For birthday shenanigans I once took a friend here as a surprise, alternatively I could have just…read morebeaten the complete crap out of him because when we left we were COVERED in bruises. Who needs to travel out to the woods of Bendigo to indulge in some paintball action when you can do it indoors (warmer) and in Port Melbourne (so convenient!) The Indoor Paintball Centre has two large courts set up with various obstacles and hiding spots. You are immediately put in to two teams and the waging of war begins over three different games. As a lady, I was required to wear a whole lot more safety gear then the boys, which made it difficult to run (I blame the equipment for my lack of paintballing talent) but nevertheless, I exited the court with new bumps and welts. Not very attractive. It is a very expensive day - entry and 100 paintballs is pricey, and to play well you have to buy more after every game. So save up the pennies if you really want to go! Please note; the bar only opens AFTER you have finished, so you can forget the Dutch Courage! Great for bucks parties, or if you really don't like someone.

The floors are not rinsed so they are super slippery. The masked are past their due for clarity and the terrains could be more creative. I recommend they hose the arenas every three days and let dry at the very least. The first gun I had was missing a screw which holds the canister to the gun and would swivel... Told the marshal and he said it doesn't affect game play, that didn't make me fee safe and insisted for a gun with a stable air canister. The staff just don't really care all that much and really just give the impression they want to get paid and go home sadly. Sorry people, move on honestly. You can get better for the same price.

Boasting the largest Paintball Venue in the southern hemisphere, and a short drive from the city,…read moreWorld Series Paintball provides an action packed day that will leave you sore and smiling. Heres a run down of what you'll get up to... After you make you initial booking online, your day starts with a short safety walk through with an experienced paintball pro. This is all the usual duty of care stuff that generally goes in one ear and out the other. Basically, don't shoot people at close range, and don't be an idiot. Once this is done, you are given a mask and a bullet belt and are almost ready to rock. Its here that you'll see the first of many times that the company try to up sell you stuff. Mainly, more bullets (standard starting number is 200), or more armour (which you'll probably need). If you don't go shooting off all your rounds at once, it's pretty easy to conserve your 200 bullets throughout the 4 games you'll be playing, but with an extra hundred only $15, why not?! As for armour, it's best to bring a pair of gloves and something to cover your neck, as these are 2 exposed areas that will cop a lot of bullets. And for the boys, bring a cricket box too, or face the fear of a sore ride home! Now to the games. Everyone gets a gun, and is taken to the first of 4 scenarios. The first is the "Junk Yard" , Game 2 is set in the Wild West, and its a full on cops and robbers game where one team has to try and get as many money sacks back to base whilst the cops shoot at them from the other side of the street. Game 3 was a personal favourite, the "Drug Runners"/ Teams are split and while one is aiming to get a heavy metal box across the border, the other acts as 'border patrol" and shoots the hell out of them. This game was extra fun as although the border patrol team is given the advantage of height and vision, they only get one life before having to sit out the rest of the game. Game 4 is basically a free for all to use up your ammo. With a rule in place to not shoot each other from closer than 8 meters, most of the day is painless. There's the odd bruise is hit from close range, (it really hurts), and mouth full of paint if you cop a pellet in the face and it goes through your mask, but play clever and play safe and you'll have a blast.

We had trouble from the beginning with this company - WSP, Oakleigh. I used a Groupon voucher to…read morebook for a party of eight 15 year-olds. I organised other activities around my booking. I received a phone call 6 days prior to the booking date to say that had moved my booking by one and a half hours to 'make it more awesome'. There was no apologies for the inconvenience to me. Telling me it was more awesome only made me madder. The confirmation email did not state the promised 'pie and a drink' that the voucher had said. I had to fight for this over the phone. It was absolute nonsense that they could be so disorganised. My coupon stated 90 minutes of splattball however it was closer to 50 minutes. 30 minutes was taken up with instructions and it started 5 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early. On the day our group were put with 9 year olds which did NOT make it more awesome. There were too many people squashed together in too small a space and the age group dynamics just did not work. Obviously they moved our group so they could have a sleep-in and just considered putting a ton of different age groups together would make it awesome - NOT. I would not recommend WSP - Oakleigh. We have had much better experiences with different companies.
