Kathy is so knowledgeable of the Delta. Expect to see wildlife, learn some history, and benefit from helpful teaching/guidance if you've never paddled a Kayak or SUP before. She also offers a kids river camp during the summer months that my son really enjoys. Many years working on the water has helped to mold her into the most capable, and kind person we've met since moving here to CA.

Yesterday on 5/29/2021 I reserved the Delta Kayak Adventures from 6-8pm. This was an AWESOME experience. This was my first time doing this and Kathy was soooo helpful and a very great and patient instructor. She took pictures of us so that she can text us the pictures for us to remember this experience. I got REALLY wet so make sure you bring a towel to dry off afterwards. Thank you so Much, Kathy for making this memorable for us.

Super fun! My husband and I rented a tandem kayak and we're able to go out just us two. She gave us some tips of where to head and it was great, we even saw otters.

Kathy and Bonnie are the mother-daughter team that got our group off of land and onto the water a couple weeks ago. I planned a day trip and most of us were paddleboarding, but we had a few kayakers join in last minute too. What a beautiful day it was at the Antioch Marina. Especially once you get past the private gates that get you into the pier. Definitely don't use the public restroom. What a sh**house! But this team will let you into their private restroom if needed. The girls were so friendly and nice and didn't waste a bunch of our time with instruction, even though several of us had never done it before. They fitted us into really nice PFDs and very nice equipment, which they have plenty of!! It was a windy day on the water but that just made for better exercise. We went home tan and tone! There are lots of great places to kayak and paddleboard around here, but this one is close to home and has plenty of space around the boats and also on the delta, so there's somewhere for everyone to feel comfortable. Be sure to stop and check out the nearby RiverView Lodge when you leave for a drink or food.

Best Kayak place in the bay! Just sitting in the kayak and flowing with the water could be so relaxed

Took the Sunset Guided Tour and it's a great intro to paddling the Delta. Loved it and definitely recommend.

First time kayaking ---in a tandem kayak with my husband. It was a lot of fun, a beautiful day/area, a fair price to pay for two hours. We had a nice smooth experience from parking to the return of the kayak. We will go again.

We had a blast today. I hadn't kayaked in maybe 10 years or more, and then I only did it once, so I am far from an expert. Reservations were a snap, the young woman who helped was kind and gave basic instruction, their load-in thingie (that's the technical term) is great for those of us who aren't experienced kayakers, and the recommendation to visit the nearby Dow Wetlands was spot-on. I would love to go on more kayak adventures with this outfit.

Kayaking here was amazing. It was really easy and fun. I really wished I did the two hours bc the hour rental went by way tooooo fast. Definitely will be doing it again soon.

Easy way to get out and social distance-sunset tour

I did two tours in 2 weeks, both at Dow Wetlands. The first was during the day, the second her sunset-full moonrise tour which was magical! I've rented kayaks from many places, and this one has the best entry-exit system with a little ramp right on the dock and bars to hold onto. Usually getting in or out of a kayak is awkward, but this setup made the process smooth. Who knew Antioch had such a nice marina? Kathy the proprietor meets you at a secure gate. Plenty of parking. A fancy restaurant nearby for later. The Dow wetlands is this little calm oasis right off the San Joaquin River. I just felt my stress melt away on the peaceful water. Lots of birds, a turtle, a peek at a river otter and a beaver. I liked being able to take a guided tour since I am not familiar with the Delta. Lots of places to explore, so I'll be back.

Kathy is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable about kayaking and the area. With this virus driving everyone bonkers, We were thankful that they were open. The prices were very reasonable. Thank you for an amazing birthday.

Anttioch Marina Kayaking, a must see for anyone living or visiting Antioch.

We started first thing in the morning at 10am, so we were able to enjoy the Delta breeze before the heat of the afternoon arrived. Prior to arriving, we made a reservation online: we requested the time and date we wanted to kayak two days prior to our actual date, put a $25 deposit down, and also noted that we wanted to pick blackberries (the website says blackberries are in season from now 'til end of August-ish). Upon arrival, we turned into the wrong area -- look for the tiki-looking hit floating next to the Lighthouse Bar & Grill! We caught onto the mechanics of kayaking fairly quick for absolute beginners -- the still waters in the route she gave us did help -- and spent a lot of time maneuvering to get the kayak close enough to the blackberry vines. To protect your hands further, bring gloves. Suzie gave us a drawn map of where to kayak for the blackberries and, if we had enough time aside from picking, to kayak to a private beach area of some sort. We didn't have enough time, but I'd highly consider renting for 3 hours instead for more time to enjoy the Delta, pick, and make it to the beach and back. You can also bring a sandwich or lunch if you make it to the beach area or take a break in the more still waters, just pack it in a waterproof container. Suzie was sweet and very helpful for us newbies -- we also called her when we made a wrong turn to clarify that we were in the right area. Will happily come back again to rent from Suzie!

From my direct experience, the…read morewarning signs are hard to ignore: management turnover, frustrated employees, and ownership that no longer seems willing to invest in the club's future. Prospective buyers should look closely before committing. The fleet is now made up of aging boats, roughly 4-6 years old, and the wear is evident. Inventory has reportedly been reduced from 9 boats to 5, including only 2 surf boats, while pricing remains unchanged. At the same time, members are being asked to move to an "unlimited bookings" model that still limits usage to no more than 3 bookings per month!!! Last season alone, boats experienced issues ranging from failed ballast pumps and broken amps to damaged railings and inconsistent availability. Yet despite reduced inventory, aging equipment, and declining service levels, ownership appears intent on maintaining the same pricing without meaningful reinvestment. Anyone considering joining should do their homework, verify the facts independently, and speak with former members. Membership has reportedly fallen from 42 to 17 and continues to trend downward. That kind of decline does not happen without reason.

Prior to excursion, my friends and I had to reserve a spot on their website. The initial tour ended up being fully booked, however, James the guide offered open up another day due to the moon tour being so popular. The meeting area was at the boat launch ramp area. We signed waivers and were given a run down on kayaking 101 (it was our first kayaking excursion) with 4 other people. The weather was warm, the waters were calm and the mosquitoes were biting. So don't forget to apply sunscreen and have plenty of bug repellent! Wear water shoes, bring snacks and water. Also, maybe bring a small fanny pack or water resistant bag to carry small items in. As we paddled, James checked up on everybody and made sure we were all doing okay. Along the way he informed us about the wetlands and what type of wildlife were around. James even provided us with his own bug repellent to use to keep the mosquitoes at bay. Once it was dark enough, we settled in an area of the wetlands to wait for the moon to rise. My friends and I were elated and in awe that we got to see the Harvest moon rise on the hills whilst kayaking. Kodak moment for sure. The journey around Suisun Bay lasted for about 2 hours. It was a cool experience, especially with the moon acting as our guiding light. My arms definitely got in a work out from paddling so much. Overall, great experience, reasonably priced and James was professional and informative. Highly recommend!
