Don't, just don't go. As someone in the sport for over 40 years, stay as far away from anything using the 'Delta' name. Scam artists, that are misleading in their fees and upcosts, and staff that bold face lie about personally owned paintball markers being 'illegal' to own or use. Never fall for the BS fake crap they try to pass off in Shopping Malls either. Delta Force fields are nothing but 'Parent traps' to unsuspecting parents who really don't know what they should be paying for, or how much. Do yourself a favour, ask real paintball players where to go, go on facebook, and look up local fields, and ask the players that post there, where to go. read more

BEWARE OF THE OPTIMUM DEAL They sell this to people who do not know paintball expenses and it is very misleading. Because this was bought stated as all inclusive, it costs us an additional $103 dollars for a birthday party of 12.(for $350 bullets) Their cost comparative deal is $55 per person which includes 500 paintballs. I phoned through and the company is fine with misleading people through fine print. For reference their best deal is 2000 bullets is $246.40 on site. For reference, in Alberta the same quality bullets are $75.00 for 2000. This is like a bowling alley charging you extra for the bowling balls so you can bowl. read more

Absolutely terrible place. The staff here are all rude, egotistical teenagers with zero people of customer service skills. Everything is run like an after high school special. I had a kid tell me that I shouldn't put on the provided overalls because the paint is easy to wash out. There was no soap anywhere. Only sanitizer in the portable toilets. I had to ask 3 people to get some soap in the out door sink area. The finale guy who "helped" me (had an English accent) told me that I should just use the sanitizer because that's what it's there for. I told him no. That's not enough if you've just gone number 2. He then persists and tries telling that yes in fact it is and that's why it's there in hospitals. I wasn't interested in arguing with someone that literally has no idea what they are talking about. He then brought dish soap to fill up the hand soap. Because he was annoyed that I made him do his job, he was combative and wanted to know what group I was in. As if he was going to ban me or something. Outrageous! Just from that interaction alone I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague but it doesn't stop there... The kids explaining the games were not just rude but condescending. I called one of them out on it and he immediately reverse justified his speech. One of the worst employees there was Cole. He should be fired as he isn't fit to talk to anyone. Our guns not only kept jamming but they kept running out of air. Obviously they're not being filled up properly. Everyone's masks were getting foggy and no one could see out of them. We asked the "marshals" for assistance and we were met with a tough luck response and apathy. There's no area like most decently run paintball places to take off your mask and wipe the goggles. So once you couldn't see 5 min into the game you were done playing. We went as a large group and most of us left unsatisfied, felt ripped off and deeply underserved. When there's so many better establishments that aren't just run by children, respect you, and don't try to hustle you out of a few hundred dollars a person, why go here? read more

