Then I remember that it's a free world and disapproving looks from the more mature members of the grown-up community does not prevent me from having a jolly good time on what has to be one of the most fantastic playgrounds in suburbia. It has everything. Everything. Wobbly things, running things, things to stick your head into and get it stuck, swings, slides, bridges, flying foxes and other general obstacles. I can only imagine how brilliant a game of tiggy would be (but at night, so as not to injure small bodies with my own lumbering clumsy one). Built by a team of parents, friends and workers, this playground is a wonderful gift to children, child-minders and child-minded alike. A great way to spend an afternoon in the sun, or even the gloom.

Not being familiar, we found it a bit hard to find but once we found out it was on Level 3 next to all the cinemas and games, we were set! The play centre is well laid out with a separate area for toddlers so they don't get knocked over by the older kids and there is an awesome foam ball room with canons and vacuums that suck up the balls to different sections ready to launch. There's even an awesome pirate ship ride inside the venue! On first impression the centre is clean and well maintained and the staff were very attentive especially amongst all the birthday excitement. The staff were loud and clear when giving instructions and made sure all the kids had drinks topped up and birthday cake. Both the kids and adults were fed with sandwiches, fruits and hot food and you if you're after something a little more special you can also order some desserts from the window display. I think we've found another new place to catch up with our mummy friends! :)

Dancers and acrobats clowning around and hilarious stand up comics make this a fabulous variety show. It's only small so if you lose your child you'll probably find it again. If you're prone to losing your children, get a leash and don't make any more.

There are a few different ways to enter the park on foot and there are walking tracks provided for convenience. I really liked that there was a row of pine trees lining the edge of the park and separating it from the road. It made the park look a lot nicer and contributed to its more upper class feel - well as upper class as a park can feel when there are kids everywhere. It is a nice place for a walk, and great if your personal trainer has told you to find some hills to run up - yep, that was the reason I was there. Warning - there are some real calf-killing hills so I wouldn't let your personal trainer find out about it or you'll be there faster than you can blink!

That is shattered a little when you see the boarded up hole where the slide used to be but other than that it's a pretty well kept playground. It's sponsored by mitre ten and the whole thing is wooden. I was really impressed by the safety of the whole thing and all the hidden nooks and crannies under the built part. There is a cutout section where you can pose like you are driving a big freight liner and a train you can pretend to drive. They do have a Liberty swing here too for children in wheelchairs which is an awesome idea. Highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area with kidlets.
