food, but sadly, I didn't have enough time to sample all of it. I quickly grabbed a bit of mashed potatoes, pita & hummus, chickpea salad, and Swedish meatballs. Besides the chickpea salad, everything was unbearably salty. I ate half of the meatball and was unable to eat much more. Overall, food was just OK. At least the food tasted fresh and there was plenty of space, which cannot be said for other lounges.

It is great on its own or with a side of hash browns and ketchup. Your choice! The seating feels a bit crowded but certainly beats sitting outside by the even more crowded gates. If your hungry, they got lots of hot and cold foods and plenty of drinks to keep you satisfied. Overall I am content with this lounge. Other Delta lounges, please take note.

I had the opportunity to visit it for the first time, and because it was not crowded, it made for a pleasant experience. I had already visited a Delta Sky Club in Chicago in the morning, so knew another visit on my layover would not additionally cut into my allocation of fifteen for the year. Both my arriving and departure flights were in terminal A. The delta app will give real-time crowdedness, and it was clear that the 4 lounges in A were quite busy, with some having queues. It was a 2 hour layover, and my inbound flight was early, so decided to take the upper level train to get there. The train just goes back forth from one end of Terminal A (gates A1 - A28; gates A56 - A78). The middle stop is for baggage claim and also has an underground tunnel that goes to Terminal B & C (it's about a 10 minute walk). The lounge is relatively small with a tiny bar (the soda fountain needs to be operated by the bartender) and small buffet area. All three beers on tap were available as complementary so got the tangerine wheat, and the simple curry chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans was good. Glad I stopped by for a late lunch. Just had to remember to leave with plenty of time to catch the boarding call for my connecting flight in Terminal A.

When I raised the issue, the manager's response was to tell me to go to another Sky Club. Telling a disabled customer to leave rather than providing equal access is unacceptable. Federal accessibility rules require airline-controlled facilities to be accessible and usable by passengers with disabilities. "Go somewhere else" is not an accessibility solution. The restroom experience was just as troubling. The only single-user restroom with the wheelchair-accessibility symbol and a sink I need for disability-related toileting was occupied by an employee named Rashid for 18 minutes. When he came out, he first said he had been fixing the toilet, despite having no tools visible. He then said it was the employee bathroom. When I reported this, the manager became upset and insisted it was "not a disabled restroom" because it was "all gender." The sign clearly displays both "ALL GENDER" and the wheelchair-accessibility symbol. Those designations are not mutually exclusive. An all-gender restroom can also be the club's accessible restroom. The issue is not that accessible restrooms can only be used by disabled people. The issue is that the only restroom meeting my disability-related needs was apparently being treated as an employee bathroom, the employee gave conflicting explanations, and management dismissed my concerns rather than addressing them. No accessible seating, no meaningful solution, and no concern from management. Delta should investigate this club, correct its seating arrangement, and retrain its staff. Accessibility is not optional.

Part of it is just the degeneration of the general public with many classless people dressed like they just left the gym - part of it Delta having no pride in their lounges. If anyone with a credit card can enter, it's no longer exclusive. If no Delta employees care, it's no longer enjoyable.