This was my first experience with paintball and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The venue is outdoors with six game zones: Resident Evil, Tropic Thunder, Prison Break, D-Day Landing (their largest field), Speedball, and Jungle Attack. Each game is about 30 min. We started at 9am and ended at 4pm. Everything was well organized from start to finish. I called the 1-800 number several times to have my questions answered; the number is available 24/7. They suggest that you book at least two weeks before. You have to prepay for each player the cost of the first 100 paintballs ($14.99). After confirming the booking, they tell you to bring a change of clothes and to wear old but good trainers or boots. I should have worn boots since it rained a couple of days before. My foot stepped into a puddle in the beginning so they were wet all day :(. There were puddles behind some of the shields/barriers. They had great phone service! The combat coveralls, padded body armor, and helmet were clean and not smelly as I feared. There is a safety briefing before you start. There was someone who asked each group whether you had any health issues i.e. asthma, as she was a qualified first aid attendant which I found comforting. Depending on the number of people that day, they will put you into groups of about 12 to 20. They do not open unless there is a minimum of 20 booked. I was glad they divided the teams up so that all the teenagers plus a few adults played against each other, and the adult only teams played against each other. Colored tape is wrapped around your upper arm to indicate which team you're on. Each team is assigned a marshall who supervises each game. The marshall explains the game and gives great tips and pointers on how to beat the other team. He times everything so you have a chance to play offense and defense. He also ensures that opponents are not shooting within 3 meters of each other. The marshal was great at making sure everyone was safe (I.e. don't lift up your helmet!), as well as having a great time. For players who are more timid, you could stay behind a barrier/hide and play conservatively, or be one of the brave ones and rush forward to push the opponents back which of course they encourage you to do to win the game. There are 10 min rest breaks between each game zone so you have a chance to catch your breath, drink water, and get more pods of paintballs. There are picnic tables under tents as well as in the open where you can rest and have your lunch. We brought our own lunch; otherwise, you can order pizza there for about $10. Washrooms are Pit Stops. Their small hut sells drinks, costumes (yes, costumes!) and anti-fog wipes ($1) which two of us needed after the first game or two. I bought 2000 paintballs to share amongst the four of us. Since some of us were more conservative with shooting than others, it lasted most of the day. The paintball semi-automatic wasn't as heavy as I had imagined. The extra pod or two also didn't weigh as much as I thought, so was easy to carry in their battle belts. The whole day was enjoyable for everybody. It was great to get so much fun exercise out in the fresh air. I came out with a few bruises which were well worth it! All the adrenaline keeps you going! Definitely wear gloves as a few people didn't and had small abrasions around their hand. Minimum age to play is 10 years old. Staff were mature, responsible, and fun. They were very accommodating. When there was a group of young teens fooling around and being loud and obnoxious while waiting for their ride home, a staff member approached them and politely told them they were disturbing the peace as well as there were other complaints about them, and told them they had to leave the premises. I was so glad to see that the staff weren't afraid to call them out on it. The only thing I would recommend to do next time is to print out a map of how to get there. My GPS lost connection/service when we were five to ten minutes away. Worth the hour drive to Maple Ridge for an action packed day! A well run outfit. Would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends and families. read more

The paintballing experience is fantastic, great fields and staff all around. The business end of things are where things get predatory. I was having gun issues one day and wished to fix my gun to return the next week and fire any of the paint that I had purchased but not used. Little did I know that you are not even allowed to bring THEIR PAINT onto the field. Not only that but good luck getting a large group booked. Since there is no way to cancel a ticket you pretty much gotta hope that everyone shows up so you're not out $70. Also, the tickets you see circulating around with the International Paintball Group are a complete scam and don't actually save you money (in my case it made things more expensive). read more

Poorly organized staff, our group was held up being made to wait over and over so that the staff could accommodate another group. Complete waste of time in my opinion, lots of "sorry" no attempt to make up for the deficiencies, or resolve the situation. Also, their equipment is average enough, and had few issues in that area. Although some of the gear is in disrepair but still in circulation. The course itself was fine, at least the one I had time to see. However, I'd have preferred a lesser course with better service. read more

Great service and very organized. You get camo coveralls, so you don't have to worry about your clothing. The fields are tight which forces movement. Don't really understand the "no headshot" rule. I know... it prompts safety, but when only your head and gun are peeping through, the options are very limited to get a body shot. Just saying. On weekends, arrive early to get your gear. The paintball price posters are very deceiving with the "Save $..." being so large. Overall, this is the better paintball facility in the lower mainland and recommend it. We even saw two black bears on the field. FYI: look for groupon deals. read more

Best outdoor paintball experience ever. The day we went, there were around 200 patrons (not sure if that's normal for them). The staff is extremely thorough and very good with emphasizing safety precautions. There were people of all ages and surprisingly large number of children. Games usually around 20 v 20 and split by age groups. The zones are all unique and have different tasks - Prison Break my personal favorite as you get to crawl into abandoned buses and prevent the other team from escaping. We didn't attend the last event called The Big Game where it sounded like a huge free-for-all event. When we bought the ticket in a mall and they were trying to rush us we came the next day and we saw the same woman she said she never talked to us with a grin on her face. She said that people would rise from the graves and we saw that nothing was happing we got bored.Guns, they were very heavy and they kept on jamming and running out of air.Personally I would say that keep away from that field. read more

WARNING: AVOID. This incident took place August 17th 2019 at Delta Force Paintball in Maple Ridge. It outlines and incident that led to a disturbing encounter with Samuel Watson. Initial Incident During Round 1 of the D-Day Normandy game, I was on the attacking side. I proceeded to go to the left respawn location to raise the flag. Once the flag was raised, some defenders moved off the hill (which they were not supposed to) and moved to the left side of the respawn building and began firing. The coordinating Marshall had stated very clearly to everyone that no defenders were allowed to leave the hill. At this point I was hit many times, one of which left a bleeding welt on the front of my head (I was wearing a half helmet). Naturally, I was upset given that I was not expecting fire from that direction and I went back to tell a Marshall that 3-4 players had been cheating by going outside the allowed boundaries. They simply went there and pushed them back in-bound. I decided to head back to the tables as I was in pain, and frustrated that they weren't removed from the game. Disturbing Encounter While I was sitting at a table tending to my wound and waiting for my party to return from the game. The manager Samuel Watson came to me and asked what had happened. I told him, and he proceeded to tell me in a condescending tone that "it's a paintball game, and people cheat". His tone and manner was chastising towards me - as if I'm an idiot to expect otherwise. He also mentioned that there is nothing he can do about people cheating because everybody does it. I told him that they could kick the people out of the game if they are caught cheating as it ruins it for other players. He told me he can't do that because people pay hundreds of dollars and he can't kick them. I told him that "that is subjective because people ruined the game for me, and I also paid money". All the while we were talking he was getting more and more agitated. At this point he shouted at me "SHUTUP, IT'S MY TURN TO TALK NOW". I was quite shocked by this and I calmly stated "If you are going to fucking talk to me like that, then I don't want to hear it". When he heard this he yelled "you know what, FUCK YOU" and he hunched forward and gave me the middle finger. I was shocked and I replied "how can you swear at your customer?" and he said "You swore at me first, and I don't give a shit if you are a customer or not, I am going to swear back at you". I told him I never swore at him and repeated what I had said to him and elaborated that here I am wounded from people cheating, and I have you swearing and yelling at me. He turned towards and shouted again "You know what, if you are going to be like that take off your suit right now"...and he walked towards me in a threatening manner. At this point I didn't know if he was telling me this because he wanted to physically fight me or kick me out. But he then said "I'm kicking you out". I was in shock and told him that "I am here, bleeding from my forhead from a wound I got from people cheating, and you are kicking ME out?" I was in disbelief. He asked for my team number and said he would write up a report about what happened with "the honest truth". The rest of my party members came by, and we all left as the fun had been killed for everyone. It is important to note this whole incident happened in front of many other people, including 2 members of my own party, one of which did step in to verbally defend me at one point because of how grossly inappropriate Samuel Watson's conduct was. Samuel Watson's behaviour is unacceptable. Not only did we not complete half of what me and my party paid for, we were rudely dismissed and treated like absolute garbage in front of at least 20 other people (including children). What happened that day was abhorrent in every sense of the word. I'm not normally one to take the time to make a write-up, but I don't want anyone else to experience what I and others experienced that day. We came to celebrate two birthdays, but left with a nightmare. I emailed the above on August 19th 2019 to Delta Force and they phoned me. Over a couple phone calls I was told disciplinary action would occur as well as a refund and that they wold contact me again. I have not heard what the conclusion was or received any refund yet. read more

I would not recommend booking a birthday party with these people unless you enjoy being extremely frustrated, and upset....We had purchased a 100 dollar paintball package in March from them on a promotion that they were having for my sons birthday party, it was supposed to give us 45 dollars off the price of admission for each player, they made it sound great so i agreed knowing my sons birthday was coming, but when the time came to book the party for my 11 year old son and we tried to use our package we purchased for 100 dollars and book his party they pulled a bait and switch and informed us that our package suddenly did not apply due to a bunch of ridiculous and obscure reasons so as a result of theses people refusing to honor their promotion of 45 dollars off per child I was out 100 dollars for this paintball package and absolutely no discount on the price of admission as promised. My 11 year old son had his heart set on paintballing for his birthday and i did not want to disappoint him so I was forced to book the party at their regular rate of 6 x$120 dollars per child, so at his point I'm out the price of admission with no discount plus the 100 dollars for their misleading promotion that we purchased and they refused to honor. We then had 1 child suddenly cancel so we simply needed to adjust our number of players from 7 to 6, this was only a few hours later after the initial booking and the party was a week away, but they absolutely refused to refund us the price of the 7th player saying we could use it as a credit in the future but they absolutely refused to adjust the price for the one less player from 7 to 6. At this point I'm stuck paying full price for 7 players but am only bringing 6 plus I am out 100 dollars for their misleading promotion that they refused to honor, so a 600 dollar party is now costing us $850.00, We went from a discount on the price of admission as promised with their promotion to where they actually robbed us of an extra 250 dollars ON TOP of the price of admission for 6 children !!!, FYI I will als be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau regarding this fiasco and their misleading and very dishonest policies. read more

First time playing，overall is a quite unique and interesting game...however I am pretty sure I am not going to play it again. First of all, it might be due to my team mates, but friendly fire are occurred quite frequently then I thought, and most of it are happened in less then 10 meters, which hurt a lot and after a day I still got bruises on my hand and leg. Second, is the standard rifle provided in the package we purchased (more like a pistol), believe me that thing has nothing to do with the word "accuracy", still you can purchase an upgrade gun for a more accurate engagement, but it definitely didn't improve a lot. in the field it's exactly like what the marshal said "don't try to snipe", which leaves us with the only option of "close quarters combat" and if you're a fan of eating paints and getting bruises, good luck with that. Anyway, the third is the critical one, that is the condition of gaming experience, for me it's kind of hard to accept(could be horrible when it rains). Two problems, first, the cloth smells really bad, feels like they used tons of bleach and the mask is ... well you will get used to it during the game. so I do really recommend you bring you own old cloth which you don't care about and washable for the game, a mask wouldn't be necessary to get one in advance but getting a mask is for someone planning in long term gaming (and smells better?). The other problems is the most troublesome one, the fog in the mask. And yes it's exactly like what happened in your swimming gaggle. The first 2 minutes of the game is fine, but after that you will find yourself basically fighting blind. You can't shoot, but if you do, you won't be able to know if it's the enemy of the ally.(which is why there are so many friendly fire), the worst of all is for the safety reason you can't take off your mask during the game or in the field so you have to suck it up before you get out the field. What's even worst is you purchased some fog wipe from them and it doesn't work...so my best solution is to bring your own fog remover for your swimming google from home or purchase one in advance. This place is a scam designed from the very first interaction to bilk you of money. Paint is really expensive but more expensive if you share with your friends. Upgrades are Shoddy at best and equipment is poor, unkempt and make was exceptionally malodorous. Experienced players avoid this place due to unscrupulous business practices. Pros: Friendly staff, though a little hard on the upselling. Efficient gear hand out. Game modes were varied and mostly entertaining. Cons: Poor scheduling - little time to rest between games, and the organizers still stopped two of our games halfway because we were so far behind schedule. Very expensive - with a Groupon, we paid approximately $100 per person for entrance, equipment and extra paintballs, not including lunch or drinks. No water fountain onsite, which is crazy for a day-long, highly physical outdoor activity. The paintball was mostly fun, but it was clear they wanted to make as much money off you as possible. We went as a group. Our assigned Marshall was awesome! They really tried to ensure we were all having fun. My belt had a faulty holder so I lost 100 balls and I was pretty bummed. Played paintball here at Delta Force 2 days ago with my buddies. I've been to several other paintball locations in the lower mainland area and so far this place is my favorite. What's good? The gear is kept quite clean and is fairly well maintained. The guns are good as long as they don't malfunction. The staff are friendly and helpful, carrying around extra guns and rags in case something happens. The base camp is well maintained and generally the different maps are really fun with trees, and bunkers or cars and cabins. Most importantly they match players against other equally skilled/beginning players and move people around if one team is getting wrecked. Makes a huge difference. What sucks? Pretty much the usual. The markers are very expensive, even a few bucks more than other places, but if you buy bulk like 1000 for $100 it's not too bad. The markers were also not good quality as they were not breaking on someone about 70% of the time. It was really hot outside! No excuses for bouncing shots! But that never bugged me because I was hit several times per match and got to keep playing due to them not counting as a hit. Also a few cheaters, but if you called the marshal over he would gladly take them out mid match if you hit them. Also my gun malfunctioned. That does suck. But I got a replacement on the fly - remember the marshals carry extras. Last thoughts? Really fine establishment. They sell wipes that stop your mask from fogging. They work. Buy one. Seriously. Only a dollar. $1 is worth not being blind. Also head shots don't count. Like wtf is dat. It becomes harder to hit someone behind cover but eh, it encourages more pushing and less camping (that's a good thing). They sell smoke bombs too. Nice place. I'll be returning in a couple of weeks. This one star is for the fact that their staff at the centre were friendly but other than this, I found nothing that would ever make me return to Delta Force Paintballing. One day these people were offering huge discount at Willowbrook Mall in Langley for the entrance to their centre which they claimed was worth $45 per person at regular price but they ended up giving me 20 for $95. What they failed to inform me is how much more money they strip you of once you book your paintballing experience. They ask you to call a 1-800 number that appears to be somewhere in Europe. At the time of booking over the phone you are REQUIRED to buy 100 paintballs for each player at $14 each which they said is non-refundable and non-transferable. Again, they neglected to clarify that they are non-transferable even from player to player of the group which means that if one from your group doesn't make it for some reason, nobody else is allowed to play with those 100 paint balls that you already paid for. This is exactly what happened to me. I booked and paid for 6 players and only 5 showed up. While I was not expecting to get the entrance ticket or the money paid for the paintballs for this player, I never expected to be denied the 100 balls for the rest of the group to play with! I demanded the money back or the paintballs that I had paid for which were both denied even by their customer service manager. Over the phone I had been told that additional paintballs could be purchased at the centre. Little did I know that the paintball packages started at $50 per player AND that whatever package one player buys all of them HAVE to buy! Do you know when you are really looking forward to doing something and then when you actually get to do it, it isn't all that you thought it might be? Well, Delta Force Paintballing is NOT one of those times. And I am not just talking about how kids feel about it. In April we adults took six preteen boys to Delta Force in Maple Ridge for a birthday party treat. So there was plenty of excitement and the anticipation of finally putting all of their preteen Mindcraft /Grand Theft Auto 5 shooting skills into some actual (but fake) combat. But I was excited too. And I wasn't the only one in our group who wondered how one would handle themselves in a paintball shoot out situation. At Delta Force there are at least six zones each with a different objective which gives you an opportunity to figure this out about yourself. Along with about 200 other enthusiastic PB participants. Some as old as 70 and the youngest we saw was about 10. The majority being male. Val the Manager cleverly pitted our group of family and kids against another group of just family and kids. Long ago he must have figured out that pitting seasoned military men with all their own custom guns and years of experience against first time ever playing newbies would be like shooting ducks in a barrel. Probably for safety and also profit, you must purchase all of your paintballs there. Expect to buy about 1000 balls per person if you are going to stay until it closes at 4:30pm. At $100 CAD for 1000 balls a birthday party can get pricy. Whatever, after suiting up in their special issue camouflage coveralls and helmets we loaded up our cartridges in the safe area. Then Val doled out safety rules and a few tips, like no shooting at close range. More on that later. Soon our troop of 40 kids and parents were off to capture each other's generals in the Tropic Thunder zone. Personally I wasn't sure that I would want to shoot at a kid but that thought soon evaporated when a dozen kids started shooting at me without a moment of hesitation. Besides it is just a paintball right? Wrong. Ok it is just a paintball but at close range it leaves a good sized bruise that you will have to wear for over a week.
